Summer Storm Part 4 : Summer Memories

After Fujimiya senpai’s surprise birthday last night, today will be the last day Happy Summer Restaurant operates. We give our all for the last day. At the end of the day, the sale for today was quite good. Kazuha-san are giving us pay after five days working. The amount is also agreeable.

“Everyone, thank you for helping me this week. Good work everyone!”

“Good work too neesan!”

“So, to celebrate , let’s party!”

“Yeah!!!!!”

I don’t know why. Somehow this scene feels familiar to me. I hope nothing similar happens to me after this.

It’s already morning. My head feels heavy. How many cans of beer did I drink last night? Just to make sure that the same thing did not happen again, I looked to my right and left side. Thankfully, there was no one next to me. Then, feel something above my head and below my feet. This is weird. Why are there two more people in this room?

“Is it already morning? Wake up Minami-san.”

“It’s already morning? I feel like I still want to sleep again, Eri senpai.”

“Me too. I don’t know how many cans of beers I drunk last night. Good morning Arima-kun. Wait! Arima-kun?! What are you doing here?!”

“Youta, you really should explain yourself now.”

“Wait, Minami, Eri senpai. I don’t know how I can I sleep here.”

“Minami, both of us need to go pharmacy after this. We need to buy ‘that’ to confirm if anything happens last night.”

“Stop it both of you! Look, I still wearing my pant now!”

“Why all of you really noisy this morning?”

“Akemi, why are you just wearing your panty now?”

“I felt hot last night. That’s why I take off my pant- Wait why Arima-kun here?”

“I don’t know why I am here.”

“Knock-knock!!

“Who is knocking?”

“Eri! Did you know where is Arima? I want to call him, but his smartphone is in our room.”

“What should we do now, Eri?”

“I think I will die if I were found sleep here last night.”

“Kenji, I think I saw Arima-kun at the beach this morning! You should find him there.”

“Alright Eri!”

“Thank you Fujimiya senpai.”

“I think you should go out now, Youta before Takeda senpai know.”

“Right, I should go out now.”

Creak!

“Why door suddenly open, Eri senpai?”

“Good morning! How is your night, Arima-kun?

“How do you know I sleep here, Kazuha-san?”

“Because I the person who bring you here, Arima-kun.”

“What are in your mind neesan?! If anything, happen, what will you do?”

“What will happen, Eri?” Kazuha-san said with smirk.

“I will get out first. Sorry for inconvenience.”

As I step out from that room, Takeda senpai is in front of me. I think I will really die today. Especially after I slept with his girlfriend.

“What are you doing in that room , Arima? I tried to find you at beach, but you are not there. I think I need to teach you a bit of lesson on how no to disturb people’s girlfriend.”

“Wait, Takeda senpai! All of this has a reason. So please let down your hand. I think you will punch me after this. Sorry senpai!!”

“Thank you for everything neesan! We will not forget this experience.”

“You are welcome. Arima-kun, why your face look so pale?”

“You really asking me that? I think I will have trauma after this.”

“That is youth, boy.”

“I think we should start moving now. Please send my regard to niisan.”

“I will do that.”

“Okay, goodbye neesan!”

“Goodbye Kazuha-san!!!!”

“Goodbye everyone!”

All of us got in the car. Takeda senpai drives the car. I sit in the passenger seat. The other girls sit at the back. On the way back to Tokyo, Saito senpai started talking.

“Guys, do you want to go the summer festival that will be hold next week?”

“I think it’s good idea, Akemi,” said Fujimiya senpai.

“Arima-kun and Minami-chan? Do you want to go there? I think this is first time you go there.”

“Sure, Saito senpai!”

“I would like to go there, Akemi senpai! But I think I should buy a new yukata. I forgot to bring mine from my house at Kyoto.”

“Do you want to use mine? I have another pair at my house.”

“Really, Akemi senpai? Where is your house? I will go there to take the yukata,”

“My house is…. Wait, I will bring it to you during the day we go to summer festival. We can change our clothe at toilet at university.”

“Alright then.”

