Chapter 27:

Chapter 25 “Farewell fair, Cruelty.“

I saw a portal, so I entered it and I became the hero of prophecy

Standing before them was a god who was said to have saved and protected humanity from extinction.

A god who was trapped and confined because of his kindness and innocence.

A god that Cecilia had wanted to free...

“Kehehehe... How is it? Don't you want to worship me Cecilia? Am I not the god you were hoping for? Kehehehe....”

That god, looked very different from what Cecilia had previously been told, even from the way he spoke everyone could tell that he was not a kind and wise god like the god she knew.

“This... Impossible! What have you done! Wallace!” Cecilia snapped at the horned monster.

“Huh? Wallace?” muttered the young man.

“Kehehehe... Good, good! If you figure it out then it looks like I won't have to explain who I really am. That's right! As you may have guessed, I am Wallace! The hero who will save this world! Kuhahaha!” The monster laughed.

“Hey, Cecilia... What's the meaning of this? Why are you calling him Wallace? Haven't I been Wallace all this time?” the young man asked.

“...”

But Cecilia just remained silent without even looking at the young man.

“Hey Cecilia...” Called the young man.

“........”

But still Cecilia continued to ignore him.

“Cecilia! Answer me!”

********

Let's go back to where it all began. From a future that has become the past.

Hundreds or thousands of years ago according to the age of Cecilia's memory, precisely after Cecilia died from being pierced by Marie's spear.

Cecilia, who was still a teenager at that time, was assigned to find a plant ordered by Yzak in the middle of this very lush and dense forest.

After searching for so long, Cecilia finally found the plant she was looking for.

“Yes! I finally found it! I can't wait to give it to Mr. Yzak, surely with plants of this good quality he will definitely give me a bonus! Wait for me Sherina, because your sister will bring delicious food from the holy city for you!” Cecilia said excitedly.

But before Cecilia managed to pick the plant she felt something odd in her head.

“Huh? What is this...?”

Suddenly her head hurt so much that it felt like it was being pressed and crushed from all directions.

“Khkk! Aaaa! AAaaaAAAaaA!!! My head! It hurts!” Cecilia moaned while holding her head.

“AaaaAaaAaA! Why!? What's going on!? Why does my head suddenly feel like it wants to explode!”

While enduring all the pain that attacked her brain, Cecilia's slender body then fell to the forest floor while writhing like a maggot on fire.

“AaaAAAaAaaa!!! Am I going to die like this!?”

“Father... Mother... Help me...” Cecilia whimpered in a voice so low that not even the slightest living creature could hear it.

And after feeling the most excruciating pain in her life, Cecilia's body finally relaxed and did not move a bit.

“Friends...”

“...Because of your sacrifices, it seems that once again I have managed to transmit my memories to my past self! But...”

“Ganel, Baldwin, Kalina, everyone...”

“This time I will make sure all your sacrifices are not in vain!”

After all the pain had disappeared and her body condition had also returned to normal, Cecilia immediately stood up and cleaned all the grass and dry leaves that stuck to her clothes.

“Wait for me, because I will see you all soon!” Cecilia said.

Not forgetting Cecilia then picked the plants she had previously found and stored them in her bag carefully.

Armed with all the memories she had gotten from the future. Now with a tough look Cecilia set out to gather all her friends who would fight in the future with her.

For months Cecilia gathered all her friends in arms.

And for years they all practiced and gathered all the information.

And finally came the moment they were waiting for, the moment when the seal that confined their god was weakened.

Bravely Cecilia and her friends and troops raised their flag again.

Unlike before, now Cecilia did not hesitate to attack even though death and moaning were on her right and left.

But unfortunately the battle was again won by Wallace's army and their seven legendary knights.

Immediately Cecilia performed her ritual again to send all her memories back in time.

The teenage Cecilia opened her eyes and found that she was currently lying in the middle of the holy city.

“I... Back?” Asked Cecilia while looking up at the bright afternoon sky.

“Hmm, what do you mean, back from where? Anyway, are you currently okay? You're not sick, right? It could be bad if you get sick right now, because we still have a lot of work to do.” Said Marie who had been standing next to Cecilia who was still lying down.

“... Marie!? You!”

Immediately Cecilia stood up and pulled Marie's collar and beat Marie's face until her lips and face were cut and torn.

“Cecilia!? What's going on!? Why are you beating me up!? What did I do wrong!?” Marie snapped.

“You! Because of you! All this is because of you!” Cecilia snapped like a madman and continued to beat Marie until she collapsed.

The skin on Cecilia's fist was torn and full of blood, while under her feet lay the body of a woman whose face was covered in blood and bruises.

Everyone in the holy city gathered to see the incident, and soon the two Bishops ordered the holy city guards to surround and beat the rampaging Cecilia until she fainted on the spot.

After making sure if Cecilia really fainted. The two bishops then immediately threw Cecilia into the underground prison.

Less than an hour after Cecilia beat Marie in the middle of the city, Cecilia opened her eyelids and found that she was now in prison.

“This is... Prison? Why am I in prison!? This is wrong! I'm not wrong! This all happened because of that bastard woman! Let me go! Hey guards! Let me go!” Cecilia snapped.

Then two guards walked over and approached Cecilia's cell.

