Hunting of The Past ~Demon Hunter~

Narrator: "This world is surrounded by crime, greed, and many other sins. When people gave up hope for peace there are a group of assassins that would cleanse the world. If you're truly tormented by anyone and want vengeance, then you must call upon The Sweepers and they will take vengeance for you."

Seven is walking home with his childhood friend Matt Louis.

Matt: "So what was it like at Rhinestone City anyways?"

Seven: "Not as boring as I thought it would."

Matt: "What do you mean by that?"

Seven: "Well..." He thought about his time in Rhinestone City as a hunter. "No particular reason."

Matt: "Uh-huh..."

Seven: (In Narrative Tone) "It's been about a month since I've been back home. I'm glad I got to see my friends again. I even joined the archery team at my school when I got back. My friends were surprised to see me join the team. Though honestly, I feel that I've changed in a way that I'm different now than I was before I left home."

Matt: "Later man."

Seven: "Later." He went to the apartment and just as he went inside his mom's apartment. "Hey, Mom I'm home."

He is surprised to see a woman he never met.

Alice: "Seven I'm glad you're home I want you to meet an old friend of your dad's this is Sylvia."

Sylvia: "Hello Seven my God you look just like your dad."

Seven: "You knew my dad?!"

Sylvia: "You can say your dad and I grew up together." She gets up. "I should get going."

Alice: "Well it was nice seeing you again after all these years."

Sylvia: "Yes it was." She leaves the building. "It was like looking in the past... He looks just like Nicholas... Good thing I didn't offer to shake his hand. Since he is Nicholas' son then he will most likely have his ability to see the future and past. Then he'll know the truth... The truth about his death..."

Seven goes up to his room and takes some stuff out he forgot about. He comes across the scarf he got from Christiana and thinks back when he got it from her.

Christiana: "Honestly little boy do even try?"

She wraps a scarf around his neck.

Seven: "Why did you give me this?"

Christiana: "It's old I have no use for a scarf anymore."

He smiles and finishes putting the rest of his stuff up in his room. Later on, at night Seven is hunting a demon possessing a woman by using himself as bait.

Demon: "Hello there are you here alone?"

Seven: "I am I just had to get away from it all my girlfriend just broke up with me. It hurts so much because I gave her everything and that wasn't enough for her."

Demon: "That's why you need a woman, not a girl."

She puts her arm around his shoulder.

Seven: "I should let you know I may not look like it, but I am seventeen so that means I'm legal." (Thinking: "That's a lie.")

Demon: "How about we go somewhere more comfortable? I know somewhere we can get more acquainted."

She leads the way but Seven prepares to use his weapon.

Seven: "I hate to break this to you, but I've been told to never follow strangers especially if they are a demon."

Demon: "What the hell?!"

Seven: "I've been tracking you for about a week you go after broken-hearted men and use their sadness as your personal fuel."

Demon: "You bastard!!"

She attacks him but dodges the attacks revealing that he has been training very well.

Seven: "Now unholy demon go back to hell where you belong, and you won't come back to this world!"

He uses his bow and arrow; the arrow hits the demon in the heart and the demon escapes the woman's body and is banished back to hell.

Woman: "Huh?! What's going on?! What am I doing here?!"

Seven: "A demon possessed you it used your face and identity to kill innocent young men for many weeks."

Woman: "Oh God... I can't believe it..."

Seven: "Even if you run, you'll be a fugitive you'll be running for the rest of your life. You can either face it and go to prison or let me end it all for you."

Woman: "I won't survive prison please end my life I rather die than go to prison for something I didn't do!"

He walks behind her and uses his dagger and kills her by stabbing her in the side of her neck to make it look like suicide.

Seven: "Sorry I have to do that I hope you'll find peace crossing over."

Sylvia: "I see you have taken your dad's footsteps."

Seven: (Thinking) "Oh crap!"

Sylvia: "Don't worry I know all about demon hunting."

Seven: "Sylvia?!"

Sylvia: "I guess you haven't been trained enough. I've been trailing you after you left your mom's apartment."

Seven: "How do you know about hunting?!"

Sylvia: "That's because I'm a demon huntress I was your dad's hunting partner."

Seven: "No way..."

Sylvia: "You see your dad and I didn't hunt right away we trained before ever going out in the field. After all, we were just middle school kids at the time that was when he is getting his psychic powers."

Seven: "Really?"

Sylvia: "Yes, he always wanted to be a hunter but his parents your grandparents didn't want him to. They believed that psychic hunters would be in more danger than any other hunter."

Seven: "How come?"

Sylvia: "Demons find psychics more of a threat than they would any other hunters."

Seven: "Oh."

Sylvia: "I could use your help."

Seven: "Help?"