I think Saito senpai don’t want Minami to know where she lives. That’s why she said she will bring the cloth herself.

“How is my yukata, Youta?”

“You look so pretty, Minami.”

“Thank you!”

Today is the day the theatre club goes to the summer festival. We arrive here around seven o clock in the evening and many people are already here.

“Where is Akemi?”

“Akemi senpai is still changing her clothes, Eri senpai.”

“Okay. So, we just waiting for Kenji now.”

“Sorry! There is traffic jam on my way here.”

“Did I say you should come here early Kenji?”

“I suddenly have stomachache, that’s why I can’t come early.”

“Guys! Sorry for the wait.”

“There’s you Akemi! You look so pretty!”

“Yeah! I think Akemi senpai is prettier than me!”

“What are you talking about, Minami-chan?”

“You can try ask Arima-kun, Akemi?”

“Why me?”

“How do I look Arima-kun?”

“Senpai look pretty to me.”

“Why both of your face turns red?”

“There is nothing Eri! Let’s go right now!”

“Yes!!!!”

“Wait! Wait! Wait!”

“Sakura sensei, what are you doing here?” asked Saito senpai.

“Don’t you think you are bit harsh to me? As your advisor, you should at least invite me to come here. I don’t know that last week that you all went to Shizuoka.”

“Sorry for that sensei. But we did message sensei before we went to Shizuoka,” said Fujimiya senpai.

“Really? Right, I did not read the message that you sent.”

“Look! Sensei is at fault for not read the message that I sent.”

“Sorry! So, can we have fun today?”

“If that sensei wants. Let’s go!”

We are walking from stall to another stall. We try playing many games such as goldfish catching with a paper scoop, ring tossing and shooting at targets. For goldfish catching with a paper scoop, all of us tried but no one got prize. But, on shooting at targets, only Takeda senpai got the prize which is teddy bear. He tries to get it for Fujimiya senpai. Saito senpai did not stop trying shooting at target but I manage to stop her before she will use up all her money.

“Youta!”

“Hiroshi? You are also here!”

“How your summer, Youta?”

“My summer is quite fun. How about yours?”

“I quite enjoy my summer. I forgot to introduce someone. She is my sister, Hirota Hina. She is using a wheelchair now because she was involved in an accident two weeks ago that caused a bone on her feet. That’s why I always tell to be careful when using stair, neesan.”

“That is not my fault. Who put stair there?”

“Neesan, you become ridiculous now. How should we go down without stair?”

“I don’t know. Is they are your friend, Hiroshi?”

“Yes, two of them is my classmate.”

“Nice to meet you, my name is Arima Youta.”

“Nice to meet you, my name is Minato Minami. By the way, these people are my club members.”

“Hello, my name is Saito Akemi. These two people are Fujimiya Eri and Takeda Kenji. The person who is still playing shooting is our advisor. Her name is Sakura sensei.”

“It looks so fun. Can we exchange phone numbers?”

“Of course, Hirota-san! said Saito senpai.

“You can just call me Hina. I think our age is similar. I just one year older than my brother here.”

“Really? But I don’t think I have see you at university before,” ask Fujimiya senpai.

“I just don’t enter university. That’s why you don’t see me there.”

“Hiroshi, do you want to join us to go see firework after this?”

“Sure, Youta! Neesan, lets join them!”

“lts been long time I don’t go see fireworks. Let’s go!’

We then go to the place where we can see fireworks clearly. After we found a nice place, all of us gathered there and waited for the fireworks performance to start. A few seconds later, we can see a few fireworks shot into the sky. It looks so dazzling. The people who come here enjoy the fireworks performance. Before I was afraid that I would not create any memorable moments during summer and how it ends. Now, I can say this is one of the unforgettable moments in my life as I learned many things. I did not realize that someone was holding my hand.

“Saito senpai, why are you holding my hand?”

“Can I borrow your hand just for this moment only?”

I decided to let Saito senpai hold my hand at that moment. We continued to enjoy the fireworks until the end. I will remember this moment.
