Chapter 10:

Chapter 10

Endscape - Journey on the Seas

The explosion on the ship came as a surprise to Jasfu as it forced her to awaken. She fell on the floor of her cabin and shook her head, rubbing the back of her head. Small groans escape her lips, and she was rising herself back to her feet, wondering what was going on. As soon s she got her baring’s straight, she moves towards the door to her cabin, attempting to open the door. Instead, she finds the door hard to open, struggling to open the door. A heat hits the handle, and her handle was soon pulling back from the doorhandle.

“Has the fire really spread down to here?” She asks herself.

She needs to get out of the cabin, and swiftly, as she needed to see what was going on outside. The porthole, which might be big enough for her, but she needed to climb to it. She starts to pile some containers around the place to get to the porthole. Another explosion sent the ship rocking, forcing the pile of objects to topple over and nearly hit her. She had to duck from some objects, but went straight to work on the pile, once more.

As soon as the pile was sturdy enough, she began to climb them and crawl through the porthole window, to get a better look of what was going on. As soon as she was out, though, she found an arrow nearly hitting her in the head. It seems the island natives, on a supposed, deserted island, didn’t take kindly to the attacks moments ago. She used the arrow to help her climb further out the window and leaps down into the water. She dives head-first and allowed her Leviathan tail to come out of her lower back.

She swims swiftly towards the opposite side of the boat and leaps from the water. Having learned tricks from Mao about wind manipulation, she starts to generate small winds beneath her feet to get higher up. Once on the main deck of the ship, Mao turned towards her and approached her. Once he was before her he slaps her across the face, knocking her down to the ground.

“Foolish girl, this is all your fault!” He shouted towards her.

“How is this my fault?!” She asks back.

He reaches down and lifts her by the collar of her tunic, pointing towards the island natives that were still on the land.

“You killed one of their people, now they’re back for revenge!” He shouted louder.

“They attacked me, it was self defense!” She argued back.

As they argued, another explosion hit the deck of the ship and the pirates were moving to splash down any fires that might arise. They were working fast, yet none of them has made any aggressive moves towards the natives. The only ones attacking were the natives themselves. They show advanced knowledge in the use of gunpowder. They were doing what they knew so well and attacking them all.

“Let me down, let me try to talk to them!” She demanded.

A sneer on his face and Mao tosses Jasfu towards the deck, where the explosion recently hit the ship. This is her mess; she needs to clean it up as soon as she can. Once more, she was pushing herself back to her feet, forcing herself to do what she needed to do. She moves to where the banister for the ship is and looked at them all. One of them pointed towards her, shouting at her. It was the one that was injured in her Rage state when he nearly killed her.

“Cloc ygi, clixi, kli farrim Klalok!” He shouted as he pointed her out.

Even though the pirates and Mao couldn’t understand them, she did understand what was being said. She seemed confused, almost as if the language was familiar to her, as though it was an innate language. It was as though it was a language she hadn’t heard in a long time. She needed to clear her mind, though, and step on the banister for the ship.

“Wrioki kcyw, gi hiog uye gi loxh.” She shouted back.

As soon as she spoke, the natives stopped their attacks, staring towards her. They lean in towards one another, whispering. While they whispered, she noticed the confusion in the eyes of the pirates and Captain Mao. She looks back towards them, clearing her throat as she stares at the island natives.

“Please, can we all just speak common? I know you can speak it!” She requests.

After a few minutes of them huddled together, the one with the scar on his chest steps forward. He slams his hand into his chest, as a display that he is the strongest of them, and therefore the leader of the natives. He needed to assert his dominance before the rest of them.

“You speak, we listen. We not like what you say. We attack.” He informed her. “Why kill Klalok?”

She knew that would be the first question that was to be asked and had an answer ready. “He attacked me, so did you. I attacked back and he was unfortunate enough to have been slain. You… on the other hand, ran away the first chance you got.”

