Chapter 7:

Mivangeline's Anointing

Syanic Earth 6: Revelation Concerto Arc

Mivangeline and the party opened their tearful eyes, watching Iagen laugh through Shien's body.

Iagen grinned with Shien's fangs. "Now, I'm no longer bound in the Archkaos by Aian's curse! I can venture into this world freely with this body! I need some practice before tomorrow's war in the Archkaos. Yes, I think killing you all will do nicely. What better way to kill Shien's friends and family than using Shien's hands to do it!"

The Iagen-controlled Shien morphed his arms into Baneful Dreadscythe, ready to hurt the heartbroken friends. However, Mivangeline stood against the Shien/Iagen fusion with confidence.

"You insist on fighting me?" Iagen questioned through Shien's mouth. "Why?"

"Everyone, have hope," Mivangeline told the crying friends. "The Lord says Shien isn't lost. He is merely sleeping."

The fusion chuckled. "What nonsense are you saying-"

"Enough, Iagen. I'm not afraid of you," Mivangeline walked to the fusion.

"H-hey! Stay away from me!" Shien's body backed away, shaking with uncontrollable tremors. "I took your boyfriend from you! Why aren't you scared of me?"

"Iagen, it's time to leave in the name of Jesus Christ."

Iagen's voice shrieked in terror through Shien's mouth as the fusion's body thrashed unnaturally.

"F-fear me!" The fusion crawled away. "I-I will be Grandmaster soon! Y-you should be frightened-"

"No, Iagen. You are nothing," Mivangeline pointed at Shien/Iagen. "I declare complete freedom over Shien! The yoke is broken in Jesus' name!"

The fusion knelt and faced the ground as if he were vomiting. "Go away, Shien! Get out of my head!"

"Amen, Mivange!" Within the dark realm of Shien's mind, Shien punched Iagen in the face. "God is good!"

The demon was sent flying across the prismatic floor full of plush birds.

"I never said you could enter my body, and you put me to sleep with three creepy witches?" Shien stomped. "You got a lot of nerve!"

"You're not asleep?" Iagen panicked. "What the heck happened? The Prognosticus Trinity's all-mighty magic should've kept you in shackles!"

Shien chucked the plush birds at Iagen's face. "I like cute puffy birds and my cute girlfriend, Mivange! You're not any of those. Get out!"

"Ack! Stop that! Do I look like a joke to you?" Iagen clawed the birds down.

"Do you want me to answer that question honestly?"

A vein popped on Iagen's forehead as he tackled Shien.

As Shien challenged Iagen to a duel in the fusion's mind, Mivangeline hugged the shrieking fusion.

"Shien's fighting hard now," Mivangeline told the party. "Let's give him our support."

Isrina, the two masters, and the friends gathered around Shien's thrashing body.

"My Little Chickadee! Please stay strong!" Isrina stroked Shien's head. "You're my only dear son! I love you!"

"Shien! God is freeing you from Iagen's witchcraft!" Mivangeline declared. "Thank you, Jesus!"

"Shien, my dear short pal!" Enshiron shouted. "You're too precious! Send that demon flying to the moon!"

Elysia grinned. "Shien! You may be a shortie, but you're the best shortie!"

"Shien! Hullo there? Do you hear me?" Nashura cried. "We're not leaving you! Just like you never left us!"

"Shien! We're all weirdos, but you brought the best weirdos together!" Calice laughed. "You care about us. That's why you're my inspiration to be a social worker!"

As the Shien/Iagen fusion squirmed in Mivangeline's arms, Naivern, Ritom, Dorian, and Kyrinna walked out of Choro Emplexion.

"Commander! We finished the project!" Ritom announced.

Someone else walked beside Mivangeline and gave the fusion's head a familiar noogie. Everyone gasped at the result of Mivangeline's project, the endearing android friend with gray hair decorated with a berry ornament. Her cybernetic green eyes blinked, wearing her green Syanic Earth battle uniform and gray skirt with arm and leg gauntlets locked and loaded.

"Phoenicia!" The friends jumped with joy.