Sylvia: "Yes, I've been searching for a demon who has been making deals with people. If we send the demon back the deals will be nullified. Can you help me?"

Seven: "Oh sure."

Sylvia: "I appreciate it."

It is the next day Seven is walking in the hallway heading to his gym class.

Seven: "*yawns* I never understand why they have us going to gym class in the morning I'm not even fully awake yet. Huh?"

He went to the locker room and saw Matt.

Matt: "Damn... I forgot my gym clothes again." He looks around to make sure no one is around. "Okay, I left my gym clothes once again make my regular clothes my gym clothes."

He uses his magic to change his regular clothes to his gym clothes. Seven couldn't believe that his best friend was a warlock.

Seven: "What the hell man?!"

Matt: "Oh shit!"

Seven: "You're a warlock?!"

Matt: "Would you believe that it was an illusion?"

Seven: "Hell no!"

Matt: "Okay fine I'm a warlock."

Seven: "I can't believe you never told me that you're a warlock! When we were eight, I told you about my psychic powers you totally believe me! Well, that explains why you completely believe me."

Matt: "Hey I can't exactly causally say I'm a warlock."

Seven changed into his gym clothes and they went to gym class and sat on the bleachers since it was a free day.

Seven: "How long have you had your powers?"

Matt: "Ever since I was four, I found out that I came from a family of warlocks and witches."

Seven: "Really?"

Matt: "Yeah but I'm only half warlock."

Seven: "Half?"

Matt: "My dad's a warlock my mom's a normal human."

Seven: "Oh how come you never told me?"

Matt: "I didn't think you would believe in magic."

Seven: "Hey if psychics are real then hell so is magic."

Matt: "I never asked you this, but did you suddenly get your powers, or did you inherit your powers?"

Seven: "I inherit my powers from my dad."

Matt: "Did your mom ever know about your dad's power?"

Seven: "She knew about his premonition power, but she didn't think that I would inherit his power."

Matt stretches his arms out.

Matt: "Thank God it's Friday."

Seven: "I know right but I wish we didn't have gym so early in the morning."

Matt: "You have to admit it's a good thing."

Seven: "Huh?"

Matt: "After all, you don't have to shower when you're getting ready for school. You can just shower after gym since it's our first class of the day."

Seven: "You would say that."

After the class ended, they went to the locker room as Seven was changing into his clothes Matt saw his tattoo.

Matt: "When did you get a tattoo?!"

Seven: "Oh crap..."

Matt: "And yet you want to jump on my throat for not telling you that I'm a magic user."

Seven: "Yeah. Yeah."

Matt: "Wait a minute I recognize the symbol that's symbol strays off demons from possessing you. I've seen that symbol on jewelry in certain shops. I didn't know you could actually get it in a tattoo though. When did you get it?!"

Seven: "When I was staying at my uncle's he was the one who suggested I should get a tattoo."

Matt: "Really?!"

Seven: "Yeah."

Matt: "If your uncle knows what that symbol means does it mean that he's a hunter."

Seven: "He is a hunter an exorcist hunter."

Matt: "Holy shit! That's so cool!"

Seven: "Yeah."

After some time went by the school day ended and they were walking home.

Matt: "No archery meet today?"

Seven: "No none of the members couldn't make it today so the captain canceled the archery meet."

Matt: "Oh why would your uncle want you to get the tattoo anyway?"

Seven: "Because I'm a hunter myself well a demon hunter."

Matt: "Really?! That's hella cool! You're lucky."

Seven: "I am?"

Matt: "Yeah I always wanted to be a hunter, but my dad won't let me though."

Seven: "Why?"

Matt: "Because he thinks it's too dangerous for a magic user to be a hunter. I guess it's because my grandma was a huntress, and she was killed on the job."

Seven: "Really?!"

Matt: "Yeah, my dad never knew her she died when he was just a baby. Maybe he's just afraid that if I became a hunter then I may end up in the same fate my grandma did."

Seven: "Oh..." (Thinking: "I wonder if my mom would've been like that if she ever knew the truth about my dad.")

Matt: "What made you want to be a hunter?"

Seven: "Well without even knowing it at the time I'm following my dad's footsteps. He was a demon hunter himself."

Matt: "Impressive. Being a hunter in the bloodline for you then."

Seven: "Yeah."

Matt: "See you Monday."

Seven: "Later."

They go home and Seven is puzzled about helping Sylvia. He couldn't stop thinking about what she wanted him to help her with. He pulled out his phone and called Christiana about it.

Christiana: "Hello."

Seven: "Christiana! It's good to hear you again."

Christiana: "What is it, little boy?"

Seven: "I was wondering if you know anything about demons that make contracts."

Christiana: "What about it?"

Seven: "About a demon that makes deals."

Christiana: "And?"

Seven: "Well is it possible to kill the demon to nullify the deal?"

