Transflage State

Yujin and Xiaohui clashed with their special techniques. Xiaohui dashed in with his spear and Yujin met him halfway while shooting laser beams from the tips of his fingers.

“Enough!”

Suddenly, the Lord Commander appeared between them, grappling both of their faces. He then threw them to opposite directions, redirecting their attacks away from each other.

Xiaohui and Yujin were thrown to opposite sides of the hall, crashing against the audience seat. The two of them ran out of fyx and were unable to continue the match.

“Don’t try to kill yourselves.”

The Lord Commander stepped in to prevent them from killing each other. The match got too intense that it almost got dangerous.

The Lord Commander then walked to Xiaohui and carried him on his left shoulder. He then came to Yujin to do the same thing to put him on his other shoulder.

He laid them on the audience seat. He then touched the both of them with medix, healing them.

The match ended in a draw.

After Yujin and Xiaohui’s match, Haneul helped them wrap their wounds in bandages. Yujin got stabbed in his shoulder and Xiaohui got some burns on his palms, so Haneul treated them.

After that, it was time for Haneul’s match. He wondered who he was gonna fight against.

Haneul and the Lord Commander went to the fighting ground. The Lord Commander announced his opponent.

“Soo....who am I fighting, sensei? Yujin and Xiaohui ended in a draw, and I don’t think they can fight anymore either so.....”

The Lord Commander took off his armour and put it aside.

“You’re fighting me, Your Divinity.”

The Lord Commander pointed his palm at Haneul, and shot a ray of light at him.

Haneul swiftly dodged it, realising that the battle has already started.

“Seriously!?” Haneul thought to himself.

The Lord Commander kept shooting balls of light at Haneul, which he kept dodging. He really did not give him any moment to think.

Haneul decided that he could not keep dodging the Lord Commander's attacks any longer. He then decided to attack him directly.

Haneul turned his body into light, entering the Transflage state. He then pinpointed a direction to the Lord Commander in a zigzag.

“Beam Rush!”

Haneul dashed in the speed of light. Before Haneul could reach him, he was stopped by a ball of light that the Lord Commander shot at him. Haneul was surprised.

“How....?”

This was Haneul’s first time to be stopped during his Beam Rush technique. Usually, he always reached the final end of the route he created using this technique, since any interruption was useless against his intangible body.

“Don’t forget that we’re training medix. Your Transflage skill can be nullified once come in contact with medix.”

The Lord Commander made a good point. Haneul just remembered that the Lord Commander was proficient in medix. He was still not used to people being able to attack him in that mode, so Haneul was frantically trying to find a way to get around it.

Still, Haneul didn't stop there. Knowing that his body was tangible didn't mean that he couldn’t handle them. He kept his Transflage state activated and used another technique.

“Transflage Technique: Amaterasu!”

Haneul turned into a giant light creature and increased his size by multiple times. His body was floating, resembling somewhat like a genie. His body almost reached the ceiling of the training hall.

“Not wasting anytime, huh....”

Knowing that the Lord Commander was not an easy opponent to deal with, Haneul immediately threw one of his special techniques. Amaterasu was one of Haneul’s special skills that he reserved only for very difficult opponents.

Haneul then punched the Lord Commander with his giant hands. However, the Lord Commander managed to dodge by jumping over them. The Lord Commander then walked on his arms, climbing up to him.

Haneul was really frustrated, because his enemies were not supposed to be able to walk on his body because his body was supposed to be intangible. Nevertheless, the Lord Commander used medix on the soles of his feet so he was able to bypass his so-called invincibility.

Haneul tried to slap the Lord Commander with his giant hand while he was climbing up his body. Yet, the Lord Commander was swift enough to dodge every and all of his attack.

“When you’re big like this, you’re just making yourself a bigger target.”

The Lord Commander punched Haneul in the face, pushing him to the audience seat.

Agitated, Haneul coated some medix into his hand and grabbed the Lord Commander who was currently mid air after he punched him. He then squeezed him hard.

The Lord Commander was trapped in Haneul’s hand. He could have escaped by deactivating his medix, but since Haneul was the one who activated it, the Lord Commander was stuck in his hand and could not escape. He then tried to open it by force by damaging him.

Haneul felt slashes inside of his hand, but he still didn't let it open. In fact, he squeezed him even harder. He then threw the Lord Commander with all of his might to the other side of the hall. The Lord Commander crashed into a wall and made a hole in it. Haneul’s first hit was successful.

In order to save his fyx energy, Haneul deactivated his Transflage state and returned to his normal state. He then stood on his ground, waiting for the Lord Commander.

The Lord Commander stood back up and faced against him. He smirked at him and giave Haneul a clap.

“Not bad. Let’s see how far you can go.”

The two of them had not demonstrated their fyx skills yet. They were still estimating each other’s strength and how far they should go.

The Lord Commander then dashed at Haneul for a hand-to-hand combat. The two of them exchanged blows with medix imbued. Haneul was slowly getting better at managing his medix, switching between defence and offence smoothly.

While fighting the Lord Commander, Haneul suddenly recalled his visit to the abbey this morning. He suddenly remembered that he kept failing at reaching his Divine State. In addition to the current match where the Lord Commander kept landing hits on him, Haneul suddenly felt frustrated, stressed by this whole day.

Because Haneul’s negative energy overpowered his willpower, Haneul’s medix slowly decreased. Seeing the change, the Lord Commander seized this moment to get him ahold of himself. The Lord Commander threw another punch at his face, returning him to his senses.

“Your medix is disappearing. Focus,” the Lord Commander reminded him.

Haneul got super annoyed. His patience had reached its limits.

Haneul’s eyes glowed bright yellow. He stared right into Lord Commander’s eyes, looking dead-serious. The two of them made an eye contact. Haneul then yelled at him.

“Silence!”

Haneul’s voice was so loud that it echoed throughout the entire hall. The moment the Lord Commander heard Haneul’s command, his body got all stiff and he fell to the ground, unable to move neither his body nor his mouth.

“Well, didn’t expect he would go all the way,” Yujin commented from the audience seat.

Haneul walked towards the Lord Commander who was lying stiff on the ground. He then pointed his finger towards him, a pose similar to Yujin’s attack.

The Lord Commander was frozen still on the ground, helpless as he watched Haneul about to attack him.
