Chapter 13:

Werewolf Village

Beasted

Holding Zeev in my arms for few minutes made me realize, what I just agreed to. I willingly told him to be in a relationship with him. How will I manage it? This was an out-of-mind decision, but would I kill his joy, when he poured out his heart? Also, I felt pressure about the whole "mate for life" thing.

Right now, I could feel his warmth, his love, and his dedication. At least I should give him a chance to prove his love, but was not ready to get with him in that more physical way. Hope he will understand that. Actually, I didn't really want to get involved with anyone in the near future. But here I am hugging someone I didn't even know was a human,... or something similar to it.

My mind was at full speed working and staring at Zeeve. When he suddenly looked up at me with those beautiful eyes. I was like hypnotized and blushed. My mind went blank and I drowned in his gaze. Was this a hidden power? I loved those shades of blue and green and the midnight glow.

"This weekend, I will take you somewhere. After many years I decided to go back to my original home. I need something from there." I snapped out of his magic. "What? Are you sure, you want to go there, if you stayed away and avoided it for so long?" He nodded and snuggled his head back on my chest.

I took a sick leave, because of the bullet wound and just rested. Nobody needed to know, that something like that happened. It would be hard to explain. The week passed by in a blink. I kind of got used being around him in the meantime. Every night he was sleeping with me in my bed cuddling me. He had to be touching me; at least some part of my body, so he would be able to fall asleep. Probably he was making sure I was still with him, not leaving him alone.

Zeeve must have felt very lonely in all those years living in solitude. I could tell he was craving love and affection. He was like a small puppy, which needed to pile up with his family. I really adored this hidden cute site of him and already forgotten about that night when he jumped me. I lowered my guard again. During the day he was in his werewolf form in the forest guarding his territory and doing what he did before.

The weekend came and early in the morning, I was sitting on his back holding firmly to his fur. He ran at a supernatural speed through the woods and over the hill. I lost track of any direction. Until we reached a mountain village with people working outside.

I jumped down from his back. They quickly surrounded us and kind of glared us down. Zeev put his pants on before changing into his human form and finishing dressing. Everybody gasped. The village people must have remembered him.

One man came out with wide open arms and hugged Zeev. "I knew you would come back one day!" Instead of embracing the warm welcome, Zeev pushed him away in a gentle manner. The older man just nodded. He didn't seem to be offended at all.

Then he focused on me and he frowned. I felt like he would just eat me whole. He asked to speak with Zeeve in private, but he refused. "I know you all are concerned, because I brought a regular human into this village. But all of you know, I would be the last one, who would do that without being 100% sure." There were no words in protest.

Zeev grabbed me by my hand and led me through the village towards a big house. It looked a little run down, but the garden was well maintained. He changed his left hand into a paw and picked the lock with his claw. The door opened and it was like we would time travel.

Everything was beautiful in the best condition, just under a thick layer of dust. Nobody followed us inside, I guess without an invitation from the owner (Zeev), nobody could. He brought me upstairs into a study. There behind a painting was a safe. With the right combination, he opened it.

I couldn't believe he would still remember all those numbers. He took out a box and in it was a ring. He wanted to put it on my finger. It didn't really fit, it was too big. I guess my tiny fingers will never fit a real ring anyway. My hands are literally the size of a five-year-old. Sigh... but still he was excited about it.

"Welcome to my family! Once we have our wedding, it will be also your second home." I looked at him shocked. "What did you just say?" He giggled. "I know it might sound too early, but we have no time to spare." He bent over and placed his forehead on mine. "I waited for you already for too long."

I pushed him a little from me. "I can't just marry you out of the blue. You may have known me for a long time, but I didn't know you existed until recently. I need more time to get to know you." He looked a little bit upset, but I guess he understood.

"I know, that your kind operates like that, but for me, it was already decided long time ago. But I will accept your request and give you as much time as you wish. Just allow me to stay by your side and get closer to you, so our relationship will just bloom." I nodded and just hugged him.

We heard a commotion outside and Zeev went to investigate. A woman with red hair and eyes pushed her way through the crowd. She was swinging her arms and was stomping happily outside. She shrieked out of joy, when she saw Zeev, but froze as soon she noticed me. Instantly she turned into a werewolf and disappeared in a dust cloud.

She was THAT female werewolf from before...