“Hey look, the stump is awake.” Said one of the guards to the friend standing next to him.

“Hahaha! Seeing her wriggling like that feels disgusting! Hahaha!” Mocked his friend.

“The stump?” Muttered Cecilia who then took a look at her limbs.

“Khhk! It hurts! What the... My legs!? My hands!? Where!? Where are my legs and my hands!? Wha... What have you done to me!? HaAAAaaaAahHH! Help me! Anyone please help me!” Cecilia hysterically screamed with blood flowing from her four severed limbs.

“Tsk! So noisy! Shut up you sinner!”

Then with his wooden stick the guard hit Cecilia's head until it bled.

Cecilia fell to the floor while looking at her own blood that had soaked the floor.

“Wow... You went too far, now it look like she's going to die soon.” Said one of the guards.

“...I don't care. Let's just tell the superiors that she died because she committed suicide.” Said the guard who had hit Cecilia's head.

“Good idea! Then let me help you, because of this sinner's actions... Marie finds it increasingly difficult to care for her sick mother.”

Then without thinking, the two prison guards beat Cecilia's broken body.

While continuing to endure the pain and consciousness, Cecilia drank her own blood and bit her lips.

“I have to... Go back! Because I still haven't done anything yet!”

With her strong determination and persistence, Cecilia once again performed her ritual to send her memories back in time.

“Sister?” Asked Sherina who had brought her face closer to Cecilia.

“UWAAAAAAA! Get away from me!” Snapped Cecilia who immediately without thinking pushed Sherina's body until she slammed backwards.

“Ouch! Waaa! Mom! Sister Cecilia threw me to the floor! Waaa!!!” Sherina screamed.

Immediately her mother Cecilia came out of the kitchen and approached her two daughters who were currently in the living room.

“Go away from me! Go away from me! Go away from me! Go away! WaaaAAAAAaaa!” Cecilia screamed.

“What happened to her? Why did Cecilia suddenly become like this?” Asked her father who had just come from the garden.

“I don't know. Did you do something to her Sherina?”

“No, Sister Cecilia was just day dreaming and then suddenly started screaming like a crazy person, even though Sherina didn't do anything! I swear!” Sherina replied.

“Hmm... Then let me call the healer in this village. Maybe he can treat her.” Cecilia's father said.

Then immediately Cecilia was examined by the healer and then the healer said that Cecilia seemed to have experienced severe stress or in other words she was currently crazy.

The healer's words made the whole family and villagers tremble and upset.

Cecilia who had once been said to be the reincarnation of a Priestess who would free their god had now gone mad.

“This is doom!”

“This is ordeal!”

“This is destiny!”

“We will no longer be able to free our god! And our only hope has also gone mad! Now what do we do! We can't go on living like this forever!”

“Calm down! We can still fight without our priestess! As long as we can take control of the false holy city then we will gain our freedom! So let us prepare to attack and take control of it!”

But of course it all failed, because although at that time the seven knights were still teenagers but their strength was much higher than other adults. And not to forget the emperor's fortress and army that guarded the holy city so strongly.

The village of Cecilia was quickly burned and scorched, the hopeless battle ended in failure.

Amidst the chaos, a small child was left running while pulling the hand of a messy red-haired teenage girl.

“ Sister... Let's run away from this place... Sherina... doesn't want to live alone in this world... So even if you're in this condition, Sherina will definitely take care of you!” Sherina said while running to pull her dazed sister's hand.

But unfortunately because their footsteps were so slow, the troops eventually found them.

“Sir! I saw the two remaining sinners! They're running towards the cursed forest!”

“Prepare the arrows! Shoot them! Don't let any sinner manage to live by escaping from this place! Shoot!”

With just one shot of the rain of arrows, Sherina and Cecilia finally fell to the ground.

“Sis... Sis... Help... It hurts... It... It hurts... Help me... Sister...” Sherina moaned weakly.

Feeling her small hand clutching her fingers slowly relax, Cecilia began to gain a bit of consciousness.

“...What should I do?”

“.......”

“...Whatever, someday there will definitely be a way. The important thing is that right now I have to...”

“.........”

“.......”

“....”

“Send this curse to my next self.”

That event continued to happen for countless times. Her family, her friends, herself, all of them, had always been killed by that predetermined fate.

Until finally Cecilia began to ask herself...

“What exactly is it that I want to pursue?”

Standing atop the mountain, Cecilia gazed at the forest, village, and holy city below.

“This is... Stupid. It seems like there's no harm in trying something else instead of me having to keep losing everything.” Muttered Cecilia who then tore the cloth of her sleeves and tied it to her eyes.

“I will sacrifice this life so that my next self will no longer have to feel the pain and vengeance of this curse in the form of a my memory.”

And Cecilia, who had now closed both eyes, then lived her life without the slightest interaction with a single person in her world.

She honed her abilities, senses, and strength so that she who would receive her memories later no longer needed to learn to master and know everything.

Until finally in her old age, Cecilia, who had now become an old woman, opened both of her blindfolds.

Although she was surprised by the conditions that occurred in her world after she opened her blindfold, but she remained confident in her stance.

“Cecilia, my past self. Accept and end this curse of yours, let's prevent all these events that are before my eyes.”

“...May you be the last.”

Immediately the old Cecilia performed her ritual to send her memories back to the past.