The islanders started to mutter, as though they were trying to decide on if what she spoke to be true or not. The one with the scar was soon silencing them with a raising of his arm. They fell back, as though following the orders of the one that lead the charge. That’s when a new figure steps forth, a girl to be of five feet even.

The girl, just like the rest of the islanders, wears the pelts of animals she had slain herself. One can see the furs of a tiger around her waist, the fur of a legendary wolf called a Blood Wolf along her back as a cloak. Along her chest is the fur of a lion, the main being used to keep her chest warm. Her leg, only one remaining, leg, just the left leg. She hobbles along on a leg made of wood and approaches where the leader of the gang is. Her steely gaze falls on Jasfu, staring her down, now.

“Is what you say true, young lady?” She asks.

“Yes.” Jasfu Answers.

“And you, what have you say?” The mysterious woman asks the scarred man.

“She lies! She killed Klulok in cold blood!” He shouted back, raising his voice.

He thought the louder he shouted it, the more truth his statement was. Jasfu shakes her head in disbelief of the man and rubs her wrist, feeling how soar it was from the vines that reached out to bind her. She rises it in the air, showing there was remains of a struggle. Even her own neck still bares the bruising of her nearly hanging.

“Look here, proof I was attacked by these men, they nearly killed me with their vines and daggers!” She cried out to those willing to listen.

“More lies, she speaks nothing but li-” He was stopped as the girl leading them raised an arm.

“So you are telling me that… one of my own attacked you unprovoked?” The girl asks Jasfu.

All she could do was nod her head, feeling a strange energy off the girl before her. She was missing a single leg, yet seemed to scare the men of her tribe, meaning she had some serious power. What this power is, even Jasfu didn’t know right away. All she knows is that the one before her, is scarier than the men that are gathered.

“I couldn’t hear you, what did you say?!” The girl asked, sounding more angry and raising her voice.

“Y-Yes… they attacked me without me attacking them.” Jasfu answered, and soon looked to Mao, who just gave her a nod of his head. “These men, they were training me, because they’re getting paid to train me to be stronger. During this training, I was attacked by a Soulless. It took away a part of my soul and was captured. Once I started up the course, again, I found that I showed no care for the people that were helping me. The leader of these men taught me how to get my soul back, with my innate wind abilities.”

While speaking of the ability, the winds around her started to speed up and the dragon wing formed on her back, once more. This intrigued the one-legged girl as she noticed the wing, how it was draconic in nature, yet was the element of wind. She hobbled forward, and pointed towards the man that brought the group with him.

“You… are hereby banished from this tribe. Take what belongings you have and depart immediately. Or I will kill you, myself.” She ordered.

“But… she killed Klalok!” She shouted, sounding louder than before.

“Out of self-defence, you and he attacked her without asking.” The girl shouted louder than him.

“You believe this… child over me?!”

“Of course I would believe the princess of the Commonata and Rareta races.” She shouted back.

As soon as she said it, the group of islanders started to murmur and whisper between them. Last they had heard, all children of the Commonata and Rareta royal family had been killed. Including the youngest two, who were still in the womb of their mother when she had died. But here, now, stands the princess that was rumored to have been dead. They had many questions, but their murmurs were silenced when the girl raised her hand in the sky.

“Please, be silent, I know this is a surprise, but we needed to keep this a secret, even from the children themselves. If people knew that they were still alive, then more than just the One-Armed Man would have been hunting them down. It is rare for a child to be born of both the Commonatas and the Raretas. We understand, but there are reasons for the precautions.” She explained.

Jasfu watched as the one that had been banished was starting to walk away. It was justice, wasn’t it? Still, she felt a pain in her chest, her hurt sinking at the banishment of someone from a tribe.

“Please, wait… I’m sure it was a mistake made, right?” Jasfu asks the man that was walking away in defeat. “You saw an intruder and attacked to defend your territory, right?”

