I want peace

Why do birds need to fly? Why can’t they just walk? Why is that cat looking at me? I think that cats are cute. I can’t think straight anymore. I want to forget what happen today. I ride the bus and after I arrive at my home, I go to bed to sleep. When I just want to close my eyes, someone is knocking my door.

Knock-knock!!

“Arima-kun! Are you there? I need to talk to you.”

I feel lazy to open the door. Can Saito senpai just go back to her home? Then my phone rang. Saito senpai is calling me.

“Hello, Arima-kun!”

“Hello, Saito senpai. Is there anything that you need from me?”

“ Can you open the door? I have bought ice cream for us!”

“Okay. Goodbye.”

“Wait, please hear me out, Arima-kun!”

“What is it, senpai? I want to sleep right now.”

“Just open the door. I want to talk to you about something important.”

“Alright. Please wait for a while.”

I hope this will become not too long. I feel tired today.

“You are welcome. You can sit at the dining table first.”

I go to the toilet to wash my face first. Then, I go to the dining table.

“So, what is it senpai want to talk to me about?”

“First of all, I would like to apologize for what happen today.”

“You don’t need to worry about that. Is that only thing that senpai want to talk about?”

“There is one more thing. Can you become my boyfriend?”

“Congratulations! Who is your boyfriend?”

“I think you still have not recovered from what happened today. I mean you, Arima Youta.”

“Really? Is his name same with me?”

“Do you playing with me, Arima-kun?”

“I still think this dream. How can senpai ask me to become her boyfriend?”

“This is reality. But not the real boyfriend. The fake one.”

“So, you want me to become fake boyfriend for senpai?”

“Yes. The reason is my grandma has seen wallpaper picture on my phone. I had to explain everything to her. I thought she understand but she remembers that I have said to her that I got a boyfriend a few months ago. She said she want to see him.”

“But senpai you can said you have broken up with Noda senpai.”

“That’s what I want to say but my grandpa said he will introduce me to his friend’s son. He said his friend’s son wants to get married. I don’t want to get married now , that’s why I said I have new boyfriend now and that person is you.”

“I should be happy right? How long I should acting as your boyfriend?”

“Until my grandma and my grandpa feel satisfied when she come here this weekend.”

“Did they will come here?”

“Yes. So, during that time we need to act like a real couple. Sorry for inconvenience, Arima-kun.”

“Don’t worry about that.”

“Alright!”

“Also, thank you for the ice cream!”

“You are welcome! I will tell you if there are any changes later.”

“Okay.”

After senpai goes back to her home, I go back to my bed. This is the dream. How can I become senpai’s boyfriend? I feel I can’t sleep anymore now. my smartphone starts ringing again. Hiroshi is calling me. Why is he calling me?

“Youta, what are you doing now?”

“Sleep.”

“Can you go to the arcade now?”

“Why?”

“I promise to you that we will play some game before, right? Today, I don’t have soccer training. Come here quickly!”

“Alright. I will go there now.”

When I arrive at the arcade, he is waiting me in front of shooting game machine.

“You have come Youta. Don’t waste time! Let’s play now!”

“Let’s go Hiroshi!”

We played at the arcade for two hours. We did not bet on anything. We just play for fun. I feel better now after what happened today. I feel all stress just gone now.

“Thank you for coming Youta. “

“Me too. I feel better now.”

“Do you mean about the video? I don’t know how you can make that expression. I can’t stop laughing when I remember that video.”

“Can you just stop talking about that? I just want to forget about that video now.”

“Okay. I think we should go back now. See you tomorrow!”

Both of us go back to our own home.

Today is the day when new members will come to the club room. When I came to the club room, I noticed all club members except new member are kneeling on the ground.

“Sorry, Arima Youta-sama!!!!”

“What are you guys doing?”

“Youta, sorry for yesterday! All of that is my fault!”

“Me too, Arima-kun. As a club president, I should not doing that kind of thing to my club member.”

“Arima-kun. Forgive me for everything that happened yesterday,” said Fujimiya senpai.

“No Eri! This happens because of me. If only I can think straight yesterday. Sorry, Arima!”

“Don’t worry about that guy. I decided to forget about that. Let’s enjoy today. Look, new members are still shocked looking at us acting weirdly.”

“Right! First, welcome to the theatre club! For a starter, I will introduce myself. My name is Saito Akemi, third year student and club president for theatre club.”

“My name is Fujimiya Eri, third year student and vice club president for theatre club.”

“My name is Takeda Kenji, third year student also and just a hardworking member of this club.”

“My name is Minato Minami, second year student. I am just normal member.”

“My name is Arima Youta, second year student and same class with Minato Minami. By the way all of us are studying in Department of Japanese Literature.

“Really?! I will introduce myself now. My name is Tamaki Nana. First year student and studying in Department of Media and Communication. I hope we can become friends! You all can call me Nana! By the way, Takeda senpai are you still single?”

“Tamaki Nana-san, Takeda Kenji is my boyfriend.”

“Really?! Okay then. But I will not give up!”

I can see Fujimiya senpai is looking at Nana sharply just now.

“My name is Sakuya Yumi. First year student and studying in Department of Media and Communication. Nice to meet you.”

“I am last right? My name is Kobayashi Masaru. First year student and studying in Department of Mechanical. The three of us are from the same high school. Can I join soccer club now?”

“I thought you will join this club Masaru?”

“You just force me to join this club, Nana.”

“I think you cannot join another club. You can change to soccer club if their club president is agree with it,” said Fujimiya senpai.

“I will think about it later,” said Masaru.

“For your information, Sakura sensei is our advisor. You can see her from time to time. Today, she is still busies with her work from yesterday. Without wasting our time, let’s start the party!”

“Let’s go!”

“Youta here is the cake from us as our apology for yesterday. Hope you can enjoy it.”

“We can share the cake together with new members. Minami, did you still have that video.”

“Don’t worry about that. I have delete it yesterday.”

“Really?! I can live peacefully now.”

“Arima senpai, I still have that video.”

“What do you mean, Sakuya-san?”

“The video from yesterday. I have recorded it. Here is the video.”

When Sakuya-san start playing the video, I feel like I start to faint.

“Akemi senpai! Youta is fainting!”

“Arima-kun!”
