Chapter 68. Results

“Time to get up Ken.” Rose said as she smacked Ken on the head.

“You know Rose. I know I told you to smack me awake if I tried anything, not for you to smack me every day for an entire month to wake me up.” Ken complained as he robbed his eyes and slowly got up from the bed he spent an entire month in alone.

“I can’t believe an entire month passed by so quickly and you will be leaving tomorrow.” Rose said sadly as the pair headed for the dining hall.

Knowing it was Ken’s last day, many girls who had their eyes on him came by to confess as Rose watched with disdain.

“What a bunch of liars. All those girls only want you because you are famous and might end up rich one day. You turned them down too gently!” Rose complained as the pair walked to the beginner session’s classroom for Ken’s final day of lessons.

“I mean, I only want girls because I find them cute so I don’t see anything wrong with a girl wanting me because she thinks I can become famous and provide for her. Only reason I’m turning all those cute girls down is because I have too much on my plate already and I won’t be able to see most of those girls often enough for it to work.” Ken replied as the pair greeted the rest of the class before professor Gilliam told them to quiet down so he could start the lesson.

“As all of you know. Our guest will be leaving tomorrow and for his final day, I have asked him to join this class once again so he could explain how he was able to go from having no clue how to conjure the simplest of space magic to having the ability to teleport in a single month.” Professor Gilliam said to the entire class as the students stared at Ken with admiration.

“Thanks professor! It’s thanks to what you said that I was able to change my mindset. Instead of trying to learn space magic like I did for everything else. Your words and what I have learned previously from other professors allowed me to think outside of the box and approach it from a different perspective. Once I was able to grasp the idea and conjure space magic, the rest was rather easy since I got all the basics and concepts down.” Ken said happily to the entire class as Sylvester nodded in agreement.

After spending the entire class helping the rest of the students, offering them tips on how he was able to suddenly learn space magic without going into the details, the rest of the day was spent getting asked out by different girls while also showing up to the intermediate and advanced lessons to engage with the students one final time.

“Man, I am way too popular. Is this what those princes and nobles from the major kingdoms have to deal with their entire life? No wonder most of them get so arrogant and pompous. If I had this many girls flocking over me since birth, I probably would turn out like them as well.” Ken said casually as he headed back with Rose to Sylverster’s private lodging for one final night.

“To think you could actually learn how to teleport in just a month, your desire for sex must be something else.” Rose commented as the pair reached the elegant wooden house.

“Come on Rose. I am just that talented! But I’m still far from able to use teleport in any meaningful ways.” Ken replied as the pair greeted Sylverster after arriving at the living room.

“I have heard from my daughter that you are having trouble deciding how you could improve from this point onward.” Sylverster asked as the pair settled down in the living room.

“I want to do everything in my power to get stronger but I am not sure where else I could go compared to just staying at Dragonspire and continuing doing what I have already done.” Ken replied.

“As a fellow lizardman, I have a good relationship with Siveril. If you want a recommendation, I can send him a letter to accept you for an exchange.” Sylverster offered.

“Really? Thank you so much professor! I know you always liked me!” Ken said happily, thanking the old lizardman.

“You know damn well I don’t like you at all and only put up with you because of my daughter. But I also can’t deny the fact you are the most talented kid I have ever seen and I have lived for a long time.” Sylvester murmured before heading off to bed as Ken thanked him one final time for everything the professor had taught him in the past month.

“Good night Rose! Thank your father for me tomorrow since I won’t get to see him again before I leave.” Ken asked Rose as the pair reached his room.

“Ken. I know you have been avoiding the topic but you know how I feel about you. So I will get straight to the point. Can you have sex with something like me?” Rose asked as she entered the room with Ken and striped naked.

Looking at the naked body of the homunculus girl, Ken was able to see the full extent of what Rose had been hiding from the world. While he knew her body was put together piece by piece and had seen some of the scars, he could never imagine that her entire body is just pieces of different colored skin with different texture patched together like a Frankenstein monster.

“Sorry Rose. I don’t think I could.” Ken replied apologetically, not seeing any way he could get turned on by the body in front of him.

“You not showing that you are completely grossed out is already more than I expected. I know something like me won’t ever find love.” Rose replied as she got dressed and ready to leave.

“That’s not what you asked Rose. You asked if I would have sex with you and honestly, I just can’t see myself doing that right now but that doesn’t mean I can’t love you. I have slept with a couple girls that I didn’t have feelings for when I slept with them either because I needed something done or because I gave in to my lust. I have also loved many girls who I simply couldn’t have sex with because of that protection spell. So I guess what I am trying to say is that while I definitely enjoy sex, I don’t think loving someone necessarily means I need to have sex with them and I really do enjoy spending time with you. If you want to stay with me tonight, we can chat, snuggle and make out.” Ken said with a smile as he pulled Rose back into the room.