The man looked back and nodded his head. Still feeling the pain of loss at the same time. She could see it in his eyes, it was the same look she would carry if she lost Gaslyrok forever. She would be heartbroken depressed. Looking back towards the One-Legged girl, she has a pleading look on her face.

“Please… don’t banish him, He didn’t know what he was doing, or who he was attacking. If he had knowledge, then he would not have attacked.”

A thoughtful look on the girl’s face as she looks back towards the banished man. He really was only looking out for his tribesmen. She finally looks towards the other members of the tribe and sees them all giving her the same look, one that showed they will forgive his transgressions. She nods her head, looking back towards Jasfu soon after.

“If that is what you wish, he shall not be banished, this time. But if he attacks without provocation first, another time, he will be banished.” She warns the man.

The entire tribe cheer and are bowing to the one-legged girl for her mercy over banishing the man. Her steely gaze falls on Jasfu, once more, as she takes in the draconic wing that still remains on her back.

“Come girl, I wish to speak with you, and know more about you.” She said towards her.

“Well, first off, I think we should share names, my name is Jasfu.” Jasfu decides to introduce herself.

“I am called Fenrir.” She states her own name.

“Can we just talk here for the moment, Fenrir? I know nothing of you, yet you know so much about me. How is it that you hold so much knowledge of who, or what, I am?” She asks.

“Well, that’s a long story. But for now, let me tell you one thing. Back, before you were even born, I travelled with a boy who shares traits you do. He had the same wing that you bare, now, but he also bore ears, another wing, and even a tail. The traits of the royal family of the Commonatas. His were on the opposite side of the body, though. As his draconic wing was on the right, and not on the left. His name was…”

“That sounds like…”

“Usarocin” Fenrir said

“Gaslyrok.” Jasfu said at the same time as Fenrir.

“Wait. Gaslyrok? Who is Gaslyrok?” Fenrir asked.

“My twin brother, who is Usarocin?” Jasfu answered and soon asked.

“Usarocin was a brave boy. He, and a few of my friends, travelled together. Though he barely spoke, he was strong of will and character. He even helped us in ways that we never thought possible. This is… until we had to face the One-Armed Bastard. He took my leg from me the day we fought him. I… never saw the resulting battle, but it sounded like Usarocin gave it his all after the rest of us were taken down. The One-Armed Man didn’t even try to bother with me and the others, we were just… in the way.” She gave a small detail of what happened in the past.

“What happened to Usarocin?” Jasfu asks.

“I don’t know, some people came to help us from that tyrant, then we went off to save the world from a great disaster. That happened… six years ago.” She explained.

Of course, retelling everything that happened with Usarocin would be a tale for another time. She wasn’t sure where the boy was, now, or what he might be doing. All she knows is that he was successful in saving the world, or they would not be hear talking. Fenrir cleared her head and looked back towards Jasfu, just staring at her.

“You really do remind me a lot of him, you know. At least in terms of his more physical strength. You also mentioned a twin brother. Where might he be, right now?” Fenrir asks.

Fenrir had seen everyone that is on the ship, but there was no boy matching Jasfu’s age that emerged from the ship. Jasfu, herself, looked down in sadness at the mention of her missing twin. She knows he’s still alive, she can feel his presence, but he has yet to return to her. The draconic wing slowly disappears and magically vanishes soon after. But the girl was still worried about her twin.

“Last I heard, he was under the ocean floor, dragged down by some sort of monster. But Captain Mao has promised that he’s safe in someone else’s hand.”

“That’s right, he is safe with another person at the moment, who is giving him a different kind of training. These children have shown great innate potential in two different aspects. Jasfu here shows potential in the more physical arts. While Gaslyrok, her twin brother, shows potential in the magical arts. So they are to receive different training based on this knowledge.” Mao finally speaks for himself.

“Are you so sure on that?” Fenrir asks.

“It was the call of the one paying me to train her.” He answers.

“The way I see it. They’re true potential lies in them being always together. They are twins, that means they have more power when they are together, than alone. Look at the course you have her running. What do you think will happen if she was with her brother?” She asks.

