Chapter 1:

Run

Love Takes Many Forms, One of Which is Death

Karin woke up in the middle of a silent night. A man was fast asleep beside her. Slowly she lifted herself, pushed aside the blankets, and got out of bed. She was wearing clothes scattered on the floor; slowly and with great determination, she walked towards the door that was not yet closed tightly, so there was no sound as she did not need to open the door handle.

The place was the gangsters' headquarters who controlled the surrounding area - a mansion 15 stories high and large enough to accommodate hundreds of members. Karin slowly descended the stairs, passing downstairs, which was full of people sleeping on the floor. After the party, they are drunk and almost oblivious to their surroundings.

The lighting was dim enough to make Karin's tiny body movements less easily captured. Yes, with a petite body only 140 cm tall, she is not too tall for a 13-year-old girl.

Karin lowered her head and exited through the main door. Some of them still guard the gates; Karin could see it clearly in the distance. Karin slowly walked towards the edge of the building to the part of the garden, which was dark and tall enough to cover Karin's crouching body.

What should Karin do? She couldn't possibly run and get through the gate guarded by several people, absolutely impossible. Should she wait at this place until she could find the right opportunity? No, it can't be. They will soon realize that She is not where She should be.

'What should I do?'

'What should I do?'

'What should I do?'

'What should I do?'

"I have to get out of here!"

'I have to go.'

"This is my only chance!"

"It wouldn't be easy for me to leave if not this time."

'But how?'

Karin was silent on the edge of the park, still watching the gate, which was about 60 meters from where she sat; about three people stood and stood guard. Their respective bottles were in their hands, and while laughing, they spoke proudly of the success they had had the day before.

'Should I wait until they get drunk and lose consciousness?'

"No, no, I can't wait that long."

'Kill them?'

'Kill!'

'How?'

Karin scanned left and right, looking for any sharp object or object that she could use to injure someone, but all she found were pebbles.

Could it be that Karin should go back inside the building and get one of the weapons used by the gangsters?

Karin immediately squatted and looked at the guards to make sure they weren't looking at Karin. Karin paused for a moment before returning to the building's lobby, no sound to indicate that they were awake.

Karin held her breath, which was getting faster and faster; She slowly entered the room and started looking around, trying to find a nearby person who had a weapon she could use.

Just 5 meters from the door, a bald man is asleep, and a 30 cm long knife stuck to his waist. Karin slowly approached the man and studied the look on his face. They were fast asleep.

Karin put her hand on the knife, still on the man's waist, trying to pull it gently. But the knife didn't come off either. Karin tugged harder, but it didn't come off either. Karin pulled again, even harder, still not letting go.

Karin tried to slowly push the man's body; she was still unconscious and didn't notice Karin's presence. Then Karin pushed the man's body with her leg and pulled the knife back.

'Agh, it worked'

"Haha, again. Huhhh"

The knife was already in her hand, and the man suddenly came to his senses and turned his gaze towards Karin, his red eyes staring at her questioningly. The panicked Karin immediately got up and hastily ran outside

The man got up and started screaming, but only a faint sound came out

"Karin, run away."

"Karin, run away."

"Hey hey hey HEI!!!"

He shook the body of the friend sleeping next to him, trying to wake him up.

"What?"

"Karin ran away."

"WHAT?"

The man next to him awoke and turned toward the exit, towards Karin, who was running towards the gate; He immediately raised his body and got up, chased the girl and shouted.

"Stupid, where are you going?"

He screamed until it made several people in the room wake up; he chased after Karin, who was running towards the gate.

Karin, holding the knife in her hand in a firm grip, prepared to smash the knife against anyone who tried to get close; she slowly started to approach the gate. They stood laughing out loud; it seems they are not aware of their surroundings.

Karin wondered whether to fight them or just run away. Maybe it was better for Karin to run, for now, Karin ran towards the gate and immediately opened the gate.

"Hey, idiot, get that girl."

The man who was chasing Karin shouted at the guards, causing the two people near Karin to get up and jump at her, trying to grab her shoulders. Karin panicked and stuck the knife into the guard's stomach; her strength was not strong enough to stab the guards; Karin only managed to push the guard back a few steps and run outside.

'Run'

'Run'

'Run'

'Run'

'Run'

Karin kept running without looking back; she runs through the night wind; the faster she ran, the closer she was to freedom.

'Run'

'Run'

'RUN'

She continued to run through the city streets, which were becoming more and more silent. It was late at night, toward morning; not many people are still awake; Karin thought she should run as far as possible until no one could recognize her anymore.

---

Morning, noon, night, she ran without stopping; 2, 3 cities she had passed until she came to a small town at night the next day after running away and running without stopping.

Karin stopped at the edge of town; she dropped her body and leaned against the nearest small shop building she could find; dry throat; she had been running all day, caring nothing but quickly leaving the place. Only at this time did she feel thirsty; she needs a drink.

Precisely 24 hours earlier, she'd last eaten the crusty bread they provided. Not in the slightest, she got the treatment she deserves one year was forced to live there.

Karin needs a drink to quench her thirst. Feeling that the layer of the wall on which she was leaning was quite cold, she hoped that there was a layer of water there, she turned and licked the layer of the shop building, but no, there was no water.

Karin tied the knife she had brought earlier on the inside of her shabby white dress so that others couldn't see where it was.

Karin scanned left and right, hoping to find something she could drink. There is a flower pot there; Karin crawled into the flower pot arranged in front of the shop, picked the flowers she could find and ate them. Her mouth and throat were too dry to swallow the flower.

