Leveling up cheat?!

Hikaru's energy suddenly turned, this gave Shuuta chills, and a huge amount of mana was gathering on Hikaru.

This threw off Shuuta completely. 'Didn't he say something about having less mana than me?'

He was correct, but…

"I will show you the fruits of my training, Shuuta." Hikaru grinned as he crossed his arms in an x form, he opened his palms and created a wave of mana that sent all the tar monsters back some meters.

Shuuta thought he was also going to get hit with the wave but he was fine. "Huh? It didn't harm me."

"It's not over yet! [Light Magic: Kingusunēku no su!]"

Various snakes of light began to form from his back, a huge-headed snake with more menacing traits glared at all the surroundings from the top of Hikaru's head.

"Wow…incredible." Shuuta was lost for words, Hikaru finally started to look like a senpai to him.

"So you were also training? Let's put our training to the test!" Shuuta yelled with fire in his eyes.

Now that he can go all out without being stuck at level 1, Shuuta can release all of his mana without restraints and debuffs.

Shuuta released his mana and created an earthquake, he doused his fists in devour magic, creating a red inky texture on his fists.

"[Devour Seeker!], [Devour Sentinel!] and [Devourers Glance!]"

"He's casting multiple skills?!" Kentaro was left stupefied, being able to cast multiple skills at once is advanced to most Mystics, it would take a huge toll on their body, especially on their mana reservoir. It would deplete you completely if not kill you.

Kentaro surmises something quite accelerating. "I might just witness something extraordinary."

Hikaru grins and starts a barrage of attacks, his snakes devour multiple tar monsters out of existence in an instant.

A huge amount of monsters surround Hikaru, but he has a card up his sleeve.

He points with his hands and yells. "[Hebi no nakigoe!]

All the snakes opened their mouths and shot a beam of light at their targets, completely erasing their presence.

Shuuta shrieked as he almost got hit by one of Hikaru's beams. "Hey watch out where you're aiming!" Shuuta barks irritatedly.

After that, Hikaru used his Light Magic to move across space in milliseconds, he can move at an incredible speed.

Shuuta could only see an afterimage of light, beams formed as Hikaru eliminated targets, Shuuta couldn't follow him at all, Hikaru's speed far surpassed his expectations.

"Kukuku~ It seems your kid developed quite the skills! Not even Shuuta can react to it." Granny Iho remarks as she playfully bumps Kentaro's sides with her elbow.

"Indeed he did. I'm quite impressed, he usually didn't show any talent when I trained him…did he just acquire new skills because of Shuuta?" Kentaro pondered at such a question.

"Wow! So that's the prez fighting! That sis-con can actually look like a senpai when he wants to." Yuri exclaims but then she changes her gaze to Shuuta.

"But, Shuuta-kun is still the best! I can't get my eyes off of him." Yuri stares deeply, trying to grasp every movement that Shuuta makes.

Yuri is trying to absorb Shuuta's combat abilities for herself.

"Quite indeed! Shuuta was able to stop the strongest skill in my arsenal, tis' why my body, soul, and mind belong to the Demon Lord." Kakoyo grins as she keeps her eyes on Shuuta.

"D-Demon Lord…" Kentaro almost laughed, she was not far from telling the truth.

Kentaro was also looking at Shuuta, wondering if Shuuta would become a Demon Lord just like his father...

"[Devour!]" Shuuta's hand became a horrific demon with sharp teeth, the demon swallowed a tar monster with its sharp teeth.

"…!" Shuuta realized something as he devoured the monster.

"Reached Level 6."

A light voice spoke from within his head.

As he heard that syrupy voice, his mind was clear.

The dungeon was an XP farm, eliminating those monsters gave them quite the amount of XP, a single tar monster filled a quarter of Shuuta's XP bar.

Since they entered the dungeon, Hikaru has been eliminating more tar monsters than Shuuta, the red-haired boy wonders what the level of his senpai is.

Shuuta grits his teeth as he fires himself up even more, he doesn't want to lose at all, and since Hikaru requested a challenge, Shuuta will go all out!

ROOOOOOOAAAAAR!*

Spider legs rose up from the black mud, and a horrendous monster began crawling up from the ground, its back had a white glow, and the spider legs closed in to protect the white area.

The 3-meter 'ogre' began a barrage of attacks, and various homing orbs of poison began tracking both lads.

