With this, the first part of the story is over. Thank you so much for reading the story this far!

As I said before, I will be taking a break before serializing season 2. That could mean days to more than a year because of life, so I kindly ask for your understanding. Consider following me to get updates when I release the next part of the story.

Also, thank you so much to the people who have supported me on Patreon. I have slowed down a lot on my writings and must have let you, my patrons, down. However, please know that you allowed me to continue writing this far when I could easily use my time elsewhere. I appreciate your support and will still publish the stories there from time to time when it’s ready, even if it’s not daily.

Through creating this, I’ve learned a lot about writing, myself, and the readers. I enjoyed reading the comments and the polls. I also liked interacting with you and tried to reply to all comments on all sites. However, I couldn’t reply to everything especially if you’re reading this in a forum. For that, I apologize, but please know that I appreciate all of your responses, whether they are positive or not.

Now that I’ve said my impressions and thoughts, let’s talk about Isekai Defense.

This novel was originally inspired by a Korean novel [“Dungeon Defense” by Yoo Heonhwa]. Especially the first few chapters of the story. But rather than the plot, I mainly tried to adapt the writing style itself. Like the dramatic writing, deep characters, first-person POV, and more. I wanted to write something much lighter than that novel, but somehow, my writing turned into a rom-com somewhere along the line, lol.

After season 1, I planned to write a slice-of-life arc where MC and Arte just train to get stronger and enjoy life, without advancing the plot too much. But the main story alone is enormous. So I will refrain or writing this slice-of-life arc as a separate story instead.

In the main story:

- We have 2 more main heroines, each with their arc.

- A reunion with Bianca.

- Story about MC’s past.

- Getting involved with the demons and sub-characters (like Eliza and the original hero party members).

- Until finally the otherworld monsters’ invasion began in earnest.

It’s a long journey and I hope you will continue to enjoy the story from here on too. Thank you again for reading this far.
