Chapter 6:

10 quirks

I am the heroine

"ouch" Stella looked behind to see who was it. She saw that it was Tom. Stella thought, why he is acting so close to her, as if he knew her forever. "Haha, it's you" , Stella smiled . But after that she curiously asked. "You seem different then the rest. It feels like you know something." Tom smiled as well and told her , "hahaha, maybe I do..?" Before Stella could say anything, the other roommates came into the room. Jake was coming towards her. "Wow, you guys are already here. You guys seem close", said Jake and a weird vibe came from Jake. Tom just smiled at him. Not understanding much of what was going on, but at the same time feeling a certain sort of tension between them, Stella tried to change the conversation. "Heyy, I am not sure of what is going on with us. You guys don't even remember anything. But guys I am hungry. Let's eat okay??". Ron nodded followed by James. "Who should go shopping then?", asked James. Ron said that he is gonna cook so the rest of them should go shopping. Stella enthusiastically asked, "But, is there even a shop here?, This doesn't seem like our world so..." . Jake replied to Stella after poking her head gently. "Dummy, we are humans. So don't you think we need to eat? Why won't there be shops?".  Stella looked at him and rolling her eyes said to herself, "You were so different in our world, you were the charming prince, you are totally different here, tch. ", Stella sighed. Jake stretching his eyeballs at her confronted her what she just said as it was too low to hear. "Nothing nothing, let's get going." Stella replied.

They went to a local departmental store. James and Tom needed to buy vegetables, so they went to a nearby small stall whereas, Ramen and Chicken were to be bought by Stella and Jake so they went to another one. After walking for a while Stella felt a bit tired, she wanted to rest on the mall. "Jake, can you buy the rest of the items? I am not feeling so good." Jake who was in front of her all the time was about to shout at her for making him bear all the responsibilities. But, he stopped seeing her sweating and genuinely felt bad. He asked a minute from her and went to near the ice-cream stroll. "Two ice-cream, please".

Jake came back with two ice-cream. "Here, you will feel better. But, don't get the wrong idea. I shouldn't have helped you much , it's not that I don't remember anything about what I was before I came here, but I am pretty sure what you took away from me was my first kis-" , suddenly he stopped speaking thinking of something. She saw Stella crying. "Hey, what happened...", asked Jake. Stella wiping her tears slowly looked at him. "Please ignore what I will say right now .....So, what I meant is... though the starting was wrong, and even though I know that you lost memories of who you were in your previous life and I know that I shouldn't be crying because of this, but now I can never know if you felt it to too and...and that's why you came to LIVE and not because of God just messing with us? But at the same time I am happy too, because now, even though I can't be sure you knew me in the last or not, at least I am sure of one thing. That is, we were probably destined to meet." Jake couldn't understand anything she was saying. He was just staring at her clueless of what she is saying. But something in him , told him to hug her. Stella cried for some more minutes on his shoulders.

At night the teacher came to their rooms. James asked one question to the tall blonde hair teacher , a question that he was curious about. "Does anybody know about this magic academy? Also, why aren't we allowed to know anything?" The teacher with a serious look and a gentle smile, replied to him, "Well, you are the only ones that knows about this school. I can't say much and forgive me for that but I will tell you all what is needed to be told. Apparently, there is a certain virus that is going on the world. These virus makes people depressed and give up on their lives. They feel neglected towards life and feel that everything is their fault or God's fault. The world will be dead soon, if you 10 special people don't help. " Stella was hearing him curiously up to now and she interrupted the teacher. "You mean, our original world? Or the world that we are living in right now here??" The teacher didn't reply directly to that question, but rather he said, "Maybe both?" Stella from her life experience knew that this teacher isn't just a normal teacher. This whole thing seems to be the work of some higher power. She believed that maybe for some unavoidable reasons he isn't answering her questions directly. Stella didn't force an answer from her. The teacher kept saying, "Right now, it's not important which world but, you all have to save it. You all have different and unique 'quirks' in you...which will help you to do so."