"Wait is that…" Kentaro rapidly turned to Granny Iho and glared at her.

"Yes it is Kentaro-boy, do you have a problem with it?" Granny Iho looked menacing as she finished her words.

"N-no, but…will they be okay? I never thought Ygar would appear."

Shuuta countered the orbs with his own orbs, he then made his way toward the front of the ogre with a devastating kick doused in Devour mana.

It did absolutely nothing to the ogre, a loud thud was heard across the space, as the ogre grabbed Shuuta's leg and slammed him on the liquified floor.

The floor caved in and broke like glass, making the whole floor fall with everyone in it.

"W-whaaaaa?!" Shuuta yelled as he was falling.

Hikaru zoomed at light speed and caught Shuuta, a beam of light zigzagged from rubble to rubble until they finally touched the ground.

Skeletons decorated the floor, piles upon piles of skeleton heads spread across the hell-like grounds, the walls looked demonic and sophisticated as if a lord of old created them, and black chandeliers hung from a nonexistent ceiling, they just hung in there.

A beam of light finally landed on the ground.

"What the hell is this place?" Hikaru was holding Shuuta like a princess, suddenly dropping him.

"Gghht! That hurt, you bastard!" Shuuta barked getting on Hikaru's face almost in an instant.

"Shut up." Hikaru glances up and tries to listen for something.

"What are you doing?"

"Shhh!" Hikaru shuts the red-haired lad's lips.

Out of the blue, Hikaru tackles the stupefied lad avoiding a huge sword, an almost invisible rift appears behind them and almost kills them.

"That was a blow to kill. Shuuta, look alive!" Hikaru then stood up and lifted Shuuta in a quick motion avoiding another blow.

"Where's the damn ogre?! Is he the one attacking us?" Shuuta then sidestepped to barely avoid the greatsword, he then leaped towards a chandelier and hung from it avoiding another blow.

"I don't know! But, whatever it is…it's trying to kill us!" Hikaru then smiled as he felt a cold wind current from behind.

Boom!*

The snakes behind his back were able to stop the sword and with it, threw whoever was behind the rift.

Another demonic tar monster with long horns came out from the small rift. It was slim but armored, the monster created a dark sword from nothing and sliced the snakes with ease.

"Tch…this monster is not normal." Hikaru glared at his new opponent but then!

BOOOM!*

Dust filled everyone's views, and as it settled, the ogre landed but without wasting time it threw a huge boulder of rubble at Hikaru at an incredible speed.

Crash!*

Shuuta was able to react fast enough to break the boulder with a ferocious kick.

As he landed he spoke in a serious tone. "So its a 2v2…yo, Hikaru."

"What is it?"

"Truce?"

"Heh. I was going to take on both of them at the same time." Hikaru haughtily laughs but still agrees.

"Let's go!" Shuuta yells with a grin

"Alright!" Hikaru responds with a smile.

Both lads rush in at speeds that the spectators can't see.

Yuri only saw a blur and a beam of light, the huge ogre suddenly crashed next to a wall making a hole, and many beams of light shot across the room trying to catch the other demonic monster.

"I-…Is this a real fight? Am I dreaming?" Yuri was rendered dumbfounded, she had never seen a beautiful play of light and amazing combat prowess, it looked like a thought-out ballet.

"C-can I even compete against that?" Kakoyo was also beyond shock, but a fire of determination still burns brightly.

Kakoyo wants to fight alongside her Master, she wants to prove her worth to Shuuta, which means she wants to train even harder.

"[Devour Magic: Devour Sentinel!]"

A reddish orb appeared next to Shuuta, it followed him everywhere and shot Devour bullets at the ogre.

ROOOOOOOAAAAAR!

The ogre lunged at Shuuta and slammed its meaty arms and claws at the ground near Shuuta creating a tremendous tremor, the ground created spikes out of the ground.

This almost impaled Shuuta who, was able to sense danger and leaped away from the AoE, at the same time, he appeared his Muramasa blade and with the help of a wall, he thrust his legs darting himself towards the demonic ogre.

ROOOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRR?!

The ogre was impaled at his eye, Shuuta was hanging from the ogre and his katana, he then pushed himself away with a kick and finished the ogre with a single blow.

"This is my strongest physical attack in my arsenal," Shuuta spoke. "A thousand swings, One thrust!"

A valiant shadow poised his stance, the end of the Katana aimed at the wounded ogre, such monstrosity wore a face of fear, a feeling that he had not used for quite a while.