She is surprised to hear it.

Christiana: "It's impossible!"

Seven: "What?!"

Christiana: "Once you make a deal with a demon your fate is sealed to be damned in hell once you die. Most demons set a number of years for you to live but it's very rare for demons to let you live until you're old and gray."

Seven: "Really?!"

He couldn't believe what he heard.

Christiana: "Where did you hear this nonsense from?"

Seven: "An old hunting partner of my dad's. She told me about it when she mentioned that he died on the job."

Christiana: "It's obvious she is covering up something. Most likely the truth about your father's death."

He is in shock.

Seven: "I don't understand why she would do that?"

Christiana: "That's something you have to ask her after all don't you know the saying a wolf in sheep's clothing."

Seven: "Thanks for the information."

Christiana: "No problem."

They hung up their phones and Seven was filled with anger believing that Sylvia may have betrayed his dad and caused his death. Some time went by and it was eleven at night and Seven went to meet up with Sylvia.

Sylvia: "There you are I'm glad you came." He stood in silence looking down. "What's wrong Seven?"

Seven: "Nothing… Let's just get this over with…"

They walked into an abandoned building, and they went to hide and waited for the demon to be there. The demon went into the building and knew the two hunters were there waiting for him.

Alfred: "Come on out hunters don't worry I'm not going to run away."

They came out of hiding and the demon wasn't surprised to see Sylvia.

Sylvia: "Why are you just standing there? Use your arrow to make sure he doesn't escape."

Alfred: "I'm not going anywhere besides it's been so long since we last saw each other, Sylvia."

Seven: "What is he talking about?"

Sylvia: "Nothing!"

Alfred: "It had something to do with your dad."

Seven is in shock.

Sylvia: "Don't listen to him! Demons lie!"

Seven looks at her like she is the one lying.

Alfred: "Should I tell him the truth about what really happened to Nicholas Montague or should you?"

Sylvia stood in silence and Seven glared at her.

Seven: "I want to know the truth! Why did you bring me here?! Why did you lie about killing a demon to cancel a deal?!"

Sylvia: "What?!"

Seven: "I called a friend of mine, and she told me that it's impossible to cancel a deal with a demon. That means your story isn't true at all! What's the real story?!"

Sylvia: "I loved him…"

Seven: "Huh…."

Sylvia: "I was in love with your dad, but he only saw me as a friend…"

A flashback to 1831, it is nighttime when sixteen-year-old Nicholas is hunting for a demon at an abandoned site. As he is looking for the demon, he bumps into a nineteen-year-old Alice.

Young Alice: "Hey little boy what are you doing here?"

Nicholas: "Hey! I'm not a little boy, I'm only sixteen! And I should be asking the same thing what are you doing here?"

Young Alice: "I'm looking for answers for my missing friend. I haven't seen him in a couple of weeks."

Nicholas: "Him?"

Young Alice: "Yeah his girlfriend is really worried and so am I."

Nicholas: "Oh why don't you let the police handle it?"

Young Alice: "I prefer to do things myself besides the police are just looking into the other missing people."

Nicholas: (Thinking) "It's most likely that her friend was killed by a demon."

Young Alice: "Hey you never told me why you're here?"

The way she smiled caused him to blush.

Nicholas: "Oh I'm um... well I'm wondering about the missing people I thought I could help somehow."

Young Alice: "I see."

He looks down nervously and blushes.

Nicholas: "Hey um do you want to hang out some time you know have some coffee?"

She walks up to him.

Young Alice: "Let me see your hand." He gave her his hand and she wrote her number and name. "Here is my number give me a call when you want to have that coffee."

She walks off and he blushes when he sees her off; Sylvia walks up to him.

Young Sylvia: "There you are I was wondering why you were taking so long."

Nicholas: "Sy I think I have a crush."

Young Sylvia: "Really? Who is she?" (Thinking: "I hope it's me!")

He realized that he never got her name.

Nicholas: "Oh craaap! I didn't even ask her name! I'm such an idiot! Man…"

Young Sylvia: "Hm? What's that on your hand?"

Nicholas: "Oh that's right she gave me her number." He looks at the number and sees her name. "Alice that's her name."

Several weeks went by since the encounter. Nicholas and Alice are on a date.

Young Alice: "Hard to believe that we've been dating for quite some time."

Nicholas: "Maybe it was fate that brought us together."

Young Alice: "Fate?"

Nicholas: "Don't you think that encounters happen for a reason? You know how things happened for a reason."

Young Alice: "Hey did you grow up here?"

Nicholas: (Thinking: "She totally dodged the question.") "No, I'm from Crossing Town it's a small town."

Young Alice: "Really?"

Nicholas: "Yeah, I practically begged my parents to let me go to middle school out of state. I guess they were worried about their only son being on his own so young."