“They would slow one another down. They would fail as soon as they tried at the desert.”

“That is were you are wrong. You do not know anything of our race. You see, twins being born within our people is extremely rare. Let alone twins that are opposite genders. And when twins are born, their powers are shared. Right now, she is only training at half her capacity. And if the one training her brother knew this of our people, then they would have taken the girl with them.”

For one so young, Fenrir seems to be wise and knowledgeable. This was starting to irritate Mao, and his brows furrowed in anger as he had been holding himself back out of respect for the strong woman.

“The one paying me to train her is one of your own people. He asked me to train her alone, in case she, and her brother, ever got separated again. They are strongest together, but need to be stronger alone.” He barked.

“Now, was that so much to tell me? It was better to have just said that, than it was to just say that you were training her alone.” Fenrir answered back.

“What do you mean separated again? Once I have my brother back, I’m never gonna separate from him, again. We will remain by each other’s side forever.” Jasfu interjected.

“Listen, he won’t be back for another week, maybe longer if the one training him has anything to s-” A large splash of water from behind, followed by an orca’s call interrupted him. It came so abruptly, and he never knew of the speeding creature closing in, leaping over the ship towards the dry land.

♂___________________________________________________________________________♀

Gaslyrok clings tight to Leviathan’s back as the orca speeds up from the sea floor and towards the surface of the ocean. Delfina and Mako were close at hand, with the two of them already drawing their weapons. They didn’t need to ride on the backs of sea creatures, as the two were already fast enough in the water on their own. Unlike the other two, Leviathan only carries with him a single box, as though it was more important than bringing a weapon.

Mako’s weapon as it had been drawn, is a pair of axes, ones that can be used as a pair of fins while in the water. It helped with his impressive speed. The appearance of the axes, at least the metal used, as a deep black with small sparkles, like the night sky. It was a rare metal, one that only the best warriors are capable of wielding. Gaslyrok stared into the metals used for a while but had to turn his attention away.

He looked towards Delfina, next, as she was carrying the spear in hand, with the blade aimed away from her. Just like Mako’s axes, the blade on the spear was made of the same material, black as the night sky with twinkles like stars. The tip of the spear was curved, like a water droplet and allowed for easier swings in the sky or in the water.

Another flash of light from the surface of the water and Gaslyrok looks up, holding his breath in hopes his sister will be okay. He can still feel her presence, so he knows she’s still alive, her overall condition is a different matter. He can’t wait to reach the surface and be reunited with his beloved twin sister. He was so excited, he gripped on to Leviathan tighter than he might have realized, and only opened his eyes when he felt the hand on his own hand. He looks, and loosens his grip, but only a little, as the orca was still speeding to the surface.

“When we get up there, you go for the ship and find where your sister. If the attackers are truly aggressive, then Mako, Delfina and myself will handle them. Okay?” Leviathan asks.

“Okay… I’ll stay out of the way. I know she’s still alive, though.” He confesses to Leviathan.

“I don’t think Mao will let any harm befall her, but just in case.” Leviathan stopped as another explosion went off.

The explosions coming from the surface of the water seemed to stop completely, and this worried Leviathan even more. With a tapping of his calves on the orca, it was speeding up with more pace.

“We need to hurry, if they stopped, it could mean the attackers have done what they intended to do.” Delfina said.

As they reached closer to the surface, they can see the debris form the ship, the attack on it from the explosions. It is a miracle the Carnage was still floating, with the attack from the large octopus, and now this. This only proves the ship can take a beating and keep on floating.

The moment of truth has arrived, and the orca reached the surface of the water. As soon as it leapt high in the sky, Gaslyrok leapt off the orca and started to fall towards the deck of the ship. The winds and flames behind him start to increase, and the wings were soon spreading to allow him to land gently down on the deck. He was about to spring below deck, to check on his sister, before stopping when he spots her.