"Greetings, Shien! It's a pleasure to meet you in real life despite your non-ideal circumstances! Now, to the parasite named Iagen that dared violate Shien. I strongly recommend refraining from utilizing Shien as your host. Refusal to release our favorite shortie may result in violent apprehension. Thank you for your cooperation!"

Nekhamon arrived at the lotus-shaped Arcane Phalange in Tiananmen Square. The fiend folded hands to summon a veined Ruyi Jingu Bang staff, swinging it to destroy the fortress walls. SANDRA lifted her Tessenjutsu war fans to summon her steampunk Yamata dragon to hold Nekhamon at bay. Delmisa turned into a dark smog that broke through the window of Fanghui's office. The Death Sister found the Supreme Herald calmly watching SANDRA's Yamata dragon brawl with Nekhamon.

"I have you now, Fanghui!" Delmisa held her shamisen bow at Fanghui's neck. "Pay for your crimes against the Vulpi!"

Fanghui didn't flinch or show any signs of fear. "Well, a pleasure it is to meet Delmisa, the Death Sister, the former apprentice of Master Fermato."

"You know me?" Delmisa hissed through her jackal fangs that crawled with scarabs and centipedes, breathing in Fanghui's face. "Why aren't you screaming for mercy?"

"Why? Because I've wanted the Revelation Concerto to happen. I made sure Iagen had Shien and everything he needed. I longed for the destined war ritual between Vulpi and Omaunukai. I can finally see the Vulpi meet their doom."

"How interesting, but you do realize if we win against the Vulpi, Eszkeios will destroy and recreate the world. You're bringing upon your doom."

"I appreciate the concern, but the Federation is prepared for that possible outcome. Why don't I give a demonstration using Nekhamon as target practice?"

Fanghui talked into his transceiver. "Release the Kneapexio!"

Underneath the Arcane Phalange, Fanghui's secret war machine rose against Nekhamon. The Kneapexio was a colossal mercury-armored minotaur with one red and teal eye similar to Fanghui's. It wielded six giant arms while a triangular abdomen thruster served the machine's lower body, ejecting burning fuel to propel it. The mecha minotaur's forehead contained an inscribed Mandarin word for divine.

Nekhamon folded hands to cast a spell, summoning portals that released triangular pillars. The monster pointed at the Kneapexio, commanding the cannons to open their veined and eyed insides to fire dark lasers. Nekhamon scratched its five-eyed head in confusion when the spell didn't affect the Kneapexio.

The war machine chain-punched the fiend with its six arms like a punching bag before using its thruster abdomen to kick Nekhamon and send the monster flying. Nekhamon opened its fanged chest mouth to breathe fire at the Kneapexio, but it also had no effect. Nekhamon swung its Ruyi Jingu Bang staff against the Kneapexio's martial arts.

"Grr! Just because you got a big machine that's magic-proof doesn't mean you are!" Delmisa played her shamisen to summon a mound of scarabs to attack Fanghui. "Take this, big mouth!"

The Death Sister breathed a swarm of locusts into Fanghui's face. The insects crawled about Fanghui's invisible mercury barrier, unable to harm him.

"W-what? That's not possible! No human can withstand a Vulpi's ZNA power!" Delmisa trembled. "How?"

"Let me tell you something, Delmisa."

The Supreme Herald snapped his finger, signaling two megachasmoids to stomp on Delmisa's insects. The scarabs and locusts jumped on them, but they couldn't bite into their mercury armor.

"It doesn't matter who wins the war ritual during tomorrow's solar eclipse," Fanghui said as the cycloptic droids killed the bugs with their quadruple-blaster arms. "The Vulpi or Omaunukai, I don't care because, in the end, I'll always be the winner!"

Delmisa barred her fangs, trying to hide her fear as she drew her shamisen and bow as swords. She struck Fanghui's neck to find her weapons shattered. The megachasmoids aimed at the Death Sister, but Fanghui signaled them to stand back.

"So, Fermato's student requires a lesson from me?" Fanghui mocked the Death Sister as the two readied their palms for a martial arts duel. "Allow me to teach you a lesson I've taught every Vulpi. A lesson of pain!"