Young Alice: "Understandably, you are their only kid."

Nicholas: "What about you? Did you grow up here?"

Young Alice: "I did but my brother and I moved to Rhinestone City when I was fourteen. After I finished high school, I came back here while my brother stayed at Rhinestone City."

Nicholas: "How come he stayed behind?"

Young Alice: "He fell for this girl he met at his university."

Nicholas: "Ah so what about your parents?"

Young Alice: "Oh um..."

Nicholas: "I'm sorry I didn't mean to bring it up I didn't know they were dead."

Young Alice: "They're not dead well not that I'm aware of."

Nicholas: "Oh... What do you mean?"

Young Alice: "I'm not sure where they are... They abandoned my brother and me years ago when I was a kid. So, my brother pretty much had to take care of me."

Nicholas: "Sorry to hear about that."

Young Alice: "It's okay."

They continue talking and later in the night they leave the shop and Nicholas walks Alice back to the university.

Nicholas: "Time sure flies by when you're with the right person."

Young Alice: "So that means I'm the right person for you?"

Nicholas: "You can say that."

Young Alice: "We better get going before my dorm advisor blows a gasket."

Nicholas: "It's not even 11:00 yet."

Young Alice: "I know but she's always like that. Want to know something? When I first started university, I went to the library to cram on a physics quiz, and she wrote me up for being two minutes late."

Nicholas: "Really? You never left the campus, plus it was only two minutes; it's not the end of the world. She sounds like a pain in the ass."

Young Alice: "I know right."

As they are walking, she grabs him by the arm and pulls herself close to him. They both blush as their hearts skip a beat, starting to realize their feelings for each other. They make it to the university dorms and bump into the dorm advisor for the girls' dorms.

Dorm Advisor: "Hudson! You should be in your dorm by now! You know very well that visitors are not allowed at the dorms after six especially boys!"

Young Alice: "Relax Shanda this is the guy I'm dating he's just making sure I got back safely."

Dorm Advisor: "Honestly Hudson you clearly don't have any standards after all you're dating a fourteen-year-old."

Nicholas: "I'm not fourteen! I'm sixteen I'm in my second year in high school!"

Dorm Advisor: "You better be gone by the time I get back here."

She walks off.

Young Alice: "She can be a real pain."

Nicholas: "I know."

He sticks his tongue out in the direction where the dorm advisor walked.

Young Alice: "Would you believe that she's only a year older than me?"

Nicholas: "Really?!"

Young Alice: "Yeah she's twenty and I'm nineteen yet she's like a brat."

Nicholas: "I can't believe it."

Young Alice: "I should get going before the pain in the ass gets back here."

Just as she is about to go into the building, he grabs her by the wrist.

Nicholas: "Wait before you go."

He pulls her close to him and kisses her passionately. Sylvia is walking to the dorms to give Alice her jacket and sees them kissing; she is devastated but tries not to look like it as she turns around and leaves. The two stopped kissing and gazed into each other's eyes smiling and blushing.

Young Alice: "I never thought you would use tongue and I never knew I'm that good of a kisser."

Nicholas: "What are you talking about?"

Young Alice: "I hate to break this to you but I'm not that kind of girl."

Nicholas: "Huh?"

Young Alice: "*giggles* You were poking me." He realized what she meant and blushed out of embarrassment. "I thought you of all people wouldn't be hormonal I guess I was wrong."

Nicholas: "Hey! I'm not like that!"

She kissed him on the cheek.

Young Alice: "I'll see you tomorrow and by the way, a cold shower does the trick."

He continued to blush out of embarrassment as she went into the building to go to her dorm. It is the next day Sylvia and Nicholas were finishing a job and walking home.

Young Sylvia: "Hey Nicholas we've been friends for quite some time right?"

Nicholas: "Yeah."

Young Sylvia: "There's something I want to tell you."

Nicholas: "What is it?"

Young Sylvia: "I um…"

Nicholas: "Are you in some kind of trouble?!"

Young Sylvia: "No! I-I like you!"

Nicholas: "I like you too."

Young Sylvia: "Not like that! I love you, Nicholas, I always loved you ever since middle school."

Nicholas is a bit surprised.

Nicholas: "Sorry Sy but I don't feel the same way you do." She couldn't believe his response. "I just realized last night that I'm in love with Alice."

She put on a brave face.

Young Sylvia: "Oh I get it. I'm happy for you really, I am."

Sylvia: (In Narrative Tone) "In truth, I was hurting. I couldn't let go of my feelings for Nicholas. The next thing I knew I went to school every two days then it became once every three weeks finally I dropped out completely."

A year went by, and Nicholas was graduating high school. The graduation ceremony ended Sylvia was about to walk up to him, but Alice ran up to hug him.

