Chapter 144:

Chapter 131

Transmigrated Into a Noble's Beaten Son

Naell and Owly's travel to Taglagas was now ready to commence at any day, yet before they could leave, Fharom held a small gathering at their home. There they took the time to bond with friends and family.

Given the circumstances, the duo had even spent their last night in Lily's room explaining to her more bits of their not-so-distant journey.

Naell was really proud of Lily, as although it could be seen on her face that she was really adamant about letting them go, she supported them anyway.

Remaining cheerful, Lily even alleviated some of Owly's woes that night. Her encouraging words somehow abled him to look forward to their journey,

"You're not useless, you're Owly! The greatest magic owl and me and brother's best friend!"

As their conversation came to an end, Lily then raised her palm and closed her eyes in deep concentration.

Simultaneously, Naell opened his palm in front of them. Suddenly, both white and pale yellow mana began entering Owly's core.

The gesture made the young owl look at Naell and Lily for answers. Yet both only smiled at their dear friend saying,

"It's a secret!"

And so, the blissful night filled with happy memories came to an end. The trio were certain it was a time they would look back on.

By the time the very next morning arrived, they departed with Naell's family, the Sunheart couple, and Captain Estra bidding them farewell.

They were escorted by a couple of knights led by their trusted duo: Lieutenants Dikolam, and Iwan. Although the travel took longer than usual as the security in traveling between villages was tighter, none actually complained.

Especially at such a time when the Pieces of Lucille were actively opposing the allied countries. Naell and Owly, who knew of the reason, were more cautious as well. Nevertheless, after days of traveling, they finally arrived at Tagalagas.

The first thing they did upon arrival was rush to get Naell's school clearance. This surprised many including Esuela dio sa de teachers, students, and the adventurer's guild alike.

Yet no one did really bother him as most students were still on vacation, likewise most teachers. Even Earlteria Gem, the great headmaster, was nowhere to be found.

"Since I'm still recuperating, I'm stuck at school while Mony is doing all the fun stuff." Said Suna, a teacher of Aura, and the one who recently sustained an injury during an ambush in the Republic of Summer.

Naell was relieved to see him, regardless if he didn't know him all that well. Suna was afterall one of his comrades during the pieces of Lucille's invasion in EDSD.

Also, even though it was not often, in the past they would sometimes converse when meeting in the Adventurer's guild.

"I may not be your teacher but we are comrades in arms– so be careful, both of you!" Added Suna to which Naell replied with a smile, and Owly with a HOOT as they parted ways.

As for Princess Utua Taglagas and her company, they knew to some extent what had happened as Lesjon shared it with them. Of course, with Naell's approval which they had discussed beforehand.

Therefore, instead of barraging Naell with questions, they just hang out with him and Owly as they wished them good luck.

"I wish I could join you Naell, Owly but we have a task as well." Said Casper. Likewise, Naell felt the same as they were all actively participating in the war.

However even with their busy schedule, they and the protagonist party found time to get acquainted and hang out with Klata in Taglagas. Unfortunately, Lesjon and Wilfred were already away, with the young master of Star accompanying his grandfather together with the elf.

On the other hand, Odino Thorton, the "guild master of all guilds" was quite busy, and also on another continent, only Loknar, and Tahina fretted about Naell's decision.

Nonetheless, they knew of the duo's capabilities, and to be frank, they were quite relieved to know the duo was participating in a war that could potentially peak at any moment.

Especially now that the pieces of Lucile became more active alongside the sudden spike of dungeons spawning.

"Just be careful and please do accept this updated card, it might bring you more fame which I know you don't like," Said Loknar.

Upon his words Tahina, who was rather close to Naell placed it in his hand as she then added, "But with this, you can have more benefits and private quarters in every adventurer's guild, and its acquainted places."

With that, Naell Beryldot became an A-rank adventurer.

After spending some leisure time in the Beryldot's manor in Taglagas with Lebrut, the duo's lieutenant, and even little Anna and his grandfather, Naell and Owly finally left the capital.

While the two lieutenants would stay further at Taglagas, Naell and Owly were already on a carriage headed to another kingdom.

They were with members of the mercantile association under Talus, a friend of Naell's father and someone whom they had saved a year ago.

Although he was not with them, people under Talus who traveled the southern continent were accompanying Naell and Owly.

Because of that, the road going from the Autumn Kingdom was comfortable aside from Naell's motion sickness and venturing monsters along the road.

"As expected from an A-rank." Said one of the adventurers.

Since the duo (Naell and Owly) was with the merchants, any threats and monsters that came up were easily swept away with just their magic. Hence the merchants, and other adventurers escorting them were grateful as the travel had no issues thus far.

Not to mention, during a couple of nights where inns weren't readily available on the road, Naell's temporary shelter that he made with his magic became so famous that the merchants and adventurers alike asked if they could be made one.

With their pleas, Naell willingly conjured the igloo shaped structure for everyone. Afterall, it was made of straightforward magic that he too would benefit from. Throughout their stay in the shelter, negotiation took place and soon the design was even sold to the merchants.

Little did Naell know that within a couple of weeks from that time it would soon become popular throughout the whole continent, specifically among merchants, adventurers, and other wandering professions.