He wa surprised to see her above deck, and not down below where it was safest. And with his eyes on her, he rushes over to her, using a boost from his wings to fly right into her.

“Jasfu!” He screams.

Hearing her brother’s voice, Jasfu turned around and was suddenly embraced by her brother, gripping him in the hug. As they looked towards the orca about to fall on land, they instead see it starting to morph and shape. To their amazement, it was a familiar figure to Gaslyrok. Akam, the whale of a man that bludgeoned him when he was first dragged down below the ocean surface. This seemed to be punishment for him, as he was ridden by Gaslyrok and Leviathan. As soon as he landed with a thundering thud, he was starting to pant heavily.

“Your… your majesty, please… never ask me to move that fast… again.” Akama said towards Leviathan.

“Oh calm yourself, it wasn’t that bad of a ride up, was it? Besides, this is your punishment for how you treated Gaslyrok when he first arrived.” He said back.

Gaslyrok was confused for a moment, but then the confusion left his face as it swiftly turned to anger, he swiftly calmed himself in his sister’s embrace. He was just happy to be reunited with his sister after so long of being apart. Even she didn’t want to separate from her.

“Yo, Fenrir, I shouldn’t have been surprised to see you here. But, why are you attacking the people I hired to look after the kiddos on the sea?” Leviathan asked.

“Well, had I been informed they were under your protection, I would have stopped the attack sooner.” Fenrir answered.

“Haha, yeah, guess I should have sent the memo around to the queen of the Lankonians.” He joked.

“Joking aside, it seems that young Jasfu in a bit of rage, defending her own life, killed one of the people on this island. But the one killed was lead by a fool that gets one more chance!” She yelled the last part, so the warrior could hear her more clearly.

“Well, anyways, I have brought a gift, just in case you were here. Sorry it took so long for Liam to send it, but you know how Mechanoids can be, they wanted to make sure it would be perfect for you.” Leviathan said.

Leviathan soon lowers the box he carried with him and slid it towards Fenrir, the lead opening as it slid. Inside the box was the same metal as the weapons carried by Mako and Delfina. It was forced down to a liquid form, just sloshing around in the box. The twins, Gaslyrok and Jasfu move closer to have a look, confused as to what was going on.

Fenrir had known this day would come; a promise made by the Mechanoid friend from years past. She is both fearful and excited about it. It was a painful process she had to go through and was moving to try and pick the fluid up but was halted by Leviathan.

“Hang on, he gave me some instructions to give to you.” He stated. “First, you must only let the liquid touch the part of your body that is missing, in other words what remains of your leg. Normally, this is a process that only infants of the Mechanoids go through, but in emergencies, they do allow others to use this stuff. Once it has been pressed against the afflicted area, just think of the form you want it to take. But please keep in mind of where you are, so make it look like a piece of armor or something.”

With the instructions finished, Fenrir lowers herself, pressing the leg against the metal. As soon as it picked up that contact was made, pieces of the liquid forces its way under the skin. A scream escapes Fenrir’s lips as she falls back, the pain rushing through her head as she fell back. The liquid metal, now attached to her body, started to lash about and whip at anyone that tried to approach her.

If she could describe the pain, she would state it was like feeling hot metal being forced under the skin, while at the same time, being stabbed by thousands of tiny needles. She needs to endure, though, to be able to get her new leg to form itself. Even with her mind on the pain, she thought of the form she wanted it to take.

The metal, lashing about, started to form itself, taking the shape of a suit of armor, or at least only the right leg of a suit of armor. It soon finished, and the black metal with the sparkles of light, like looking into the knight sky, keeps the form it was shown in her head. Leviathan finally approaches his long-time friend and pats her on the shoulder a few times.

“He also said that this is the old form of the stuff, so only the one form. Once it takes the form you have selected, it will keep that form.” He explained to her.

“Well… it was painful… and I rather not think of what might happen if I wanted it to take on another form. I think it would be more painful. And they do these to the children when they are born? And they call me a monster?” Fenrir teased, looking at her new leg. “At least he was able to use what metal we gave him.”

