Chapter 32:

Reshaping Our World

Reshape in Another World

Ten years later…

Celicia and I are riding a carriage toward the city that started it all; Artevir City.

“Are we close Daddy?” A little girl with pigtails and silver hair that’s sitting next to me asked.

“Just a bit more,” I said as I patted her head.

“Moom! My butt hurts!” A little boy pulls on Celicia’s clothes.

“If you can endure it, I’ll get both of you ice cream. How does that sound?” Celicia said as she pointed her index finger upward.

“Yaaaay!” Both of them shout out.

“Are you sure it’s okay Celicia?” I look to my left, “I don’t think spoiling them this much is a good idea…”

“Well… For this once it’s fine, right?” Celicia said with a smile, “This is their first time visiting them after all…”

“You sure are forgiving huh…” I mutter.

“That’s because you’re way too hard on Yama.” Celicia pinched my left cheek.

“Owowowow!”

“Hahaha!” Yama, the little boy laughed, “You deserved that!”

“Oh, you~!”

“Okay, okay! That is enough!” Celicia claps her hands, “Look, you can see the city walls from here.” Celicia peeks out of the window that’s behind her.

“Let me see, let me see!” Thessalia, the little girl jumps onto Celicia’s thighs.

“Woaaah~!”

“Let me see too sis!” Yama climbs up on the chair.

“Woaaah! That’s so cool!”

“Hehehe…” Celicia chuckles.

“It really is nice, isn’t it?” I mutter to myself, looking at Thessalia and Yama being ecstatic.

“Yeah… It really is…”

---

Once we arrived at the city, Celicia and I decided to visit Jun first since he’s the closest one we could visit.

All of us stepped into Jun’s tea shop, the nice fragrant bringing in past memories.

“Welcome!” Jun said.

“Yo Jun!” I raise my right hand.

“Hm?” Jun tilts his head. It took him a second before his eyes dilated, “Wait… could you be Yuuma?”

“Yeah, that’s right.” I step forward.

“Yuuma?!” Jun steps out of his counter and walks towards me, “It’s been a while! How are you doing?” Jun said as we exchanged hugs.

“Doing pretty good man, as you can see,” I move over to the right a bit to let him see my family.

“You’re… a father now?” Jun points toward the two kids.

“Hello Jun,” Celicia said while she bowed slightly, “Come on kids, go say hi.”

“Nice to meet you Mr. Jun!” Thessalia bows deeply.

“H-Hi…” Yama said whilst avoiding his gaze.

“Nice to meet you too!” Jun squats down to meet them at eye level.

After that entire ordeal had passed, I told my stories about what happened these past ten years.

Jun was also one of the people we told him about our relationship. Even when we were talking, he was still surprised that Celicia and I managed to hold out for this long.

After we got married and had kids, we decided to move to Honeymaw to fulfill Celicia’s dream of exploring the world. It may only be one city, but it’s the first step we decided to take.

In Honeymaw, we were able to build a restaurant that was made to sell Japanese dishes, and I had to train many of my workers due to how rare these dishes were made.

It might be a bit weird since Honeymaw is quite similar to Paris, so thematically-wise, it’s pretty inconsistent. However, having an entirely different type of food in a city you wouldn’t know would have could be an interesting concept, so we decided to go with it. Luckily enough, it managed to be a financial success, but we ended up being super busy after that, so we barely had any time to make plans to explore the world.

“A lot has happened huh…” Jun mutters. He then continues, “Celicia is one thing, but man you’ve changed a lot.”

“…? What do you mean?”

Physically-wise, I’m still the same shape and height from ten years ago, so not much has really changed.

“How should I say it…” Jun puts his hand on his chin, “I guess it’s the aura you exude?”

“Aura?”

“It feels like you’ve become… more confident…?” Jun crosses his arms.

“Do I?”

I guess he kind of has a point?

“Anyway, didn’t you say you got somewhere to go?” Jun uncrossed his arms.

“Oh right!” I replied as I looked at my pocket watch.

“Time really went fast huh…” Jun rests his head on his hand, looking into the distance.

“It really does…” I replied.

“Hey Yuuma!” Celicia shouted from the back, bringing three tea containers onto the desk.

“Are you done with your talk?” Celicia asks.

“Yeah, we just finished,” I got off the chair, “We should not keep them waiting…”

“Well, it’s going to be a surprise anyway, so I don’t think they’ll be waiting for anything…” Celicia chuckles.

“Hehe, you’re right.”

---

Celicia guided us through the forest to get to her home, followed by my holding onto Yama’s hand, with Yama holding Thessalia’s

“…”

This is kind of nostalgic…

I remember being so anxious about her when she first led me through this forest, but now it’s kind of funny when I think about it.

“…Hang tight kids!” I yelled out as we got close to the portal.

“Yeah!” Yama nods, “Thessa, don’t let go of my hand!”

“O-Okay!”

Eventually, we reached the portal, in which we quickly got sucked into Celicia’s hometown.

We walked for a bit until we reached our old home, where everything began for us.

In the distance, a woman with her bag over her shoulder walks out, as the man with long hair at the back is packing up the place.

“…”

The woman made eye contact with us, her eyes dilated with her body completely frozen still.

“…Celicia?” The woman mutters.

“Hey mom…” Celicia said.

The old man noticed the two of us, so he stopped his activity and headed towards us.

“Hey Clairene, is there something wro—”

“Hey dad…”

“…”

“Celicia.” I hold onto Celicia’s left hand, keeping a firm grip on it.

“…Yeah.” Celicia gave a smile.

Both of us look at Ms. Clairene and the old man’s eyes. Ms. Clairene’s eyes are getting soaked, whilst the old man’s is still frozen.

Despite the fact that years have passed, these two people barely changed from years ago.

When I arrived in this world, there was tons of unfinished business back in my home world that I abandoned.

I took everything they had done for me for granted, and I only learned to appreciate them the moment things were over…

But now,

I will do everything I can to preserve my loved ones in this world.

““We’re home!””
