Chapter 2:

Writing a manga just to get One letter published

The Shiruka Collection

The editor looked at the current view numbers for One letter.

"Hmm, well it's decent, though nothing special."

"It's still better than zero," Shiruka chimed.

"So what are you going to write next?" the editor asked.

"Well, I can't really think of anything, maybe I'll write a romcom about a guy who tutors some girls and falls in love with them."

"That concept's been done a few times already, how would you shake it up?"

"Why don't you read it and see," Shiruka smiled as he handed over a stack of papers to his editor.

"Hold up, this is a whole damn manga! Shiragiku-san, you can draw?"

"Well, not very well. I also enjoy writing more than drawing," Shiruka chuckled.

"Don't sell yourself short, I think this art is amazing!"

"Alright, since you insist, I'll take your word for it. So what about my story?"

"Six chances at Love? Hmm, the girls ARE cute."

1 year later...

"Say editor, now that my manga's now one of the best selling romcoms of all time, how about we offer a physical copy of the original two-word manuscript for One letter with the final volume release?" Shiruka asked.

"Was this the whole damn reason you wrote that manga? Just so you could get your two-word novel published?" the editor groaned.

"Yes, bet you didn't expect that did you?"

"Well, I guess since it's being packaged with a volume, and the fact that you're a big shot now means it's alright," the editor grumbled as he wiped his brow.

Just as promised, One letter received a print copy. The free novel version of the revised One letter story was renamed, One letter: Arguing with the editor and also received a print copy.

Shiruka had gotten exactly what he wanted just by writing a romcom, however, there was one thing he did not expect.

Shiruka sweated as I stood before him.

"Um who should I sign this copy to?" he asked.

"Muramasa Jouzu," I smirked.

"MURAMASA JOUZU!? Y- Yes of course."

Shiruka frantically autographed One letter and handed it to me. I then took that and a copy of Six Chances at Love's final volume and flew off, spooking him and everyone there.

"There's a dragon guy that can fly, and it's Muramasa Jouzu. *Gulp* hahaha, sorry about that everyone, um let's get back to signing copies of my works," Shiruka nervously smiled.

Shiruka had no idea I was the one who originally put the idea of writing One letter in his head. Well, it was entertaining watching him write the manga just to get One letter published.

As for  Six Chances at Love, I think I'll bring that world to life for some entertainment. But that's a story for another time. Muwahahahaha!