“Yeah, I still need to drop a shipment off to Phoenix. He hasn’t received his one for the new arm.” Leviathan stated. “Guess I can stick with the kiddos, until I bump into him. Plus, I don’t think Usarocin would forgive me if anything happened to his little brother and sister.”

“No, he would not. And what of those two?” Fenrir gestures towards Delfina and Mako.

“Retainers I passed on to them, from the Aqualians.”

“Then I suppose I should offer them a pair of retainers, myself.”

Fenrir slowly rose to her feet. And the twins were talking with each other at the same time. They told each other of what the other went through during their time apart. It was painful for each of them, but Gaslyrok worried more of his sister’s wellbeing. She had her soul taken, or at least a part of it, and that concerned him. Limping towards the pair, Fenrir still needed time to get used to the new leg, but finally reached them and looked between the two.

“You two really are like him. I can see it in your eyes. You both hold the same compassion for life that Usarocin held But he’s not here to protect you. That’s why I am giving you two a couple more retainers. One is the greatest magic user of the tribe on this island. He can mold the earth beneath your feet in ways that even I never thought possible. He will be a great shield for you to bring with you, and a better teacher in the ways of Earth Magic. The other is the most formidable warrior that I have seen, besides myself. She has proven herself in battle after battle of warfare. She will help you learn to use your weapons defensively. Looking at the big guy there, he seems more offensive than defensive.” Fenrir said.

With a glance towards the Island Natives, she points towards two of them. The two that approach, a skinny man with a built tone approach. His clothing, as to be expected of the clothing based on the islanders, is made from various furs of creatures. One of them is a fox wrapped around his shoulders, draped over like a cape that is split in the middle. Another around his loins is the fur from more than a few unfortunate rabbits that got in his way. Around his wrists and ankles are more furs of unrecognizable animals for the twins. Atop his head, sits a pair of Fox Ears and just like his ears, his hair is silver. His eyes blue sapphire as he stares down at the twins, looking them over.

The woman that approaches them is built differently. Her muscles are strong and look to be able to lift an entire log, to just toss it back at her foes. Her furs vary from animal to animal, but looking over them, there are ones the twins can recognize. Around her chest is cheetah fur, one that got between her and her own prey. Around the loins is Lioness fur, she got hungry that day and slew it for food. Her ankles and wrists bare the same furs as the man. Around her neck, like a scarf, is the pelt of a tiger. And like with the man, sitting atop her head is a pair of ears, but her ears being Tiger ears. Her hair even shares similarities as it is orange with black stripes. Her eyes are a deep gold, with the slits in the eyes focusing on the twins.

The two seem to know each other well as they stand next to each other, but they are also coming from the same tribe.

“Tokala and Kaplony, you are to be the retainers of these two children. Teach them your ways and protect them. They are very important, you understand.” Fenrir told them. “And I will be travelling with them for a while.”

That’s when Fenrir looks back to the ship and remembers the damages dealt to the vessel, sighing at the sight of it. She really needed the tribe to make up for what they had done, and turns towards them.

“Alright you lot, you need to make up for what you have done. So get to work helping repair that ship. And until it is finished, the people that are a part of the ship will be staying in the village!” She barked.

“W-Wait, we can h-“ Gaslyrok was cut off with Fenrir placing her hand before him.

“You two need to focus on your training, first. So you have a choice, train up here on land, first, or train below and under the sea. And this time, train together. You need to be at your strongest for whatever life throws at you.”

The two look to one another and seemed to have already made up their mind. They will be leaving as soon as the ship is repaired, and they will get a lot of water training while on the ocean. So it only made sense for them to make the wisest of choice.

“On the land.” Jasfu said.

“Under the Ocean.” Gaslyrok said.

“Wait, what? Why there first?” They both asked each other at the same time. “It only makes sense, we’ll be on the ocean for a long time.” They argued in unison. “Stop speaking at the same time as me!” They shouted.

