Chapter 11:

Ignored by Yandere

The Cute Side of My Yandere Girlfriend

Summer vacation is a time that every student looks forward to. Because at this time they finally have plenty of time to do all the things they want to do.

However, if you keep doing the same thing for days or even weeks, you'll get bored eventually.

Just like me right now. I am currently lying on the floor, observing the ceiling of my room with my legs raised on the bed.

Two weeks had passed since summer vacation began, and during those two weeks, I hadn't seen or heard from my soulmate.

Our date at the amusement park was the last time we met. After that, Tsukinaga-san was always busy and hard to contact. Even now I'm waiting for a reply to my message that has gone unanswered since this morning.

She said that she would be busy helping her mother. But when I asked her what she doing, she always dodged my questions.

"Uuu... I wanna meet her. I wanna see her face, wanna hear her voice, wanna hold hands with her, wanna hug her, wanna ki-kiss-"

Whack!

"Urgh... It hurts."

While I was whining and rolling around on the floor, I bumped into a table and an encyclopedia fell right on my face. Perhaps this was heaven's punishment for imagining indecent things about such an angel like Tsukinaga-san.

*Growl*

"What time is it?"

I got up to look for my phone.

"Yikes! It's almost noon, and I still haven't had breakfast."

I didn't realize it because I turned on my computer and played games right after waking up. It was only when I felt bored and sick of my routine that that embarrassing scene happened.

"Let's grab something to eat I guess?"

I left my room and headed downstairs. But when I passed by my sister's room, the door opened.

"Are you heading out?"

I asked since my sister was all dressed up.

"Uh-huh."

"Where to?"

"Campus."

My sister picked up her bag and closed her room door. We continued chatting as we walked downstairs.

"Don't university students get summer vacation like high schoolers?"

"I don't go to lectures, just club activity."

"Oh yeah, you do have one. What is it again?"

"A sort of astronomy club."

"So you're going stargazing tonight?"

"No, it's next week. That's right, you reminded me. Do you have any plans for next Monday?"

I thought about my sister's question for a moment. I can't say for sure. I don't have any plans for now, but I intentionally leave my schedule open in case Tsukinaga-san finally has time.

"I dunno. What's wrong?"

I asked just in case.

"My club has plans to go to a stargazing site next week. We will go for three days and two nights by car, and there is still room for two to four people. Since this trip is included in the package, it would be a waste not to make the most of it. That's why we are looking for people who want to join us."

That's an interesting invitation. I had never tried stargazing before, but it seemed it would be a fun experience.

"How much do I need to spend to join?"

"Don't worry. We've paid for everything. You just need to prepare your equipment."

Well, it's getting more interesting.

"What do I need to prepare?"

"I'll send you the list later. I have to leave now."

I watched my sister when she put on her shoes at the front door and then stood up to leave. But before that, she faced me to confirm my answer.

"So, what do you say?"

I thought about it one more time. I wanted to reply, "I'll think about it", but was afraid that the remaining slots would be filled first.

"Is it fine if I brought along my friends?"

This time it was my sister's turn to fall silent.

"How many of them?"

"One or two at most."

"I will confirm it with my friends first and let you know if they allow it."

My sister gave a safe answer. If it is an acquaintance of yours, then you can still get them to behave. But if it's an acquaintance of your acquaintance, you can't do much about them.

If they do something that makes the other members uncomfortable, it's you who invited them too who will feel bad.

"Well then. I'm leaving."

"Take care."

I waved to my sister till the door in front of me closed. I walked back into the house to do what was delayed.

"Oh! You're awake already?"

"Uhn."

I was greeted by my mum who was folding clothes as soon as I opened the door to the living room.

"Has your sister left?"

"Just now."

"I see."

I walked to the fridge while my mum continued her work. As I poured the milk I had taken from the fridge into a glass, I joined my mum in watching the television.

It was a variety show with a young actress being the main star of the show. If I'm not mistaken, she's been popular lately because I've been seeing her face everywhere. Apart from her good looks, she is also a multi-talented celebrity.

But still, no one can beat Tsukinaga-san. She is the cutest and the best in the world.

When I was too engrossed in the television show, I heard my mobile phone ring. It was a message from my sister about what to pack if I wanted to go stargazing.

I still haven't fully decided to go, but seeing Tsukinaga-san hasn't replied to my message until now makes me sad. Even I would feel lonely if I got ignored continuously like this.

Should I go? But what if Tsukinaga-san suddenly has free time? Then our schedules won't match again. But there is no guarantee that she will be free next week either.

Hm... It's a difficult choice.

Maybe I'll just prepare the items so that if I do come along at the last minute, I won't have any trouble.

I looked at the list of items that my sister had sent once again. This time I give it a look seriously. I sorted each checklist and remembered where I put those things.

Ah! I don't have hiking boots.

I realized there were some things I didn't have. But there's one in particular that I think is quite important.

I sent a message to my sister to ask if climbing shoes were really needed. Then she said that any shoes are fine as long as they are comfortable to wear and can be used for difficult terrain because we will be hiking a bit later.

"I don't have any then."

I thought about it for a moment but realized that there is no other choice but to buy a new one.

My gaze shifted from my phone to my mum who was still folding clothes while watching television.

I walked over to her and start massaging her shoulders.

"Does it feel good?"

"Engh... A bit lower."

I continued to massage her as requested. My mother's hands stop folding clothes as she closed her eyes enjoying my massage. I extended the area I massaged from just her shoulders to every inch of her arms.

After her stiff muscles began to ease, my mother opened her eyes.

"So, how many do you need?"

Without me saying my mom already knew what I was up to. Maybe it's because I only do something praiseworthy when I wanted something.

But don't get me wrong. I always do what she e tells me to do. But for me, doing things without being told only happens when I have ulterior motives.

Thinking about it, am I an ungrateful kid? Maybe I'll do my housework without being told to, once in a while.

"I don't know how much it costs. I'll ask nee-san first."

"What do you want to do anyway."

"Nee-san invited me to go stargazing with her club next week. But I don't have hiking shoes so I intended to buy one."

"Ah... If I'm not mistaken, your sister mentioned it before."

"So that's how it is."

"All right. Just let me know how much you need later."

"Thank you, Mum! Love you!"

I hugged her tightly and she responded by touching my hand.

"I'll go change first."

"Have you eaten?"

"Oh right! I forgot about it."

I was so distracted that I forgot about my roaring stomach.

After sending a message to my sister, I went upstairs to change my clothes and went back downstairs to eat breakfast, at lunchtime, before saying goodbye to my mom.
