Chapter 8:

Issue #4: Chapter 7

Pagis

But before I started searching for those spices, I immediately searched for the matches and the candle to light up the dark room. My eyes searched everywhere while the lycans banged on the door and window.

I finally found them sitting at the corner of the wooden table, despite the lycans' shadows trying to darken the room a bit. Ignoring the loud banging on the door, I dashed towards those items and quickly lightened the room, turning my fearful head back and forth.

I saw nothing but a lot of books and papers stacked all over the tables. Dust and cobwebs were everywhere, and the cauldron was rusty near the fireplace. There was no second floor on this house. It was such a messy room indeed.

The fresh air entered my nose and the only thing I heard was the lycans' roar and the banging on the window and the door. The moment I looked back, I gasped when I saw the door was nearly bent backwards a bit and several wooden pieces were lying on the floor. I didn't even bother caring about the window, because it was strong enough to withstand such a blow.

I turned back around and swallowed my saliva with my serious face, as I now began to search for the spices. I searched everywhere in the room as fast as I could, yet I found no spices in the room so far.

Hearing the door kept banging more often than ever before, my mind kept hounding me to keep searching for them. But I still failed to find them, no matter how many times I tried.

With the big bang echoing through the room, I quickly turned my head to its direction and quietly gasped with my twitchy eyes and opened my mouth. There was a big hole in the middle of the door and the door was three quarters bent. And some of the moonlight emitted through it. It was about to break open at any time, which made me swallow my spit.

Okay, Mara. Screw those spices. We need to get the hell out of here.

I quickly studied my surroundings and found nothing so far. I wondered how I was supposed to get out of here.

When the lycans continued to bang on the door, I continued my search for the exit until my eyes spotted a rectangular shaped door on the wall.

Thinking I finally found an exit, I dashed towards it and tried to move the big box out of the way. Feeling too heavy for me to move, I pushed it out of the way and was able to touch the door, rubbing all over it with a smile for a little while.

I looked back and saw the door was getting ready to burst open in less than thirty seconds. I returned to the secret door and gave it a nod with a glare, before I opened it and exited out of this damn house in general.

After entering the secret door, I closed it behind me and scanned my eyes around the environment. I saw nothing but the stony halls and wondered where the passage would take me.

Silence echoed around me and the fresh air spreaded around. I shivered a bit and swallowed my spit, taking a deep breath.

When the sound of the door finally burst open, I quietly gasped and turned to the door with a pant with my mouth open. The lycan's growls echoed through the secret passage.

I reminded myself to get going and I dashed straight ahead when the lycans sniffed the air. Their immediate growls resurfaced the area, but I ignored it and kept going. I couldn't afford to be distracted whatsoever.

But the thought of them killing me to take me to the witch had just made my heart pound on my chest harder and faster from fear. Sweat was spreading all over my body.

Nothing terrified me more than the lycans banging on the door. I didn't want to look back now and kept going, yet I wondered when it reached the end of the passage.

As soon as I turned left, I saw another door which made me sighed out of relief for a while, grinning at it. Then the door burst open and the lycans growled and roared even more than ever before.

I pushed myself to head for the door quickly and I heard footsteps chased after me, despite being a bit far away from me. Frowning at the door, I hurried to it and opened it just in time.

Once I shut the door behind me, I scanned my surroundings, only to find myself in a cellar room. It was full of nothing but barrels everywhere.

The room was quiet and the smell of alcohol was everywhere. I believed I might be in the cellar, and I desperately needed to get to that fountain.

With the growls echoing behind me though, that was when I snapped myself out of it and searched for the way to block the door behind me, before the lycans burst into the door as well. Luckily my eyes spotted a couple of barrels standing near the door behind me, making me smile.

Perfect!

I ran towards the barrel and pushed it before they violently banged on the door. Although it was a bit heavy to push, I still managed to push it without a single struggle.

Once the barrel stood in front of the door though, the lycans banged on the door and made me jump and gasped. I walked backwards and watched with my hand standing in front of my mouth.

The longer I watched, the more the alcohol spilled onto and spreaded all over the floor. Realizing that I needed to get going, I quickly turned around and ran forward, hoping there would be no werewolves present there. I looked back and forth as I kept running with my breasts jiggling wildly out of control.

I had my eyes wander around to see if there were any monsters around. I saw nothing so far and looked back and forth with my fearful face, panting with my mouth open.

I looked for anything useful for me to stun the lycans since they were about to burst open that barrel any time soon. I saw none so far until my ears caught some squeaking noise around me.

Huh?! Widening my eyes, I scanned for where that noise came from. That sound repeated itself while I searched panicky. Was that a rat?!

I moved my candle around for a brief while until my eyes spotted something that shocked me. Gasping, I broadened my eyes and covered my mouth with my hand, stopping myself from moving any further.

There were three huge rats standing near one another, glaring and hissing at me with their fangs out, baring their sharp teeth. As they were about to chase after me, the sound of the barrel breaking down was louder so loud it echoed the entire room.

After looking back, I returned my attention to the rats and tiptoed my way around them. Unfortunately for me, their ears had caught my footsteps and hissed at me. With the lycans' growls and footsteps echoing behind me, that was when it was time for me to run.

Although I ran my way towards the exit in search of it, the rats began to chase after me. I looked back and forth a couple times to watch the rats caught up to me back and forth, and they were just as fast as those lycans were. Maybe even faster than they were. Who knows?

I took a look around for anything to stun the rats and the werewolves from advancing any further. The lycans' footsteps were echoing louder and getting closer and they were halfway towards me. I was desperate to find anything useful against my enemies.

C'mon, c'mon, c'mon! There has to be something useful here somewhere. There has to be.

I struggled to find anything in sight, until I finally spotted two barrels halfway towards the door. Although I wondered where that door would lead me, I didn't have time to think since those rats were about to catch up to me.

Once I made it to the barrel, I quickly pushed it down at them and smirked at them, hoping they would think twice about attacking me. The rats widened their eyes when they saw a barrel charging its way towards them. They ran to either side to avoid the barrel and it managed to charge against one of the lycans' swinging claw to the other side.

After seeing it roared at me and dashed towards me, I gasped and shivered with my hand standing in front of my mouth, taking a couple steps backwards. The moment I saw the lycans rush their way towards me with their claws out, that was when I needed to run now before I got killed in the process.