They seemed ready to be able to go into a fight but were swiftly pulled apart by their new retainers.

“Calm down, little ones.” Kaplony stated.

“Earth training first. Water training on ship.” Tokala spoke up.

Both looked towards the other and knows it is the smartest choice between what was given. Even Gaslyrok had to agree with the choice. After calming down, they were lowered on their feet and allowed to move freely.

With everything settled, Fenrir approached them and gestured for them all to follow along with her.

“Come, I will show you where you will be staying, while training on the land.” She said towards the twins and the crew of the Carnage.

Following behind Fenrir, the twins stick close to one another. They hold each other’s hands and look at the trees as they pass. The jungle trees stretched high in the sky, reaching the furthest the twins had ever seen before. It was like a canopy of trees that almost blocked out the sun, with only small specks that let the light shine through. And whenever they took a step further into the jungle, the leaves themselves move, instead of being chopped down by a machete.

They allowed free passage through them, as they moved closer towards the village. The two picked up their pace, to keep up with Fenrir and the rest of the troupe they travel with.

“This forest… it’s kind of like the city at the bottom of the ocean. Are the plants… alive?” Gaslyrok asks.

Fenrir bursts into laughter at the statement and looks back at the younger children, a wide smile on her face.

“Oh, what little you know. All plants are alive, but they only move for those who show them the respect they deserve. Just like the city underwater, the coral is all living creatures. They move when they sense someone approaching, they making the coral underwater the prefect thing to be used for a city.” She explains. “It’s the same with these trees. They move when we approach because they respect us.”

Shortly after the explanation, they make it to the village where the tribe lives. Every building in the village is made out of the hollowed sections of trees, yet the trees are still alive. The branches covered in leaves move to act as doors for the tribesmen. They seem to sense when a person is approaching and move respectively to allow them to pass through. As the twins look up, they see more housing further up the trees, the branches acting as steps or leaping stones, depending on the people.

Turning to face them, Fenrir opens her arms wide and gestures towards the entire village with the widest of smiles she held.

“Here we are, you are, of course, free to walk around, explore. You will be staying in one of the few guest rooms in the village. We don’t have homes like everywhere else. The entire village is like the living room, kitchen, dining room and even common area rolled into one. Bathrooms are over there, behind that tree.” She points towards the most rotted looking tree.

The twins look to each other with concern at where they would be going to use the bathroom, and soon heard her starting to laugh. They look back to Fenrir, looking confused about why she was laughing, now.

“Sorry, sorry, it was a joke. Bathrooms are over there, to keep things private. We’re not animals, after all.” She pointed towards a rock that had a hole drilled through it, to open up a cavern that leads down below. “Now, please, explore, look around and pick your room before everyone else does.”

Once permission was given, the twins started to generate the green and red glows on their backs. They form the phoenix wing and dragon wing on their backs and start to flap. They wanted a room that was high up, so they could keep practicing their flying skills. Finding a good spot, the two move to the landing, gently touching down on the balcony of the tree and placing a hand on the tree from each of them.

“Thank you for letting use stay inside here.” They spoke in unison.

They seem to learn fast and show their gratitude to the trees for letting them stay inside it. After the thanks is shared, they step inside the room and look around. In the middle of the room would be considered to be a table and four chairs that the tree formed for them. At each end of the tree are beds, for two people, yet they each approach one bed together. As they looked out the door, they see the sun starting to set, the burning orange sky being a sight they hadn’t been able to see in a long time.

“I really missed being with you, Jasfu. It was hard being separated from you for so long. But I could still tell you were alive, no matter how far apart we were.” Gaslyrok said.

“Yeah, I felt the same. I never want us to be separated again. It was hard enough for the past… I don’t know, nine days?” She questioned herself.

“Felt longer than that, though.” He chuckled.

Both stretch their arms and yawn at the same time. It had been a long day, and the two had been through quite a bit. They needed to sleep, and they knew it.