Young Alice: "Oh I'm so proud of you!"

Nicholas: "Hey Alice I wanted to ask you something."

Young Alice: "What is it, baby?"

Nicholas: "I've been thinking about this for a few months now. I was going to ask you in August, but I figure now is a better moment. Alice, will you move in with me?"

Young Alice: "Move in?"

Nicholas: "You know sharing the same roof. Having my toothbrush next to yours."

Young Alice: "Nick I don't know what to say."

Nicholas: "You told me that you couldn't afford to stay at the dorms next term. I figured that you could live with me don't worry my apartment is paid in full, so we don't have to worry about rent."

Young Alice: "Are you sure we're ready for this? I mean it's a big step in our relationship!"

Nicholas: "I know, and I believe that we're ready for this!"

Young Alice: "I believe that too. Sure, let's move in together!"

They hugged each other and Sylvia couldn't believe what she overheard; feeling like she had been defeated.

Sylvia: (Narrative Tone) "I couldn't stand it seeing them being lovey-dovey all the time. Always seeing them holding hands when he walks her to her university every day. It was like I was losing my best friend. I pretty much started drinking just to make the pain go away then one night I met Alfred."

She is at a bar drinking her sorrows away and a man stops her by putting his hand over her glass.

Alfred: "A pretty girl such as yourself shouldn't be drinking like that."

Young Sylvia: "Why do you care?"

Alfred: "I can tell that you're only drinking because you want to make the pain go away. Come on let me take you home you shouldn't be out here so late."

They left the bar, and he took her home. As he takes her home, she tries to throw herself at him.

Young Sylvia: "Isn't this why you're being nice? For me to throw myself to you and you take advantage of it."

Alfred: "That's not it at all besides I don't sleep with drunk women anyways." He took her mobile and put in his number. "If you want to talk you can always call me."

A sequence of events happens as she recalls her past.

Sylvia: (Narrative Tone) "When I felt so lonely, I called Alfred, and he came to comfort me every time. Before I knew it, we became intimate unfortunately I couldn't let go of the feelings I had for Nicholas no matter how much I tried."

Three years have passed, and Alice is graduating from university. Nicholas and Sylvia are waiting for Alice.

Nicholas: "I'm glad that you can come Sy."

Young Sylvia: "It's no problem besides you said you had some big news."

Nicholas: "Yeah, I can't wait. Oh, there she is Alice!"

Alice runs up to them.

Young Alice: "Hey you guys can you believe it I finally got my Criminology degree!"

Nicholas: "I'm so proud of you!"

Young Alice: "What is it you wanted to tell me? You wanted to tell me this morning, but you wanted to wait until after the ceremony is over."

Young Sylvia: (Thinking) "I wonder what it could be? Is he going to break up with her? I hope so! Please let it be that he is going to break up with her! He must've realized that she's not the one for him!"

Nicholas: "Alice we've been together for four years now and they have been the best years I've ever spent with you. Honestly, I didn't think my first relationship would be my only one."

Young Alice: "Hm?!"

Young Sylvia: "Huh?!"

He got down on one knee and took the ring out.

Nicholas: "Alice Meredith Hudson will you marry me?"

Young Sylvia: "*mutters* What?! No?!"

Alice starts to cry out of joy.

Young Alice: "Yes of course I'll marry you!"

He puts the ring on her finger, and they kiss.

Sylvia: (Narrative Tone) "I couldn't bear it felt that my whole world was shattered hearing the news."

A couple of months went by, and Sylvia and Nicholas were finishing a job.

Nicholas: "Hey Sy."

Young Sylvia: "Yeah?"

Nicholas: "I want to let you know that our next hunt will be my last one."

Young Sylvia: "What?! Why?!"

Nicholas: "I am going to be married in December, but I don't want Alice to ever know about this life I live in. Besides, after I quit hunting, I'm going to enroll in university I'm not sure what I want to do now maybe I'll find out later."

Young Sylvia: "What about our team?!"

Nicholas: "I'm sure that the Trails council will find you a new partner, or you could hunt solo." Sylvia stood in silence about the news. "Hey, Sy, are you okay?"

Young Sylvia: "Oh I'm fine."

Nicholas: "I'll see you later Sy."

He went home and Sylvia went home devastated. She called Alfred and he came over to comfort her. She cries to him over what happened to her.

Young Sylvia: "Why? Why did he have to ask her to marry him? I'm going to lose my only friend."

Alfred: "You must be willing to do anything to have your best friend all to yourself. To have everything back to how it was huh."

Young Sylvia: "Yes…"

Alfred: "You must want to do anything to have your best friend back."

Young Sylvia: "Yes… I do…"

Alfred: "Well then." His eyes turned completely black, and she was completely shocked. "We have a deal."

