Text Chat and Progress

Finally, peace and quiet, no interference from the other side of the wall, yes, basically my bedroom and Alda's bedroom were next to each other. We could hear each other through that wall. Here it is, the book I've been waiting for ‘I Got Reincarnated as a Mob Character in a Visual Novel World’.

I lay down on the bed and opened the book, "Alright, time to look around for a few hours, a drink here and a snack here in case I get hungry, everything is ready, time to read!"

A few moments later, I read it.

"Oh my God this is boring, I remember the last scene of the last volume, the two main characters and the villain fought with each other, but it turned out to be only 4 or 5 pages, then the rest became a genre romance. Really a bad day? I'll just postpone it for now" I closed the book after that.

"What time is it?" I got out of bed and took my mobile phone to check the time.

"It's already 10pm, time passed so quickly today, I don't think I'll be doing much, I think I'll write story material before going to bed," I sat down on a chair and continued writing the story for the visual novel club project.

A few hours later, I finally finished writing 5 pages of the story, but I still didn't know if it was any good or not because I was writing sheer gibberish, I needed someone to read the story to me, but I couldn't give it to anyone else because it would ruin our visual novel project.

Suddenly my phone is ringing like crazy, I check the phone, "uh what is it, there are so many notifications this midnight, I should check it."

I opened my phone and opened Lime, "why is this chat so empty, so all the notifications about senior Takumi kicking everyone, there are only 2 people in this group."

It makes sense since this group is only for the game development club, so anyone who is no longer in the club will be kicked out of the group. It's time to send a message to Senior and ask him what he's up to.

“v4ld0 : Hey senior, how's it going?, i see you are not sleep yet” I sent the message.

Senior replied right away “takumi123 : quite normal valdo, I stayed up late again tonight because of this project, I also have to study for the exam later on”

“v4ld0 : really, i thought u not need study anymore because u have pretty good backing now”

“takumi123 : don't joke around valdo, this is serious matter, u know!”

I chuckled and it was just the two of us, but then I realised that there was one more person here.

“v4ld0 : i thought just 2 of us in this group, who is 3rd person btw?”

“ayame : i know you guys gonna talk about me, stop talking about unnecessary stuff if you use group chat, use dm”

“takumi123 : its ayame”

“v4ld0 : wohoo chill, i just want to talk”

“ayame : so how’s the story?”

“v4ld0 : uh its not bad, i just finish 5 pages writing”

“ayame : so this is the boy who arrogant this evening, he said “he is good at writing” but struggle to write, so ironic”

“v4ld0 : hey hold your horses, how about you, how’s your drawing, i guess you cant finish single illustration in single day”

Then Ayame sent her illustration drawing for the first female lead. The first female lead is wearing a beautiful white dress and a sun hat with a panoramic view of the beach behind her. This is impossible, how could she possibly complete this illustration in just one day? This is absolutely impossible, I refuse to believe it.

“v4ld0 : u call that illustration? haha it's not even better than toddler drawing”

“ayame : call it whatever you want but i will check your story later, i hope it doesnt turn out to be pervert boy trying write something”

“v4ld0 : u see later, u see”

I turn off my phone and stay up to write story, because I don't want to lose to Ayame, who is way ahead of me.

Tomorrow morning in the class

I yawned in class, I didn't get enough sleep last night, but I managed to write another 5 pages, bringing the total to 10 pages. I hope it turns out better.

"Valdo, why are you so sleepy, staying up late to finish the manga you're reading? Or are you grinding a new event in that game?"

“Nah, i just *yawn* do club project”

"Why are you so serious now? I think there is a reason, is it because of Ayame?"

“I can't, my competitive spirit wont let me to sleep peacefully after taking so many insult”

“Who insulted you? Tell me! I can't let this happened especially to my best friend” Kazuki talk while shaking my body back and forth

“Stop im going to vomit” I try to straggle from his hands.

"That's Ayame, she's really complicated, how can she finish this kind of illustration in just one day?" I took out my mobile phone and showed the illustration to Kazuki.

"I don't know what to say, this is a great illustration, it should take a few days to work on it."

"That's true, but she made this work in one day, and I saw her draw from scratch, which is almost impossible to complete in one day."

“You don’t know that Ayame actually has high art score, I told you earlier she’s model student who is perfect almost everything.”

"Wait, you say almost everything, that means she is bad in one or two subjects, tell me now!"

"Calm down, I don't know, it's just a rumour, but she's bad at writing, but she's still above average in that subject."

“What did she get in that subject?”

"This is just a rumour, I'll just say it again, she got B+ when all her scores were A or A-, she's a model student, so don't think about trying to beat her".

After that, the class starts like every day. I guess I can't help wanting to beat her, but I can't even be on her level, not even close. I just try, this time I will beat her, I will!
