Chapter 2: The Confusion of a New Body
I couldn't feel anything for a couple of minutes. I was staring at a holographic screen in front of me, while laying on a bed. The screen displayed a familiar interface, one that I had seen many times before in my novel. It was the character creation menu, and my character's stats were displayed on the screen.

I couldn't make sense of it, and my mind was a blur. I tried to sit up, but my body felt heavy, and my hands were thin like sticks. I was confused as hell, and I rushed towards the mirror in the room. As I looked at my reflection, I saw a body that was thin, but healthy. My body was lagging behind, like my soul was not in sync with this new body.
As I moved around the room, my body started to get in sync with my thoughts. I saw myself in the mirror, with jet blue hair, a decent face, and a stick-like body. "Naaa, who am I fooling? I'm ugly as f\*\*\*," I thought to myself.
Wait a minute, I remembered seeing some sort of holographic window a few minutes ago. As I started to focus on it, a holographic window popped up. It was the same interface as before, displaying my character's stats.

This looked familiar, oh yeah, it was from my novel. Hol up, I am in a novel, maybe I'm the main character. As I tried to open more system windows like my main character in the novel, nothing happened. After trying for a couple of minutes, I got flustered and gave up.
While laying on the bed, I thought to myself, "Anime lied to me, they always show the main character getting overpowered after getting recreated. I'm pretty weak, Rank F and Rank limit D, I'm not even close to a main character."
I couldn't help but feel disappointed and frustrated. I was just a weak character in a novel, not the powerful main character I had imagined myself to be. My body was still adjusting to the new world, and I couldn't even access the system windows properly.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to calm myself down. I had to accept my new reality and work with what I had. Maybe, just maybe, I could find a way to improve my skills and become stronger. But for now, I was stuck with a weak body with a pretty low rank limit.