“You could have said that to me before I stripped naked and embarrassed myself.” Rose replied as she wiped away some tears.

“Nope. I obviously know you have feelings for me but like you said. I have been avoiding the subject because I don’t know how to approach it with the way you are. Your confession was the only reason I could say what I said so If you didn’t strip naked then I would probably have left tomorrow without giving you any closure.” Ken replied as the pair got in bed and chatted late into the night.

“Wake up Ken.” It’s almost time for you to get teleported, Rose whispered to the young man as she gave him a kiss.

“Morning Rose.” Ken replied with a yawn.

“You will be requesting to do an exchange with Siveril in Illithor, right?” Rose asked as the pair got out of bed and headed for the empty living room.

“For sure. I can’t turn down an opportunity to go train with a top ten. Even if it’s just for the opportunity to spar with him for a month, it will be a worthy trip.” Ken replied as he grabbed some fruits as a quick breakfast.

“I will ask my father to send a recommendation for me as well so I will go meet up with you in Illithor.” Rose replied as she hugged Ken, not wanting him to leave.

“And here I thought I won’t have to deal with you again until the end of year tournament.” Ken replied jokingly as Rose smacked him softly right as the young man started teleporting back to Dragonspire.

“Did you get any training done?” Alice asked before Ken could even check out his surroundings the moment he got teleported back to Dragonspire.

“Alice. Who do you think I am? Of course I got training done. Just so you know, I can now teleport!” Ken replied proudly.

“You actually learned space magic? How far can you teleport?” Cecilla asked in amazement.

“After only 5 seconds of full concentration. I can teleport a whopping 2 feet away!” Ken replied happily.

“Congratulations on being able to use space magic.” Indra said quietly.

“For real! You learned how to use teleport in only a month! I bet my dad will be shocked when I tell him.” Seraphina added happily, trying to pick up Ken as the young man dodged her attempt expertly.

“Not today Seraphina!” Ken said happily as he instead picked up Emma and spun her around.

“Are you going to be staying with us for the remainder of the school year?” Lovetta asked as the group headed for the dining hall as Ken wanted to get some more food.

“Nope. Professor Gilliam said he will be sending a recommendation for me to go do an exchange in Illithor with Siveril. So I will be staying with everyone for a month to catch up and try to improve my teleport and other things then I will be heading out to Illithor.” Ken replied as the group got settled in the dining hall.

“How were you able to learn space magic so quickly? What secrets did you learn from the hero to suddenly be able to conjure space magic?” Clare asked eagerly, wanting to see if she could learn space magic.

“Desire is the driving force for space magic! I guess Genesis must really really want me. That's why her desire allowed her to learn it in 3 days. After realizing I might have to take a different approach. I decided that I will not have sex until I can use teleport! Took a week for me to conjure some simple color distortion and I was finally able to teleport 2 days ago!” Ken answered proudly.

“So you didn’t sleep with that fake lizardman until 2 days ago?” Genesis asked in disbelief.

“I didn’t sleep together with Rose until last night.” Ken replied, without telling the girls what Rose has to deal with.

“Oh yea! Seraphina! You aren’t that special after all! There were plenty of winged lizardman in Sraederham and the wyverns they have there are super cool too!” Ken said happily as the group arrived at the dining hall for Ken to get some food.

“Really? Vincent went to Ostrium for an exchange? That’s great! I bet he will learn a lot from professor Aethelwulf and sparring with Fernard. He should have done that way before now. Glad he took my advice.” Ken said excitedly as the girls told him the daily ongoings while he was away.

“Luke and Xandrian up to anything while I was gone? How about Dimitri? I haven’t seen or heard about Dimitri in a while.” Ken asked, wanting some updates on all the thorns that had caused him trouble.

“Dimitri’s been minding his own business lately and hasn't bothered us in forever. Luke is going to be Luke. Annoying as always whenever we see him but ever since you beat him, he doesn’t come looking for trouble and just spends most of his days training and studying.” Alice replied while Ken enjoyed his food and listened to the updates.

“Xandrian hasn’t bothered me since the tournament. Hopefully he’s like Dimitri now and just leaves us alone.” Clare answered as Ken nodded in approval.

After enjoying some breakfast, the group went their own ways for their classes while Ken joined Lovetta in the training facility to work on his teleport and sparred with the wolf girl until the group gathered back together and headed into town late afternoon to enjoy a feast to celebrate Ken’s return.