Young Sylvia: "What?!"

Alfred: "Don't worry the deal won't be effective right away but you'll know when."

He vanished and she couldn't believe what had just happened.

Young Sylvia: "No! No! No! This can't be!"

A couple of days later Sylvia and Nicholas are meeting up at a coffee shop.

Nicholas: "Hey Sy."

Young Sylvia: "Hey it's been a while since we actually hung out."

Nicholas: "Yeah it has. Alice and I finally picked a date for our wedding."

Young Sylvia: "You have?"

Nicholas: "December 25."

Young Sylvia: "Christmas day? Why on that date?"

Nicholas: "Alice always wanted a Christmas wedding."

Young Sylvia: "Oh."

Nicholas: "I was wondering if you could be my best man well my best woman at the wedding."

Young Sylvia: "S-S-S-Sure…"

Nicholas: "That's good to hear. Hey, I better get going."

He gives her a friendly slap on her back and gets a premonition. He sees himself getting killed by a demon.

Young Sylvia: "Did you have a premonition?"

Nicholas: "I did."

Young Sylvia: "What did you see?"

Nicholas: "I saw myself getting killed."

Young Sylvia: "You had premonitions of your death before. You can prevent it just like before."

Nicholas: "Not like this."

Young Sylvia: "What do you mean?"

Nicholas: "My mom told me that if you get the same premonition of someone getting killed more than once. It means that person is meant to die there is no way to save that person."

She couldn't believe that she heard later on it was the beginning of the night Alice was getting ready to go to bed.

Nicholas: "Hey I'm going to work tonight."

Young Alice: "Now?"

Nicholas: "Not now at about 12:30 maybe one in the morning."

Young Alice: "Why so late?"

Nicholas: "I think it's the only time they could schedule for Sy and me to work."

Young Alice: "Oh."

Nicholas: "Don't worry tonight will be my last day working my traveling job. It's so I don't have to work those crazy hours anymore."

Young Alice: "That's good to hear baby at least you don't have to worry about going out so late at night." He kisses her passionately as he is about to lift her shirt up until she stops him. "Nick, what's wrong?"

She noticed the way he looked at her with gentle sad eyes.

Nicholas: "What do you mean?"

Young Alice: "The way you were looking at me it looked like you were sad to go to work."

Nicholas: "It's nothing baby I just want to make love to you that's all."

He gropes her gently on her breast.

Young Alice: (Thinking) "I wonder why he dodges the question."

They made passionate love half of the night passed and it was almost one in the morning. Nicholas is getting ready to hunt for the last time knowing that his life is going to end.

Nicholas: "I'm so sorry Alice... I'm not coming back home I'm going to die... I'm never going to have the chance to marry you... I hope you can forgive me for dying..."

He kisses her on the forehead and gets a premonition he sees Alice giving birth to a baby boy.

Young Alice: "It's just you and me now Seven."

The premonition furthers seeing Seven at the age of sixteen as a hunter.

Seven: "Go back to hell where you belong unholy demon!"

He uses Nicholas' bow and arrow to send the demon back to hell then the premonition ends.

Nicholas: "Oh my God... Alice... She's pregnant! That explains why she wasn't feeling well the past few weeks. She... She must not have known yet..."

He went to meet up with Sylvia to hunt the demon.

Young Sylvia: "There you are."

Nicholas: "Sy..."

Young Sylvia: "What's wrong?"

Nicholas: "Sy Alice is pregnant."

Young Sylvia: "What?!"

Nicholas: "I got a premonition when I kissed Alice on her forehead. I saw her giving birth to my son Seven."

Young Sylvia: "Your son..."

Nicholas: "Alice doesn't know she doesn't know that she's a few weeks pregnant. My son is never going to see me... He'll never have a memory of me..." He sheds tears. "I won't get to hold my baby boy in my arms... I'll never get to see him grow up... I won't be there for any important milestones in his life... I just wish I could change my fate just so I could be in his life..." He wipes the tears off his face. "Since I'm going to die tonight, I'll go out as a hunter."

They went inside the abandoned building to find the demon. They pull out their weapons and split up to find the demon. The demon lies in wait for them and starts to attack Nicholas. He dodges the attacks and uses his bow and arrow and shoots at the demon's arm.

Alfred: "Argh! You bastard!"

Nicholas: "Alright demon this ends now!"

He uses his bow and arrow and is about to shoot but it is revealed that the demon used an illusion. The actual demon attacks from behind and stabs Nicholas in the back. Nicholas coughs up blood and falls onto the ground.

Young Sylvia: "NOOO!!!!!" Sylvia runs up to him. "Nicholas! Come on Nicholas! Stay with me!"

