Encounter 2

I arrived earlier than the scheduled time. I was afraid that I would be late so…yeah! However, looks like I am the only one who got here. Ah! Maya is right. I am silly. Anyway, what's done is done. Let's find a place to sit. I quickly found a bench facing the gate. There were many people, mostly couples.

"Honey, you look so beautiful"

"Awe…you look beautiful too darling"

Hmm… a couple is sitting in the adjacent bench and they seem super lovey dovey.

I stood up and quickly walked toward the gate. The place where the festival was being held was a mountain. A plain located at the bottom of mountains. The place for the event is a forest, which normally looks scary, but today it was covered with fairy lights and decorations. Several stalls were installed and the gate, the sole entrance to the forest was open. Some stairs lead to the top of the mountain from which one can see the full view of the city. I heard that there is going to be a firework show.

I hurriedly moved toward the gate. Suddenly my phone began to ring.

"ah…my phone."

I tried to pick up the phone but it was too crowded. Suddenly someone bumped into me. Due to the impact, I was pushed forward.

I closed my eyes and held my breath to the fall!...but it did not hurt.

I slowly opened my eyes and it wasn't ground but someone was embracing me.

"Woah…that was close."

I raised my head and what I saw could be described in one word; beautiful. Two red orbs were staring at me.

"Umm…are you alright miss?"

"Miss…if you are alright then say something?" the boy said. He looked panicked.

<oh… yes. I was falling and someone saved me.>

The moment my mind registered this I hurriedly stepped back.

"Umm…I am sorry."

"Ha ha…no problem. But you should be careful it's dangerous to walk like that."

"Yes.."

Okay…those orbs were someone's eyes and in front of me was a black-haired youth who looked handsome. His red eyes shone maybe due to the light surrounding us. Yeah! He is handsome. No, don't get me wrong! I did not fall in love. No! Aesthetically, yes, he looked handsome.

"Miss…?"

<ah…I was staring at him and it was rude.>

"ah…I am sorry."I hurriedly withdraw my gaze.

"Thank goodness."I was nearly moved to tears.

I checked if it was damaged or not but thank goodness it was fine. The handsome youth smiled and tried to say something but…

My phone rang.

I looked toward him and he gestured me to pick up the call.

"Hello…"

"Hello! we are here!"

"Ah..alright"

"What alright? Where are you?"

"I am at the gate…"

"Okay, then come to the left side!"

"Yes.."

BEEP-BEEP

<and gone. Sigh.>

"Thank you so much for the earlier."

"No problem. You seem in a hurry."

"alright…I will be going then."

I quickly moved toward my friends. If we meet again then I will surely pay him back.

MIYAKI'S POV:

I could see the girl moving away. A moment ago I was waiting with my sister.

"That girl…." he whispered. He looked down toward his hands.

"Strange."

The moment he caught her, a strange current passed through him. It felt as if…..something akin to a fluid or perhaps energy moving. Unfortunately, it was for a moment and quickly disappeared.

"You sensed something, right."

Suddenly, a boy materialized beside him from thin air. He looked about fourteen. His silver hair and golden orbs looked quite catchy. However, no one paid attention to him as if he didn't exist.

Miyaki looked toward the boy. In this crowd, only he could see or hear this person.

"What?" he inquired.

"The energy…..you sensed it right."

"Yes…what was it?" Miyaki asked the boy looking confused.

"I am not sure…"

"Anyway….let's go."