Ctak.

The shop door opens, someone comes out of the shop and screams.

"Go away, go away."

He brought a glass of water and splashed Karin's face.

'Hot'

'Hot'

'Hot'

'Hot'

Karin's face felt a burning sensation because the water pouring down her face was so hot; Even though a few drops of water entered her mouth, the relief from her wet throat was mixed with the burning pain of the water.

Karin looked at the man in front of her; she was very thirsty and hungry. She needs at least a sip of water, or a piece of cake, whatever. She needed it.

"Give me food to eat. I'll work for you."

Karin tried to negotiate,

"Ck"

The man clicked his tongue and went back inside. After a few seconds, he came out with a piece of dry bread and a glass of a packaged drink.

He threw the two objects in his hand in front of Karin.

"Take it and go."

"Thank you."

Karin's first kindness had gotten in recent years, but it wasn't enough to make her smile. Her heart was too sick and filled with hatred.

Karin immediately took the bread and glass of drink and walked away, trying to sit in the corner where she would most likely rest and think for a moment, what should she do after this?

Her parents never treated her right; his father worked as a gangster member where they sold Karin.

Her mother lived a life full of regret over her father's persecution; Karin was the result of it all. Harsh treatment that made her body covered in wounds she was used to felt since childhood.

Karin ran the household and worked for money. Maybe her mother hated her father and hated her because she was born out of their marriage relationship.

Not enough with the treatment she received since she was a child, her parents also sold Karin to other people, to become a slave?

The treatment she got at the gangster base couldn't be any better; they treated Karin like an animal.

Pain sliced her heart, making the feelings of hatred lost because of thirst and hunger now reappear.

They treated Karin like an animal, being a slave to their boss. Without a comfortable mattress and decent food anyway.

Hatred filled her heart, mind, and entire body - hatred that felt so great was getting bigger, and even worse.

Hatred filled Karin's mind; she wanted to let go of all these feelings, relieve her heart, and repay the treatment she had received.

'Fuck it.'

'Fuck it.'

'Fuck it.'

She had to settle it right away, this anger, this hatred - this father who never gave his love and never provided for his family. And the mother who always took her frustration out on Karin.

What else can cure this painful feeling, if not, take it out. Yes, they were the ones who brought Karin to this point, where she can no longer feel a life apart from hatred and revenge.

Hate gets stronger, so there is no other solution to cure it, except

'Kill?'

'Kill?'

'Kill?'

'Yes'

'Kill'

'Kill'

'Kill'

Kill those who have kept Karin in this state.

Black mist filled her mind as well as her body. Kill, kill those who have put her in this condition. That's the only thing Karin is thinking about right now.

Karin rose from where she was sitting and slowly took a step away; wherever she went, all she wanted right now was to finish what she had to end. Get over this Hate, get over it, until there's nothing left.

Karin kept going all night; she doesn't understand where she's going. All she wants is one, finish this now.

1, 2, 3, 5 hours passed, and Karin was still walking towards her goal. The destination where she will end all of this.

'Kill'

'Kill

'Kill'

---

One moon is at its darkest point, while the other moon, with its blood-red light, envelope the night. There is a house where she was born and raised in scars right here in front of her.

Karin slowly approached the house on the outskirts of the city. Karin was standing right at the house; before Karin grabbed the house doorknob, night descended on the earth, covering her body and blurring her eyes. The darkness wrapped her body, not the lights of the lamp again covering her body, but the light of hatred.

Karin touched the knob and turned it, and nothing happened; the hand could not touch the doorknob but penetrate through the door in front of her. Karin stepped forward to get closer, and suddenly she was in another part of the house.

In front of her fell asleep a woman, sleeping soundly there. She couldn't imagine what it would be like to fall asleep peacefully like the woman lying in front of her now.

Karin walked slowly; the closer she walked, the darker the night enveloped her body; now, all that was left was darkness. She could not see the figure before her, but she knew exactly what was there; she could recognize his surroundings.

She strolled, approaching the bed and pulling out the knife, lifting it slowly and pressing it against the neck of the woman who was sleeping soundly in front of her.

'Goodbye'

'Goodbye'

'Goodbye'

'Goodbye

'You deserve to get out of this world.'

'Immediatly.'

"Your life deserves to end."

'Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill, kill.'

Karin lightly pressed the knife into her skin; blood began to flow as she opened her eyes, shocked, and stay still. She couldn't move because the knife was pressing against her neck.

"Karin? Karin, why are you here."

Why is she here? To settle her business, of course, to pay her hatred. What else was she standing here for

"Kill, kill, kill, kill."

Karin was still holding the knife, fresh blood started flowing slowly, and the woman in front of her continued.

"Karin, you have to get away, this place is not safe."

"Karin, you hate me?"

Hate you? Which fool asked that? After all the treatment she had done, after all the hatred she had managed to instill in Karin's heart. The clown in front of her dared to ask such a stupid thing.

'Hate? Hate? Hate? Hate?'

Karin was still silent and holding the knife while still keeping the woman in front of her from moving.

"Karin, you have to go, this place is not safe, my daughter."

Daughter? Since when did she call Karin a daughter? Of course, since this knife stuck to her neck, and her life was coming to an end.

'Fuck'

'Fuck'

'Die, die, die, die, die, die, die, die'.

"Get out of here Karin, kill your mother now. And get out of here. This place isn't safe."

Kill? Of course, that was what she was going to do tonight, right now, right now.

"They're looking for you, they're in this house."

Are they here? Good, she can end it at once.

Slowly the door behind her opened
