“What is that, Ana?” ask Yui.

“Actually, its not really competition. Its more to challenge professional singer. Every week, the selected person will challenge the professional singer on the show. The result will be decided by viewer. Person who want to participate in the challenge need to submit their video of their singing for management team to choose who they will invite,” explained Ana.

“I will pass. I don’t want to participate that kind of show. So, bye.”

Haruna then left us and go back to her work.

“I want to focus on my health for now. I don’t think now is right time for me to go back to that stage. Yuka, I think you should try.”

Yui suddenly suggestion surprising me.

“What?! I don’t think I can sing in front of many people especially with my anti that already waiting for me to singing again,” I try to voice my concern.

“I think its fine, Yuka. I have listened to your latest song and all the comment mostly good. You should be confident with yourself,” said Ana.

“I will think about that.”

At home, after we go back from café, Ai said this to me, “Yuka, I already submit your video.”

“What kind of video?” I asked Ai.

“Submission for ‘Sing If You Can’!”

“Are you kidding me, Ai? I am still not decide whether I will or not.”

“Do you want to miss this chance like that? I think this is best platform for you to comeback.”

Why does everyone want me to sing again? Can’t they let me to rest for now? I still don’t know if I can sing in front of people like old times. I don’t want to think too much about this. I hope I will not be the chosen one. But what will happen next week is the opposite of what I wish. I have been chosen. And the person that I will challenge is not a regular person. She had won many awards and almost her song top the chart. She is Yamada Rina. Did the management team make a mistake? How I am supposed to challenge her? Did they have any grudge on me? While this thought is filling my head, a message appears on my smartphone’s notification.

“Nakamura-san, can we meet tomorrow at park?”

Why he want to meet with me today? Did he just ask me for a date? No way! We just met a few times only. And what we can do at this park other than jogging?

I feel so dumb to assume this is a date.

“And good luck for the challenge with Yamada Rina! I will cheer for you!” said Mirai san excitedly.

“Should I singing again in front of other people? I still afraid with them. I don’t if I can be myself when singing.”

“I have told you before that you should do what you want right? Why you still need to think what other people think about you? The song you upload a few months ago very good! I don’t think there are so many people will hate you by now. If not, you can just sing for the person you love only,” explain Mirai san.

“The person I love?”

Is that mean I need to find a boyfriend now?

“I mean the person who always there for you and caring for you. That doesn’t really mean boyfriend or girlfriend. Your mom, dad and friends, they are the person you love right?” ask Mirai san.

“Yes.”

“So, you can just singing for them only. Remember them as they are person who always there for you, cheer for you. I don’t know what I say just now is useful but be yourself. The Nakamura Yuka that I always admire.”

Be myself. Mirai san is right. I just remember something from past when I say to myself ‘Music is everything for me. Nobody can stop me from loving my music!’ Really, I should wake up now.

When I enter the house, I can heard familiar song were play.

“Ai, this song..”

“Yes. Suddenly I feel want to hear this song again. You always heard this song when we were in high school right?”

“I remember crying so much when I heard this song. Its also remind me what happen between me and mom a long time ago.”

“Yuka, don’t you want to write song like this? I think it will be nice to perform in Sing If You Can! Show,’ suggest Ai.

“I think I have write this kind of song. Don’t you remember the song that I made last summer? The vibe is quite similar with this song I think.”

“Your song is mostly about to appreciate the feeling of the person who always support you meanwhile this song is focus on love. I never heard you sing this kind of song.”

“Do you want me to write the song about love?”

“Yes! I think it will the nice one! Don’t you think so, Yuka?”

Song about love? Then, I remember the conversation that I had with Mirai san earlier. About singing for the only person that I love.

“I will try but you should not expecting too much from me.”

The day is finally here. This show will be live in a few minutes.

“Hello Nakamura-san!”

Her voice startled me. When I look behind, Yamada Rina is behind me.

“Hello Y-y-yamada-da san! Nice t-to m-meet y-you!”

“Don’t need to feel so nervous! Just relax!” She try to calm me down.
