The Start of Their Journey

“Fuahh~ that was refreshing.” Io dries his body and wear his clothes. His nose catches a delicious scent coming from the kitchen and his stomach starts to growl. After hanging the towel and coming out from the bathroom, he walks toward the kitchen.

“Oh, you’re done taking a bath?” Alet asked him while setting up the table.

“Yeah, umm… Did you cook all this?” Io sees an omurice and some sandwich on the table.

“I did, sorry I didn’t ask permission first but I used up some of your ingredients. Please have a seat.” Alet sits on one side of the table.

“Thanks, wow, I'm really speechless right now. Can I try it?” Says Io as he grabs his spoon.

“Of course, dig in. You must be hungry for not eating almost the entire day. That lunch however, I think it didn’t count.” Alet start eating as well.

“How did you know I didn’t eat for a day?”.

“I see your dishes are still clean. That means you didn’t cook breakfast this morning. Also all your ingredients are still inside its package, untouch. Well that doesn't matter right now, let's enjoy the food.”.

Io agreed and started eating. After one spoon of omurice enters his mouth, his eyes are sparkling. Once again he can’t hide his expression on how delicious the food was. Looking at Io’s expression Alet smiles and doesn't say a word, she didn’t want to interrupt him.

“How was the food?” Asked Alet after they finished it.

“It was delicious, I had never had something like this in a year.” Io leans into the chair.

“I’m glad you like it.”.

“Give me your plate, I’ll clean it.”.

“No no. I’ll clean it, just sit down and relax. It would be kind of strange if I didn’t clean it.” Alet refuses and takes Io’s plate immediately.

Io can’t do much so he lets her clean the dishes. “What is this weird feeling again. Gosh it makes me crazy. I guess I have to confess to her now.”.

“Umm… Alet” “Umm… Io” both of them talk at the same time and they are shocked.

“You go first, Io.” Says Alet.

“No, you go first.”

“Okay, haha… Umm I’m sorry for the death of your parents. While at your house I found and read a letter on the table. I know I shouldn’t read that so I want to apologize about it.”.

“Ah so you already read that letter. Never mind, it was my fault. I left it out in the open, I should have kept it somewhere private.” Answer Io as he put his glass on the table.

“Can I ask what happened? I know I should not ask this but I really want to know what happened.” Alet asked Io nervously, she had to know what happened because she kept thinking about it.

“Well there was an accident in the Capla’s research center where my parents work in. Flyn said one of the reactor are exploded and they were there to fix it. Flyn also said there was a Capla that made up the story since he hated my parent to work there. And I think I already know why all the person in the restaurant don’t want to see a Siluma like me here.” Io look downward.

“How can he do that? Silumas are the reason why we can live in peace like this. Huff I guess not everyone is a nice person.” Alet finished washing the dishes and sat back down.

“Yeah you are right.”.

“Anyway, what do you want to say?”.

“Oh uhhh… I forgot it already haha…” Io put one of his hands behind his head.

“Oh! Is it really okay for you to stay here for a night? How about your parents? Aren’t they going to worry about you?” Asked Io.

“Oh that’s okay. I lived alone.”.

“Wh-WHAT!? But I get- you said it was your home.” Io is confused.

“Well it was my home but it’s not my real house. That was an orphanage.” Said Alet with a low voice.

“Then how did you get to the university? Did they give you permission to get there?”.

“Yes they did, since there are no fees to enter. They also said maybe I should start looking for a job and stop trying to become a warrior for this city. And I think they were right.”.

“No, you should continue to chase your dream. I can’t believe I said this but you can stay here with me if you want. I know it sounds crazy but having people around you that do not even support your dream, is not good for yourself.”.

“That is impossible, what if they know if I live with a boy and he is from a different race? It will be a disaster for them.”.

“Hehe you never know this don’t you?” Io smiles with a serious face.

“What is it? What are you planning to do?”.

“Can I ask what you should do to live outside the orphanage?”.

“Umm… they should meet with the person that is going to be their new guardian. I guess they didn’t even care about IDs, as long as you get their trust, they will give permission.”.

“All right then. I’m going to have a call, please wait a second.” Io stood up and walked to the balcony.

Flyn’s phone rings.

“Who is it?” Asked Fiona as she continued to eat.

“It was Io, wait let me answer it.”.

“Hey Flyn, could you come to my apartment again?”.

“Sure why? I’m still having dinner with Fiona near your apartment.”.

“That’s good, please hurry.”.

Several minutes later, they arrive at Io’s apartment. They once again sat together at the sofa.

“What!? You wants us to disguise as a Capla and pretend to be your parent so you can get Alet out of the orphanage.” Flyn’s voice is raised and shocked.

“Yes please, you guys are taller than me so I can pretend to be your daughter or son. We can say to them that I want to have a sister.”.

“Oh boy, our Dione is really back from the dead. Are you sure it’s okay to do this?” Fiona sounds a little worried and puts her palm on her face.

“100% just like Flyn said when we met at my house. He said we are the Silumas, we just need to shape shift.” Io sounds excited.

“Flyn!” Yelled Fiona.

“I’m sorry, okay. That is one awesome thing about being a Siluma.” Flyn answers with a little high voice.

“It’s true, but that doesn’t mean we can use it freely to do this kind of thing. Hah… why did I date someone like you.” Fiona sounds angry.

“Umm… That’s okay guys, if you don't agree with my idea we can just cancel it. At least I said my idea with you is enough.” Said Io since he didn’t want to make Fiona mad at Flyn.

“You know what, fine we will do it. Since I’m ruling this part of the city, I can help you with the paperwork. In fact I didn’t have to do any shape shift since the Capla’s that live near Light City know me. Maybe Alet never sees me since only some of the people that need certain permission from the government have ever met me before. and I know the owner of the orphanage where Alet lives.” Explains Fiona after taking a deep breath.

What Fiona said was true, after the beast’s raid, the four Silumas are leading the government. Fiona leads the Calpas, Flyn leads the Silumas, and Reine leads the Manushas. Io himself has to repeat his life since he lost his memory and shrink into a baby after receiving one of the beast’s curses.

“Flyn, you still need to shape shift anyway. Just pretends to be Io’s father. And Io, you don’t need to shape shift, you can pretend to be Flyn’s adopted daughter.” Fiona continues.

“Why should I become a girl? I don’t have any girl’s clothes.” Io tries to find a way so he doesn’t need to dress as a girl.

“I’ll let you use some of my clothes. I brought them because we want to stay at your house. And why are you trying to avoid disguising as a girl? This was your idea after all.” Said Fiona as she looked at Io and she smirks.

“Okay mam.” Io agrees and can’t even fight back.

“Now that’s my girl, listen to your mother. Hahahahaha.” Flyn can’t hold his laugh.

Before they go, Fiona makes sure that Alet is okay with Io’s crazy idea. After talking with her, she agreed.
