Chapter 1:

Chapter One: The Origin Of Tradition

Beyond The Unknown

I dashed through the snowy forest, my breath heavy and laboured in the freezing air. It felt as though the snowfall was a torrential downpour, pelting me relentlessly. My white hair with green strands  whipped around my face as the wind howled, my light green eyes shining with determination. Every inch of my body was covered in bloodstains, a stark contrast against my brown skin. As I ran for my life, thoughts of my mother's teachings about THE ORIGIN OF TRADITION flooded my mind. How were continents formed? How was language discovered? How did traditions come to be? All these questions raced through my mind, an ominous reminder of the life I had been forced to hide.

The sound of howls nearby caught my attention, but I couldn't afford to be distracted. The snowstorm began to calm, allowing me to see more clearly. Suddenly, an arrow whizzed past my face at lightning speed, tearing a gash in my once flawless skin. Pain shot through me, causing me to cry out in agony. As I stumbled over a concealed stone, I tumbled down the hillside, losing control. It was in that moment, as I hurtled towards my unknown fate, that an answer to my questions finally emerged.

Finally, I landed on the edge of a cliff, gasping for breath. Relief flooded over me, until I peered downward and saw a deep pit waiting to swallow me whole. "Safe," I muttered to myself, the word hollow and empty in my ears. The near brush with death left me trembling, my luck seemingly taking a turn for the worse. I laughed bitterly, questioning my own sanity. Exhaustion consumed me as I struggled to move away from the perilous ledge. The effects of the drug my mother had given me began to take hold, making it increasingly difficult to stay conscious.

Desperation surged through me. "I need to get out of here," I murmured, my voice barely audible. But before I could make my escape, a star-shaped object descended from the sky, approaching the area where I stood. The object transformed into a mysterious sphere, crashing into the edge of the cliff with a thunderous boom. The impact caused the ground to crumble beneath me, hurtling me towards my doom.

As my consciousness faded, overwhelmed by the side effects of the drug, I could do nothing more than succumb to the darkness.