A glint of metal shone for a split second and

like a mirror the crystal was sliced in half, and only a small crater was left behind, no sound was made as the ogre slowly slid his other half away from his other half.

"I-incredible. Did my brother teach him our secret style? That imbecile." Kentaro could only smile at his brother's action.

This made sure of something for Kentaro, Kento is trying to turn Shuuta into an ultimate weapon.

"A thousand swings style!" Kentaro posed in a Japanese manner, making him look ridiculous.

Boom! Bam! Sound effects appeared as he struck that pose.

Granny Iho frowned at him, even the girls cringed.

"Boss…I never knew you had a side like that." Noara remarked with a blush, she felt embarrassed for him.

Kentaro could not even gaze at the people around him after Noara's response.

"Now, let's try something." As he ended his words, Shuuta began to devour the ogre's corpse, his demonic hand swallowed him up and gave him plentiful XP, and he raised 3 more levels which made him Level 9.

"Congratulations, you've been awarded 5,000 Xuvia Points."

"I knew it. So absorbing monsters can give me XP too. This changes everything." Shuuta instantly checked his menu and started browsing skills that can be handy in battle.

"[Overclock]…why is it so expensive?! [Mana Bullet]? It's very cheap…I wonder how effective it can be in battle. [Heal Wounds]?! I can also heal myself?! Oh…but I need proficiency in support magic, yeah I got none. D-destroyer magic?! I can learn that attack that Master Iho threw at me?!"

Shuuta remembers the massive ball of mana darting right at him. "[World Destroyer]….HUH?! A million Xuvia Points?!"

Shuuta was about to pass out, he felt too broke to continue browsing his menu.

BOOM!*

"…!"

"Instead of standing there browsing your menu, can't you give me a hand?!" Hikaru was pinned down with all his snakes wrapped around the demonic knight's dark sword, he was having a tug-of-war of sorts against him.

"Ehhhh…didn't you say that you were going to take on both at the same time? I already defeated one." Shuuta retorted, grinning as he got closer.

"Geez, now is not the time for this! This opponent is different! He's way too unusual!" Hikaru seemed serious, his eyes were sharp and calculative.

"It seems your brat has noticed Kentaro, impressive." Granny Iho smiles.

"Still, are you sure both can survive this?" Kentaro crossed his arms, his irritation leaked as he grumped.

"Like I said, Shuuta was going toe to toe with me at his Level 1, and your brat was able to pick up on Gaiser's mana."

"Gaiser? Why did you bring these two to Hiroyama's prohibited dungeon? It's practically a prison for the most notorious Mystics that have ever existed."

Kentaro knew of Gaiser, he was a Heavenly Commander of Division 4.

Gaiser does experiments on corpses of fellow Mystics, he is the leader in the experimental division and is a genius in necromancy.

Which means Kentaro does not like Gaiser at all.

Both are the same as a coin, Light and Dark.

"So that 'thing' is one of Gaiser's creations?"

"Yes."

"…"

"Now, now. Don't be a worrywart! I am sure that those two won't die."

This conversation intrigued Noara and the girls, they just sat in the grass and listened carefully.

"Shuuta…be careful," Yuri whispered as if the red-haired boy was next to her.

With a loud war cry, the entity's figure was sent flying some meters and crashed onto a wall creating a huge crater.

"Thanks. I thought I was going to die there." Hikaru regained his stamina as he rested for some seconds.

"Don't drop your guard yet. He's coming towards us!" Shuuta then pushed Hikaru away and saw a sword almost take Hikaru's head!

Hikaru also reacted and poised his body ready for an attack.

"Shuuta, this 'thing' is not normal…I have a bad feeling."

Peng!*

Shuuta barely parried a blow from a random rift, a black sword almost slashed him.

"What do you mean by that?" Shuuta has never seen Hikaru with a worried face, or at least not like this.

He understood that this opponent was special with an annoying ability but for Prez to be concerned?

What…or rather why is he acting this way?

"This 'thing'…is a Mystic." Hikaru was shocked to learn this as well.

"…!" Shuuta's face suddenly lost his vigor, and his expression turned grave.

"What did you say…" Shuuta's heartbeat dropped as he glanced at the monster with armor…but in reality, he could not tell what the monster was because of the armor.

Was it truly a Mystic?

Only a deep grin visited the face of the 'Fallen.'