Nicholas: "Hey Sy... Please don't tell Alice how I really died... Just tell her we were in an accident and that you were the only survivor... I don't want Alice to ever know the truth about my trade... Please don't tell her I found out about her pregnancy... Tell her that she meant the world to me, and I love her so much..."

Young Sylvia: "Nicholas?" He closed his eyes and died. "No... No... NOOOO!!!!!!! You can't be dead!!!!!"

She cries her eyes out.

Alfred: "This is what you wanted."

Young Sylvia: "No it's not! This isn't what I wanted!"

Alfred: "You didn't want him to get married."

Young Sylvia: "I thought he would change his mind about Alice I didn't mean for him to die!"

Alfred: "Sixteen."

Young Sylvia: "Sixteen what?"

Alfred: "I'll give you sixteen years to live after that well you know what that means."

The flashback ends and it's back to the present.

Sylvia: "I didn't mean for it to happen... I didn't even know that he was a demon... It's not like I wanted to make a deal! I just wanted things back to how it was used to be!"

Seven couldn't believe what he heard. He was in complete shock when he found out the truth about his dad's death.

Alfred: "Oh poor little Seven he lost his dad just because his hunting partner was in love with him. You should have seen the desperation in Sylvia's eyes she was willing to do anything to have him to herself. Sadly, she didn't know that you can't always get what you want she didn't even know the way to stop the love birds from getting married was to-"

Seven uses his bow and arrow and shoots at the demon's heart.

Seven: "Just hearing you talk made my blood boil... Sending you back to hell where you belong is the only thing to get you to stop talking."

A fire circle appears, and four arms are covered in blood and take the demon to hell.

Alfred: "NOO!!! DON'T TAKE ME!!!!! NOOO!!!!!"

Sylvia: "Seven I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to get him killed... I was young and stupid I didn't think he was going to be killed like that..."

Seven: "You have no idea how your selfish deal affected my family! I didn't ask my mom about my dad until I was five years old! I asked her how come everyone else had a dad, but I didn't. She told me that he died in an accident before he ever knew about me! That night I heard my mom crying her eyes out it made me realize that she loved him so much and it hurts her if I ever bring it up! After that, I don't ever ask about him not even his name because I knew it would hurt her if I asked about him!"

Sylvia: "I really am sorry about it! Alice lost the love of her life, and I lost my best friend!"

Seven: "All you were thinking about was yourself... You couldn't bear the fact that my dad was happy and in love with another woman and not you!"

Sylvia: "I know... I just... I just hope that you can forgive me."

Seven: "A friend of mine told this there are those who deserve forgiveness and those who don't! You clearly don't deserve forgiveness from me!"

Sylvia: "I understand... I tried everything I could to make it up to him I went to every witch and warlock I knew. I hope that one of them could send me back in time to stop the deal from ever happening but..."

Seven: "But what?"

Sylvia: "They all refused they all said the same thing. You can't mess with the timeline even if it's just to prevent someone's death. The flow of time shouldn't be messed with in any circumstances."

She looked at her phone for the time and saw that her time was up. She grabs her chest realizing that she is having a heart attack.

Seven: "What's wrong?!" (Thinking: "Don't tell me that her years are up.")

Her heart completely stops she is on the ground and dies from a heart attack. Her spirit appears right next to her body.

Sylvia: "That's how I go out huh?"

Seven: "Huh?!"

Sylvia: "You can see me? You really are Nicholas' son he always told me that he can see the dead."

A black shadow as fog appears then a man comes out to get Sylvia.

Lucifer: "I see making a deal to get the man you wanted but it completely backfired didn't it."

Seven: "Who are you?!"

Lucifer: "Who do you think kid?"

Seven: "Lu-Lucifer?!"

Lucifer: "You're a sharp one kid."

Seven: "What are you going here?! I thought when you die Death takes you away not the prince of darkness!"

Lucifer: "That's true but if a human makes a deal with a demon their soul belongs to me."

He snapped his fingers and the fire circle appeared, and four arms were covered in blood and took Sylvia to hell. As the arms take her, she screams in terror.

Seven: "Wait I thought that…"

Lucifer: "The gate would appear well again it's different when a human makes a deal with a demon. By the way, we met before, and we'll meet again."

He snaps his fingers and disappears.

Seven: "What did he mean by we met before?" He went to a nearby phone booth and called 911 pretending to panic. "Hello, 911! I was walking when I saw a woman dead! I was about to use my mobile phone, but the battery died! Please hurry!!"

He left the scene quickly before the ambulance and the police came in. The ambulance and police arrived to retrieve the body.

Police Officer 1: "I can't believe that a woman in her thirties would have a heart attack."

Police Officer 2: "Maybe she might have a history of heart problems."

Police Officers 3: (Thinking) "Or she made a deal with a demon…"

It is the next day in the early afternoon Seven and his mom headed to the cemetery to visit his dad.

