For 2 Centuries, Deis Province had bestowed what was called “The World’s Blessing” to a person from 1 of the 4 Great Nations, doing so every 20 years as part of the World Alliance.

The 20-year cycles of both the “World’s Blessing” and the “Paths” were intended to maximize the power and trade of the world, its prosperity and equality.

And that 200-year Era ended when The World’s Worst Criminal stole The World’s Blessing and apparently gave it to his newborn child before his execution. That one, born from two criminals in The East State, was Akura.

At the present age of 13, it is now 6 years until it is believed that the World’s Blessing can be separated from him. East State has managed to guard itself and the village in which he was confined and protected and raised with his Aunt, Uncle, younger Cousin Ruaka, and older Cousin Sesshu.

However, Sesshu left when he turned 13 and was allowed to leave into the Military Training Program due to his skill in “The 8 Parts of Life” Alchemy.

And though it would mean seeing less of his sisterly and encouraging “Other Half”, Ruaka, Akura too desires, most of anything, to do something to free them all from confinement.

So, now that Akura has made it to the age of 13, he also desires to join the military. He hopes to one day eclipse his father’s shadow cast upon him and the closest thing to a family he has known and hopes to only use his own power to start new beginnings with people…to start from Zero.
