Settling in new the new place

Currently I am talking to Honey Bear den's Mama bear.

She is a big woman about 6 feet and its not only her height that's big.

The white shirt she is wearing is suffocating in pressure.

She is using some some new terminology about bells.

Although yesterday I did hear some big bell ringing some times.

Maybe there are multiple bell towers in this town that ring at a fixed interval and convey time to the residents here.

But there are clocks in this world as I saw in the tool shop.

The gradient on them was divided into 12 so I am sure that 24hour system with AM and PM is followed here.

But maybe clocks are too expensive for people so they manage their time through bells.

Anyway, I will count the bells tomorrow.

Today I will just come at a general dinner time.

I also need to know if this world follows 7 days week system and the name of days too.

I gave Martha san 2 silver coins and she returned me the change. Then she shouted in a loud voice to call someone.

"Milly.... "

Then from the back came running sound and a girl, little shorter than me came running.

"Dai Mama" (Yes Mama)

She was a cute beautiful girl with brown hair, big brown eyes and cute round ears on top of her head just like her mother.

Milli chan has an innocent face but something tells me that she is a mischievous child.

Martha san then told Milli to guide me to my room and tell me about the facilities.

She gestured me to follow. I bowed to Martha san and followed Milli chan.

She went to the side where stairs were going towards upper floors.

This inn is three story. The ground floor is reception and restaurant and maybe upper floors are rooms.

Milli chan hopped and climbed the stairs very fast.

Milli chan reached first floor and truned around and smile at me innocently.

But there was some mischievousness in her eyes.

She then guided me to a room at the end of corridor. She opened the lock with a key.

The inside was about 4 meter square area with a single bed, a chair and table.

There was also small cupboard in the corner.

The lighting was done by same light magic tool.

The light magic tool might be cheap in this world considering they are used everywhere so commonly.

I wish other magic tools were also cheap.

(So the toilet and bathroom are common type right)

(Yes we have five common toilets on this floor built at the other end....

As for bath? we have 2 wells at the back for men and women....

The women's washing area is surrounded by bamboo walls, so no peeking on customers Ok onii san)

Whaaat?. I never even thought of peaking

(yes of course Milli chan. No need to worry, this Onii san is a good Onii san.

Is there anything else?.)

(Well in winters we provide warm water in room but since its summer now there is no one who asks for that these days.

It cost 10 copper per bucket by the way if you still need it.)

I handed her 3 big copper coin, from what I got in exchange from martha san.

Seeing this Milli chan became happy and took the money.

Saying that she winked at me and left.

Well of course, she will not be ok with her cute daughter accepting money from strangers.

I entered the room, closed the door.

Thankfully there was a lock on the inside as well outside of the door this time.

I checked the bed and it was decently fluffy. It was filled with feathers I think.

Then I sat on the desk and started gathering my thoughts.

Philia san and others will be going for monster subjugation tomorrow.

Lily will be going to orphanage temporarily.

I will have to wake up early tomorrow.

Right now its noon. Since this inn doesn't serve lunch so maybe I should have some food from the restaurants that Philia san recommended.

But before that I have a very important task, which I have been putting off.

I decided to organise my item box and loot.

I did not even scan every item I got from the goblins. So let's do that first.

The coins are already out and organised.

Second is the remaining potions left after I used some of them during my fight.

One wound heal potion, half HP recovery potion and 2 green spider venom antidote.

There also 3 knives, 2 bows, 2 quivers,30 arrows, 1 iron sword and 2 iron shields, one torn leather bag pack, one leather jacket and a leather water sack.

There are also some empty potion bottles containing river water, that I emptied and kept them on the table of my room after washing them.

I had 3 leather jackets. One was destroyed in fighting goblins.

One was left with Lily so I don't know what happened to it, nor I want to take it back.

This third one is only left but is quite dirty.

I should get these weapons and armours repaired by someone.

I will not sell these because they are useful.

And also now have 2 bagpacks.

The one which I used during fighting with goblins is torn a little, but I will see if it can be repaired.

I will have to live frugally until I make sure that I can earn decently.

So the plan is to have lunch, register at adventurer guild, get the weapons and armour repaired.

Maybe ask if there was a training course for adventurers and register there and also look for library or information room.

I don't think I will have time for a quest today so, that will do.

Forming my plan, I packed the torn bag, weapons and armours in my bag.

The potions I stored in my item box.

Then I went down after locking my room.

There I saw Milli chan at the counter instead of Martha san. I talked her using telepathy.

(Hello Milli chan. Is Martha san busy.?)

(Oh Hi Onii san! Was the room to your liking?..

Mom is having lunch after feeding me...

What about you Onii san. Going out for lunch?)

(Yes. Actually do you know the way to adventurer guild Milli cahn?)

(No. it's not like that, infact I was going to register for the first time.

So do you know if there is a minimum age allowed to register and what is the process)

The minimum age to register is 12 and you have to pay 1 silver coin to register.

Also they will make your guild tag there, after checking your criminal record in the guild database.

But since Onii san enjoys peeking at lady customers, surely you will be rejected right?)