Seven: "Hey mom what was dad like?"

Alice: "Hm? I didn't think you wanted to know. How come you're asking now?"

Seven: "Well I always wanted to know but I know how sad you get if I mention him... So, I never asked."

Alice: "Let's see... He was a nice man he always knew how to make me smile even when I was having a bad day. He used to do parlor tricks all the time and I could never find out how he did it."

Seven: (Thinking) "Parlor tricks? He must've used his psychic powers."

Alice: "When I first met him, I used to tease him by calling him a little boy he always gets irritated by that."

Seven makes an irritating look because it reminds him that Christiana always calls him that.

Seven: (Thinking) "I know the feeling Dad..."

Alice: "That's the same look he always made."

Seven: "Huh?"

Alice: "Sweetie you're looking more like your dad every day."

Seven: "I am?"

Alice: "Yes. You know your dad was on the archery team when he was in high school."

Seven: "He was?"

Alice: "Yes, he was captain of the team for all his three years in high school. He was the first freshman to be captain of the team."

Seven: "Wow." (Thinking: "I wonder if he would have taught me archery if he was still alive.")

They made it to Nicholas' gravestone which reads Nicholas Anthony Montague June 30, 1814 – July 15, 1834.

Alice: "Hey Nick it's been a long time since we came here. The last time we came here Seven was just a baby. I wish you could see him now he's becoming more like you every day. If only I knew beforehand, I was pregnant, then you would have known about him before you died... You died before ever knowing you were going to be a dad... I know you would have been a wonderful dad to our son..."

She starts to cry.

Seven: (Thinking) "I wish could tell Mom that he already knew about me... He foresaw me before he went hunting that night..."

Alice: "Our son is special he can see into the future. I'm not sure how but I'm sure that not a lot of people would have that gift. Maybe he inherited it from one of your descendants."

Seven: (Thinking) "If only she knew that he was a psychic..."

She stops crying.

Alice: "I hope you're watching over us, Nick. I will always love you..."

Seven: "Mom... I think I would want to be alone with Dad."

Alice: "Okay sweetie I'm going to be working today I'll let you know when I'm coming home."

She left the cemetery and Seven stood in front of his dad's grave unable to stop feeling what he does for his dad.

Seven: "I know I shouldn't feel this way but I do... It's like I'm at a stranger's grave but you're my dad... I feel guilty for feeling this way you're my dad and I should be sad but I'm not... If only I met you... If only I had one memory of you but..."

Ray: "You're not the first one to feel that way."

Seven: "Ray? What are you doing here?"

Ray: "Let's just say I owed a hunter a favor."

Seven: "What do you mean? Who do you owe?"

Nicholas: "That would be me."

Seven is shocked at the voice he hears.

Seven: (Thinking) "No way!"

He turned around to see his dad's spirit.

Nicholas: "Hey there son."

Seven: "D-D-Dad?!"

Nicholas: "You grew up exactly how I predicted."

Ray: "By the way, you have until sunset to be here."

Ray vanishes and Seven and his dad talk about each other getting along with one another.

Nicholas: "You actually went back in time?!"

Seven: "Yeah, I was only sent back five years in the past to help Christiana with a demon. Before that, she and her friends helped me train to be a hunter."

Nicholas: "Sounds to me that you like this Christiana a lot, don't you?"

Seven is shocked and blushes out of embarrassment.

Seven: "What?! No way! She's like an older sister to me besides she's married to a vampire."

Nicholas: "I see are you worried about her?"

Seven: "Well yes... She's pregnant and well... She's the first human to have a vampire's child and there's a possibility that she might not survive giving birth to a vampire's child."

Nicholas: "Your grandparents told me that your grandma my mom nearly lost her life to bring me to this world. The doctor told her that there was a possibility that if she had another child, she might die giving birth. My mom even saw her death but she somehow prevented it."

Seven: "Oh..."

Nicholas: "I know how you feel. Not sure how to feel for someone who is blood-related and whom you don't know. My parents took me to visit my big sister's grave she was six years old when she was killed by a demon my mom was hunting. After that, she gave up hunting because she didn't want anything to happen to my dad and me. I didn't know how to feel about it she's my big sister and all but I never met her I didn't know anything about her... It's okay to feel that way I understand how you felt. It doesn't make you a bad person to feel that way."

Seven: "Thanks for saying that Dad." He checked his phone to see what time it was and noticed how the time went by. "Whoa, I didn't realize that much time went by."

Nicholas: "It's time for me to go… To think my own son would be a demon hunter without even knowing I was one myself. I'll always be watching over you in heaven. I'm proud of you son."

Nicholas vanished and Seven cried about his dad for the first time in his life.

Seven: "Now… I finally met you… I finally have a memory of you… Dad…"
