Chapter 5:

Foretelling the Revelation

Syanic Earth 3: Dynastiotron Arc

"What now, Oreic?" Isrina worried about Terrhina's spirit.

"I assure you the masters and I'll make sure she won't lay a finger on Shien," Oreic promised Isrina as he saw Yanshi signal him to meet. "The masters and I will have a word now. Why don't you relax with the Murhavs and Shuruukos in the meantime?"

"O-okay," Isrina nodded as Oreic met with the masters in a broken train.

She headed into the medical bay and smiled to see Rahim and Naphthien hug their awakened daughter.

"Glad to see your daughter is well," Covinski walked into the room. "I know it's late, but we have some catching up."

"Sure," Isrina nodded.

Covinski grabbed a chair to sit on. "Now, before I start, I want you all to swear that you will tell me the truth."

"We swear," Isrina sat beside Shien.

"Is the UICA responsible for the World Cybertrap?"

"No!" Isrina's group said immediately.

Naphthien violently shook her head.

"Can you prove it?" Covinski took out a notepad and pencil. "The public is convinced that the UICA started the World Cybertrap. Instead of being blinded by Federation propaganda, I want to hear from your perspective, but it's been difficult with Cecilius gone."

"Colonel Maika started all of this. She made the Eclipser Virus," Isrina told him. "I was there at the Baltimore WARBLER Center with Saitori and Cecilius. She and another agent infiltrated the center and planted the virus during the anniversary. We tried to stop her, but failed."

Covinski wrote on his notepad.

"So, you're saying that Maika herself was responsible. How ironic that she's the one gaining power over our country," Covinski turned to the Murhavs and Shuruukos. "Were any of you with Isrina during the anniversary?"

Niode raised his hand. "I was. We worked together to build an antivirus against the Eclipser. It's now up to my daughter to lead the players in beating the game to activate it."

"Hold on. Beat Syanic Earth?" Covinski adjusted his glasses. "Nobody's ever done that."

"Unfortunately, it was the only method that worked for the Eclipser virus."

"I hope Shien and the rest of the gang are okay," Nashura worried.

"I hope so too, Nashura," Isrina stroked Shien's face. "My Little Chickadee."

The General scribbled his notes. "And you swear this is the truth?"

"Yes, General."

"Alright. I'll report to Forroway ASAP."

"You were in touch with President Forroway?" Rahim gasped. "What's he doing?"

"President Forroway is secretly doing an undercover investigation on Maika. He entrusted me to find you before Maika does."

"Thank goodness he's still with us," Rahim sighed with relief.

"So, Baltimore WARBLER Center. Correct?"

Isrina nodded.

Covinski checked his report. "Thank you all very much. Forroway will likely send an investigation unit to the wreckage of the Baltimore Center once I report this to him."

"Thank you, Covinski," Rahim smiled. "Tell Forroway we're thankful."

"It's my pleasure."

"Wait!" Niode exclaimed. "Before you go, could you give us a map?"

"Sure? Why?"

"Cecilius left us something that could beat the Federation."

"Whatever can stomp the Kneapexists is music to my ears. I think I may have a ruffled old copy here," Covinski searched the pockets of his green military jacket.

"Great. Can you tell us where we were when you rescued us?" Niode asked.

"So we're in this city's subway," Covinski opened a map. "We got you out from that library approximately 10 miles northwest from here."

"Sweet! Thank you!" Niode swiped the map from Covinski's hand.

"Sure thing," Covinski walked away as he called Forroway on his transceiver.

Niode plopped down next to Lansen, studying the map as Rahim walked over to look. "Alright, it's time to find Choro Emplexion!"

Oreic sat with Masters Psyinen, Seniel, and Yanshi in a tattered train. After acknowledging Terrhina's awakening and Guardian Fariix's death, Oreic told them about Isrina's nightmare.

"I believe this is an omen of the Revelation Concerto," Oreic sat beside Psyinen. "Terrhina's awakening is also a sign."

"According to the ocean of scriptures, the fallen master Iagen will unlock all three sisters," Seniel adjusted her purple ponytail. "Together, they'll take Shien as their host and offer him to the beast, Sol Eszkeios Epsilon."

"That would mean us Vulpi will soon be called to the war ritual to stop the Omaunukai from invading our world," Yanshi punched the wall. "Just great. We have to deal with both this and the Cybertrap happening in America?"

"Yanshi," Seniel grabbed his sleeve.

"S-sorry, I mean, I know dealing with the demons was inevitable. I just wish it wasn't so badly timed."

"What do we do now?" Psyinen asked.

"Have any of you got in touch with Guardians Inveticus and Abon?"

Oreic and Psyinen shook their heads.

"If my sea of memories is accurate, they're still on missions," Seniel reported.

"They may not know about Terrhina's awakening. We need Inveticus and Abon standing guard at the other sarcophagi," Yanshi then turned to Psyinen. "You can use your portals to travel through the music dimension and go to wherever missions the guardians are at and take them back to their posts."

Psyinen pressed her lips in worry. "I-I could. It's just... it will be quite a journey for me though."

"Master Yanshi, that would seriously risk Psyinen's health," Oreic stood. "Her mental age divides with each portal she makes."

"I know, but we're not making multiple portals. She can make one at a time for her to recover her mental age."

"Well, I guess you did learn from that time you told Psyinen to open ten portals. That time Psyinen's brain turned into a one-year-old who thought SANDRA was her mother?"

"Gee, thanks for roasting me again for that one moment I'm not proud of. You're such a good friend, Oreic."

"Anytime, Yanshi."

Seniel tried her best not to laugh.

Yanshi tapped Oreic's shoulder. "Hey, I know you're worried about Psyinen's mental health. I can go with her to ensure she doesn't lose track of herself."

Oreic help Psyinen's hand. "Then, I'll go too!"

"No!" Yanshi ordered. "I need you and Seniel to help the SHRIKE."

"But-"

"Oreic, you're the closest to Isrina and Shien than any of us. That's why I want you to stay to protect the Niangs."

Master Oreic looked at Psyinen. "I'm just worried about you. It hurts me that you have to fluctuate your mind for everything."

"I know, but I do to fulfill my duty as a Vultau Master," Psyinen hugged him. "I'm sure Yanshi will keep me in good care. I'll return to you, Oreic.

"Okay," Oreic mumbled. "Stay safe."

"Seniel," Yanshi turned to her as Psyinen spun her oboe staff to open a portal into the music dimension. "Take care of the SHRIKE and Vulpi refugees the best you can."

Master Seniel nodded. "I'll see to it that Makiyu's water will bring healing to many."

Yanshi escorted Psyinen into the portal. "May Makiyu guide us!"

"Come back soon, Psyinen," Oreic stared at the closing portal.

Seniel prayed. "Dear Makiyu, please guide Masters Yanshi and Psyinen across the seas of danger and prepare us for the Revelation Conerto to come."
