I turned to my side. In front of me was a mirror reflecting the depressed image of myself. I turned my head to the ceiling.

It was plain white, like a clean canvas waiting to be painted. I slowly closed my eyes when I heard a slow creak coming from the door.

“Hey, it’s mom. Do you want tea, sweetie? You’ve been in there for quite a while. Do you want to talk to me?”

“No, mom. Just leave me alone.” I said as I shoved my head into the pillow.

I felt the air change as the door closed. I looked outside the window and wondered,

“How did I get here?”
