Extras: Author Notes

Hi Everyone,

This is Samig-sensei and I would like that say that is the conclusion for Volume 1 of Love Does Not Exist in This World!

(Doubt there will even be Volume 2 haha.)

But can we get a quick round of applause in the background?

Yay!

Jokes aside.

Let's start off with a small message first.

Message:

I have to say, it has been a fun ride, being able to participate and having you people read the novel.

Special thanks to that one reader, who read and liked every chapter.

You know who you are, wish you all the best in the competition ahead.

Finally, my deepest gratitude goes to God, RadheKrishna.

Story:

As for the story, I did have other plans, but due to time constraints, I had to rush this ending. One of the few plans was to extend this story a bit longer before we reached the decisive climax of the story. For example, more couple coffee content, the weekend date with Tanaka and his girlfriend, slow build-up on middle school flashbacks and more characters. I was even thinking of adding a love rival to challenge Sato-san too in proclaimed Volume 2. Another idea was to make it a more sad story with Sato-san's background.

Issues:

I have to say, there is still a huge room for improvement, especially in transitions between the philosophical and romantic parts of the story. My intention wasn't to throw a heavy brick of philosophy but it clearly was the case. Another improvement I was thinking of was the complexity of the romantic parts, It did feel a bit simple but I aimed to make it as heartwarming as possible. The first few chapters really did act as a bottleneck for the rest of the chapters.

Well, then that's all I wanted to say.
