Chapter 83 – Blizzard Spear Dance

"Get in formation quickly! We have to take care of it to help the others!" Alexei's voice woke up the team members around him.

Gaheris moved forward, changing shape to meet the Ice Cloud Lion as the others quickly positioned themselves around it.

"Yukionna's Blessing!"

A blue aura passed through the team, empowering their ability.

Caitlyn suddenly rushed forward, passing Gaheris, who was supposed to catch the Ice Cloud Lion's attention. Her movements were rushed, the crystal essence inside her body was unstable, but she continued to move forward without stopping.

Her eyes filled with rage at every step that brought her closer to the Ice Cloud Lion. An icy mist began to surround her ice sword.

"Bastard! Lower Your Ice Wall!! Ice Edge!!"

The Ice Cloud Lion's eyes locked on her, its paw moving, falling on Caitlyn, who struck with her sword at the same time.

Blood spilled from Caitlyn's lips as she used all of her crystal essence in her sword swing, barely managing to resist the Ice Cloud Lion's attack.

Her arms quickly tired from the strain, and the sword in her hands started to crack as a shadow passed her. A long spear as white as snow hit the Ice Cloud Lion's shoulder, leaving a deep wound and pushing it back, allowing Caitlyn to step away from it.

Anna appeared next to her with a long white spear in her hands. Her cold eyes fell on Caitlyn as her voice echoed in her ears.

"Calm down. Kieran is on the other side."

"Thank you..." muttered Caitlyn.

Anna's words succeeded in calming her, she stepped back into the formation while taking a potion to recover her depleted crystal essence.

*roars*

The Ice Cloud Lion roared, its gaze fixed on Anna as clouds of ice mist rose around it.

Anna tightened her grip on her spear as she rushed forward to meet the Ice Cloud Lion. Her fighting style had changed since her advancement to Silver rank. She was no longer content to create ice spears from afar.

Ice Spikes shot out of the ground, trying to impale Anna, who easily dodged them with a small step. Her speed was nowhere near Kieran's, but she moved between the Ice Cloud Lion's attacks as if she could predict where each one would appear.

Her movements were incredible as she moved freely through all the ice spikes to reach the Ice Cloud Lion.

Remembering the pain it had from her previous attack, the Ice Cloud Lion went into a defensive position upon seeing Anna approaching it. Clouds of ice mist swirled around it, forming a protective wall of ice.

Anna began to run faster, the end of her spear shining with a cold light that seemed able to pass through anything. She leaped into the air, dodging another ice spike that erupted from the ground and hit the wall with her spear. A freezing shock wave rippled across the surface, letting cracks appear in the ice wall.

The Ice Cloud Lion roared in rage upon seeing its defense shattered. It jumped forward, ready to attack Anna, but she quickly dodged and rolled to the side. She scrambled to her feet and thrust her spear into the ground.

"Piercing Ice Spears"

Spears of ice erupted from the ground around the Ice Cloud Lion, temporarily trapping it. Anna took this opportunity to leap forward and drive her spear into the Ice Cloud Lion's flank.

*roars*

The Ice Cloud Lion roared in pain and tried to struggle, but Anna had already jumped back, out of its reach.

The sound of a shot was heard in the cave. At the same time, a bullet of ice hit the Ice Cloud Lion's temple, attracting its attention.

A 3 meters tall white bear appeared in the Ice Cloud Lion's vision, along with a pair of claws made of ice that sliced off one side of its head, leaving only a shallow mark on its thick skin that made it roar in anger.

Several shards of ice formed in the ice clouds around the Ice Cloud Lion before being fired toward Gaheris. A blue aura surrounded the ice shards, reducing their power as daggers made entirely of water intercepted them before they could reach Gaheris.

"Keep attacking him!! Don't let him move freely!"

Alexei, who was surrounded by dozens of water daggers, shouted at his team members while using his daggers to restrain the ice shards that the Ice Cloud Lion created momentarily.

Caitlyn, who had recovered enough of crystal essence, avoided the Ice Cloud Lion to attack its side, swinging her sword as hard as she could.
Caitlyn's expression twisted as her sword slammed into the Ice Cloud Lion's hard skin, her arms shaking in pain from the shock, but she didn't lose her composure this time and quickly pulled away from the Ice Cloud Lion.

The next moment ice spikes shot out where she had been standing a second ago.

A cold sweat ran down Caitlyn's back as she thought about what would have happened if she didn't take that step back.

Anna quickly appeared next to the Ice Cloud Lion, who recognized her as the one who had injured it, its attention entirely focused on her again.

"Beast Cry!"

A deep roar came from the body of Gaheris, who was in his white bear form. The Ice Cloud Lion's attention shifted again, forgetting Anna, who was only a few meters away from it, staring only at Gaheris.

Anna took a step forward, tightening her grip on her spear, her cold eyes showing no emotion as the air around her seemed to freeze, and snowflakes began to fall.

"Blizzard Spears Dance."

One by one, spears of ice began to form around her, and an icy blue aura engulfed the spear she held in her hands as she took her second step, then another...

Like an incredibly complex and graceful dance, her every move was fluid and precise, her spear moving through her hands effortlessly, performing multiple thrusts and spins.

With each swirl and thrust, a storm of ice spears floating around her headed toward the Ice Cloud Lion. Trails of frost were left behind each of the ice spears. The Ice Cloud Lion, caught off guard by the relentless onslaught, roared in fury as the ice spears pierced his thick skin with ease.

The Blizzard Spears Dance continued unabated, Anna's footsteps in sync with the ethereal dance of ice spears crashing down on the Ice Cloud Lion, who saw its vision blurred and its massive body slowly encased in a layer of frost despite its high affinity with the element of ice.
Yet the Ice Cloud Lion did not intend to die without doing anything. All the clouds of ice mist scattering around the cave were attracted towards it, forming a huge wall of ice and ice spikes that attacked Anna from all sides.

But before they could reach her, she gracefully slipped away from the ice spikes as if dancing freely around them without them being able to restrain her.

Her grip on her spear changed. The spearhead was close to the ground while the end was raised, ready for a thrusting attack. All of the ice spears floating around her were suddenly pulled together and merged with the spear in her hands.

A powerful freezing energy erupted from the spear as she thrust forward.

It was as if the world froze for a moment. The spear pierced the ice wall of the Ice Cloud Lion. The frozen tip did not stop and pierced its body until it pierced its heart.

The Ice Cloud Lion roared one last time, a cry of mourning echoing through the cave before collapsing to the cold ground.

Kieran arrived with the others to see the incredible scene of the Ice Cloud Lion being pierced by an ice spear.

"Looks like our help isn't needed," whispered Kieran.

A slight smile appeared on his face when his expression suddenly darkened as his gaze was directed toward the dark tunnel at the end of the cave.

*ROAR!!!!*

A mighty roar shook the entire cave as an unseen pressure fell on each team member.
