Adam blinked, waking up nude in a field of white flowers under the cover of darkness devoid of his weapons and rags.

Clutching his neck, Adam sat up, eyes wide as he eyed his timer and quest tracker.

Adam began to panic, immediately getting up and questioning how it was possible that he hadn't completed his quest.

Nononononononono! I killed it! I totally killed it! Adam lamented, pulling at his red hair in confusion as he recalled the events of his last life in his mind.

He killed it, he had to! That pig had to be dead, unless somehow the adventurers had stopped it or he had missed! There was no wa-

Immediately Adam was hit with a wave of notifications, his system screen suddenly firing off ephemeral sparks in a celebratory manner with a digital skeleton giving a thumbs up.

Suddenly his screen changed into an ephemeral slot machine, displaying the various types of rewards on the side.

A jar, a cookie, XP, gold, and what looked to be a clump of dust Adam could only assume was pocket lint.

Adam's eyes widened and his ears twitched, wondering what he'd get. Considering how poorly his luck had been going lately he half expected to receive a half eaten Cookie.

He fell to his knees and closed his eyes, almost praying as he begged for exp to finally level up and acquire some attack skills to defend himself.

As an at-range fighter, Adam hated getting his hands dirty, after all, the whole point of being a necromancer was so that he could have minions to do all his work for him!

Yet all his current skills were physical in nature!

At the beep, Adam opened his eyes, hoping for exp yet what he got surprised him.

[Reward Obtained! Freya's Bath Water!]

Suddenly A blue crystal jar materialized, spit out from Adam's system and landing in his tiny hands.

"What am I supposed to do with bathwater?!" Adam lamented, the slushing jar of water oddly warm as he clutched it in his hand.

Ok, hold on maybe there's something special to this! Adam rationalized, remembering he had an inspect skill he activated it, however upon doing so he frowned.

-Item Description: Bath Water stolen from the Goddess Freya as she was relaxing during her routine bubble bath.

A cold chill blew through the air, all the hair on Adam's skin standing on end as everything around him seemed to freeze, including himself.

I can't move?! Adam began to panic, struggling futilely against the tremendous pressure bearing down on him.

Suddenly a green robed figure with pale skin stood before him, her beauty literally taking Adam's breath away as his body failed to breath under her gaze.

She approached, her emerald eyes furious as she yanked the jar from Adam's hands.

Then, as abruptly as she appeared, she vanished, the pressure dissipating and leaving Adam all alone under the starry sky.

"M-m-my reward!" Adam screamed upon finally being able to move. All that effort and his reward was stolen!

"MY REWARD!" Adam screamed, falling to his knees on the cold grass with his little fists raised to the heavens. "MY REWARD!"

[REWARD Obtained! Half Eaten Cookie!]

At the notification a cookie materialized, landing at Adam's knees and plopping into the dirt.

"...."

Adam stared at the dirt covered brownish cookie filled with little chocolate dimples and a massive chomp mark on it.

Several moments passed in silence as Adam stared at the cookie until finally, he picked it up.

At least it's not pocket lint… Adam sighed.

Inspect.

Hwhao? Adam's eye's went round at the list of potential buffs. THIS COOKIE IS INSANE!

Despite the dirt, Adam immediately opened his mouth to take a bite, yet the moment he tried, time froze again.

What?! No! Not again!

Suddenly a short brown-haired, green-skinned woman appeared, one at the same height as Adam, her glowing golden eyes glaring at the little cat boy as overwhelming pressure flooded the area.

"A mortal such as yourself shouldn't possess this." The goblin-like girl growled before prying the item from Adam's frozen fingers.

My reward! Stop! Why?!

The green-skinned woman disappeared, leaving Adam once again alone in the grassland, shuddering in the cold naked as the wind blew.

Adam sat on the ground, his shoulders slumping. Unsure how to process what had transpired.

I miss my cat…

Adam's ears pricked up, his furry attachments twitching as the box rerolled his reward.

YES! Adam's ears wiggled, his mood immediately spiking.

This system sucks! Adam lamented, compared to his old system, this one severely nerfed his class and skills obtained. Instead of leveling up a class and gaining several skills and stats like he was used to, Adam was instead presented with a system that forced him to choose one, ONE Skill as a level up reward!

Yet, despite how different and nerfed this system was to his previous one, Adam cast his disbelief to the side, immediately knowing which skill he would choose.
