Partners?

   "As you all know this assignment will be a big part of your grade", said Mr. G.

  "The assignment will be done outside of school along with one partner." 

  Everyone in the class immediately looked to their friends, trying to find a partner.

  "But...", Mr G said glancing at a few of the boys in the back of the class. "Due to certain individuals I will choose your partners". 

   Toyo and Kazou made eye contact nervously,  hoping they'd be partners. Ami and Suma did the same.

   "So, your assignment will be to make a presentation, comparing you and your partners favorite places. You will both visit the places and write notes about them and then you will share information about the places with the class.", Mr G. explained.

   "Excuse me sir but what does this have to do with our education?", asked a girl named Yumi. Yumi was a kind girl, though a little snobby sometimes. She had always been nice to Kazou and Toyo. She had glasses and always wore her hair up. She was also very smart, always scoring highest on test.

   "I'm educating you on how to work on a project with others", Mr G responded. 

   "What if I don't like working with others", said a girl from the back of the class.

   Kazou didn't know this girl's name, but he knew of her. People liked to describe her as 'edgy'. She always liked to write weird poems in her notebook. And apparently she plays in a heavy metal band aswell. Kazou thought she was trouble. 

   "You'll just have to deal with it, Miwa", said Mr. G., not wanting to argue with her.

   "Miwa is her name, huh" Kazou thought.

   "Anyways, I have already chose your partners and you will each receive an email copy of the list by the end of today." Said Mr. G

   "Now remember, you will be graded on how well you work with your partner, so please cooperate with them", Mr. G stated while looking at a boy in the corner, the boy glared at Mr G. Very intensely.
