Chapter 64:

Olympic dinner celebration

Spice of Life

As the days went on, Rika only grew more and more anxious as nothing seemed to happen after Ookuma played her card. She was so preoccupied, she was starting to slip up a bit.

"Rika, what's wrong?" Masaru asked.

"I'm way too on edge. Ookuma publicly referenced her scheme against you. Plus I wouldn't be surprised if Rebelle secretly recorded you slapping her to use as more fuel," Rika trembled.

"Then let them. The photo by Ookuma was set up, and if Adler recorded everything then people will know she's the one in the wrong."

"Uh, that's not how it works. Rebelle will definitely edit the video to make you look worse. Ookuma's also got control over the narrative for that picture."

"Then take your mind off things by cooking. You were eager about making Brazilian themed dishes, now make due on it."

Rika attempted to psych herself up as she got to work.

                                                                            ...

In the new and improved luxury seating area. Athletes representing Japan in the upcoming Olympics were gathered at a party hosted by the Ginkawas. An old man with silver hair and lapis lazuli colored eyes clad in a tan hakama stood on the newly built stage in the center of the main floor and did the introductions.

"I am Gozaemon Ginkawa, the mostly retired head of the Ginkawa family. I welcome all that will represent our great country in Rio in the coming weeks," the man stated.

"I'm so glad we had that stage built. Now we can have live performances and acts," Rika grinned.

"Glad to your mood has improved, but I regret to inform you that the costs for those additions you requested have cut into our gains a bit," Masaru whispered.

"We'll make em back. Especially now that the Ginkawas know about the new amenities. That stage in particular was built so the whole 1st floor of the restaurant could view it. The cameras will also allow it to be viewed from the second floor seating once its complete. Why, I'm giddy at the things we can do with it."

Gozaemon then called two athletes up to the stage. One was a large bald swole man with golden eyes and the other was a buff woman with titanic breasts, lapis lazuli colored eyes, and fiery short red hair.

"These are our flag bearers, couple Koki Kuramori and his wife Eika Kuramori!" Gozaemon declared.

Koki immediately flexed, causing his tank-top to rip and expose his chiseled muscles beneath. A young red haired girl with golden eyes let out an audible groan as she sunk into the table.

"What ya sulkin for Emeri? Come up with Eriza!" Eika hollered.

Before the girl could protest, her younger sister, whom bore the same hair and eyes as their mother, picked her up and leapt onto the stage with her. The audience applauded the feat as the girl set her sister down.

"These are our girls Emeri and Eriza. They're gonna be Olympic athletes too. Why, Eriza will likely be competin in the next Olympics in every event she's eligible to," Koki declared as he flexed.

"I'm not going to be an Olympian," Emeri the older one groaned as she tried to hide in her hoodie.

The group then went back to their table as Gozaemon continued to introduce various other athletes.

                                                                          ...

Rika happily strolled up to Harumi's table to collect her order. In addition to Harumi, Madoka, and Gozaemon, the Kuramoris as well as two high school age twin girls with silver hair and lapis lazuli colored eyes sat at the table.

"So you must be the owner, pleasure for havin us, I'm Gozaemon the mostly retired head of the Ginkawa family," Gozaemon chuckled.

"Rika Komachi, pleased to have you here. Now what would you like to order?" Rika smiled.

"Hey Emeri, you gotta try the crepes here," Madoka grinned.

"Mado-chan, it's dinner time. I just want unagi anyway," Emeri growled at Madoka.

As soon as Emeri made eye contact with Rika, she let out a yelp and hid under her hoodie.

"U- u- u- unagi," Emeri shuddered.

"She's a little shy. She's a few years older than me though and is like a big sister to me. Double crepes so that I can feed her. Make some of then unagi flavored," Madoka grinned.

                                                                                ...

Once Rika left, Emeri peeked out to make sure things were clear before emerging from her hoodie and pulling out her phone. Unlike her athletic parents and younger 11-year old sister, Eriza, 14-year old Emeri Kuramori was not very athletic and was more versed in computers and hacking. Her parents, however kept forcing her to do sports, mainly due to their dumb jock personas. Emeri was also very shy around strangers. Since her mother and Harumi were good friends, Emeri got to know the Ginkawas and became close with Madoka, acting like an older sister to her when she was around her.

"The tainted-"

"-requested junk again," the silver haired twins scoffed.

Oribia and Orise were Harumi's 16-year old first born daughters from her first arraigned marriage. Unlike the others from the Ginkawa family, the twins were the serious no nonsense type. They were also purists that despised any Ginkawa that didn't have silver hair and lapis lazuli colored eyes.

"I'm here with drinks," Mimi smiled as she arrived with a tray of drinks.

"So this is a-"

"-branch member."

"Hhmph," the twins scoffed at Mimi.

"Harumi told me all about you," Gozaemon stated.

"Thanks, so is this Reiju here?" Mimi asked.

"Sadly no. Don't know where she disappeared to all those years ago. I regret that I wasn't nicer to her," Gozaemon sighed.

Mimi nodded and returned to the kitchen.

                                                                                 ...

Emeri glared at the unagi crepes before her.

"Mado-chan, I'm-mmph!?"

Try it, you'll love it," Madoka smiled as she shoved a crepe in Emeri's mouth.

"Umai," Emeri grumbled as she ate.

Emeri's parents and sister, meanwhile, devoured their protein enhancing meals, while Harumi and Gozaemon enjoyed their meals. The twins were the only ones who seemed to be miserable as they ate their caviar and truffles.

                                                                              ...

Once the event was over, everyone began to head home.

"*Sigh* the food was good here," Emeri grumbled as she checked to see how full her wallet was.

"Just take this as a little gift, you're like a granddaughter to me," Gozaemon winked as he slipped some 100,000 yen bills into Emeri's jacket pocket.

"*Sigh* Well, thanks grampy," Emeri smiled.

Inside, Rika and Masaru began cleaning up.

"Tonight was really nice. I hope we have more nights like it," Rika smiled.

"Are you fine now?" Masaru asked.

"Yeah, for now I'm fine," Rika serenely smiled.

Seeing Rika's serene smile caused Masaru to blush. He then approached Rika and inched his face closer to hers. Rika closed her eyes and tilted her head back, allowing Masaru to kiss her on the lips.
