Chapter 37:
I saw a portal, so I entered it and I became the hero of prophecy
The young man opened his eyelids and found that he was now lying on his very comfortable soft bed.
"This is... the familiar ceiling of her house." The young man muttered
"So you're finally awake, Sleepyhead." Cecilia said while carrying two cups of tea and approached the young man who had just woken up.
"Cecilia!? Are you okay!? What about your wound!?" Asked the young man who immediately stood up and approached Cecilia.
"Hmm? Wound? Oh about that huh? It's fine now. Hmm... How about we get out from this little house first? Aren't you bored because you have to keep breathing the air of my stuffy room?" Said Cecilia who then thrust her tea cup to the young man's lips.
Without thinking, the young man immediately sipped the tea that was thrust into his mouth by Cecilia, the tea that went down through his throat felt very delicious and refreshed his soul again.
Then the young man accepted his tea cup and replied to Cecilia's question.
"No problem, as long as this stuffiness comes from the scent of your body." The young man replied.
"What a freak." replied Cecilia with a small smile.
"Then what did you say before? Get out? To where? And what about those knights?" Asked the young man.
"Don't worry, we've both got it under control. Come quickly, I can't wait to show you face to everyone!" Invited Cecilia who ran and pulled the young man's hand.
"Hey, slow down! My tea might spill!" Said the young man who also ran out while keeping the tea in his cup from spilling.
Cecilia immediately opened the door of her house and found all the villagers and humans he didn't even know had been waiting and welcoming the appearance of their hero.
"Congratulations and thank you for your struggle!" The villagers said simultaneously.
"Huh?" Asked the young man with a look of astonishment on his face.
"Oh, so that's what our hero looks like? Not bad!" Said a large man who carried a large axe on his shoulder.
"Hey, Ganel, it looks like that young man has managed to snatch Cecilia away from you." Mocked Marie to a man with a sword on his back who was standing beside her.
"...Well, what can I do? Even now I still feel guilty for making Cecilia go through all this suffering." Ganel replied.
"Humph! Don't be such a pathetic man! Look at him! He can be like that because he's my student! So, do you want me to educate you to be like him?" Adel exclaimed.
"Whoa! Hey Adel! You were equally as awesome as him back then!" Marie praised while ruffling Adel's hair.
"Hehehehe..." Adel laughed while puffing out his chest.
Seeing the crowd of villagers gathered before him, the young man looked at Cecilia.
"These people..."
"Yes, they are all the people you have saved." Said Cecilia who was still looking at the sea of people who gathered in front of her small house.
"Everyone! Let's party to celebrate our victory!" Shouted the man with the axe as he raised the glass filled with beer towards the sky.
Immediately, the entire sea of people shouted and laughed to start their big party.
In the middle of the party, the young man's hand was suddenly pulled by a woman with long black hair and they both ran to the outskirts of a quiet village.
"...Kalina? Is that you?" Asked the young man while continuing to run with the woman who pulled his hand.
The woman then stopped her footsteps and looked at the young man standing behind her.
"Of course it's me! Who else would it be!?" Kalina snapped.
"Mmm... Sorry... I was..."
Before the young man could finish his sentence, Kalina immediately hugged the young man's body tightly.
"Kalina?" Asked the young man.
"I'm sorry big bro! Because I couldn't protect you! And I couldn't take care of you either! If I hadn't trusted them back then, maybe I could have protected you and lived together with you! But... I don't want you to live in poverty in that village!" Kalina screamed as she hugged and cried into his body.
The young man sighed, then he gently stroked Kalina's head while returning Kalina's hug.
"Thank you Kalina, and I also want to apologize to you, forgive me for lying to you back then and forgive me if I didn't trust you back then. If at that time I had asked you to leave the holy city, maybe you would have gotten the same happiness as me. I'm sorry." The young man said.
"Mmm-mm, this is the fate and this is the path, we just have to keep going and go through it until finally our souls and bodies are weakened by it. But in a miserable world like this... We must also not forget the joy and happiness that is spread around it." Said Kalina who slowly released her embrace.
"Kalina, you... It seems that you are indeed very unsuitable to speak like a philosopher." The young man mocked.
"Hey-hey-hey! What kind of person do you think I'm supposed to be, a Princess? Hahahaha! Stop joking!" Kalina replied with a big grin.
"So... Kalina, now what do you want to do? Are you going to stay with me in this place?" Asked the young man.
Kalina shook her head.
"No, I want to walk. I want to walk ahead to learn and understand everything in this world. And also... My brother and family seem to be waiting for me out there." Kalina replied.
"Brother? Did you perhaps realize it?" the young man asked with a little bit of surprise on his face.
"Of course! What kind of idiot am I that I can't tell the difference between my brother's face and yours right now?" asked Kalina as she pointed her makeup mirror at him.
"Is this... my old face?" muttered the young man softly as he examined his own face.
"Hahaha... is big bro disappointed? Don't worry, big bro still looks handsome!" said Kalina with a big smile.
"Kalina... Are we going to meet again?" Asked the young man.
Hearing the young man's question, Kalina then smiled a little and turned her face away.
"Of course! As long as we don't forget our happiness!" Kalina replied and walked away with her body being gently swallowed into the light.
"................"
"............"
"........"
"So... Do you want to follow her?" Asked Cecilia who suddenly appeared from behind the young man's back.
"Cecilia!? Since when have you been there!? And did you hear everything I said? No, that's not it! I mean did you see Kalina earlier too? No, that's not it! I mean did you know that Kalina was here?" The young man asked nervously.
"Of course I saw her, what? are you trying to make fun of me for being blind!?" Cecilia replied.
"Of course not! Come on, calm down, go back to your old Cecilia self, the cool and very awesome Cecilia..." The young man said while moving his hands as if he was hypnotizing Cecilia.
"Umm... What are you doing?"
"Umm, hypnotizing you?"
"Weird, let's forget about that. But it seems like what you said is also true, maybe because I was too happy I felt that I had returned to my original nature like when I was young." Cecilia replied.
"Oh, that reminds me! I remember Marie saying that you are actually an old granny!" Said the young man.
Hearing the young man's answer made Cecilia glance at the young man with a disappointed look.
"Hey, By the way, did you suck at talking to women in your previous world too? Or maybe you are a single person who doesn't have a partner?" Cecilia asked.
"Ouch! Your words have really pierced into my heart." Said the young man who then collapsed his body onto the green grass.
Then Cecilia lowered her face towards the face of the young man who was lying down and looked into the young man's eyes.
"Hehehe, By the way, thank you, this all happened because of you, my hero." Cecilia said.
Under the expanse of warm morning sunlight, the young man looked at Cecilia's cheerful smile and realized that Cecilia's pupils had now turned green like an Emerald.
"Cecilia, are your eyes currently..."
"Oh, my eyes huh? Yup, as you might have guessed, currently I have regained my sight again. Huh... If you think about it, being blind doesn't seem so pleasant huh? Hopefully I don't have to do weird rituals like that anymore." Cecilia grumbled while sipping her tea.
Hearing Cecilia's grumbling, the young man chuckled.
"Oh yeah, by the way where is your teacup?" Asked Cecilia who just realized that the young man was now not holding a teacup in his hand.
"Ah! That's right, it looks like the cup has broken and fallen somewhere." The young man replied while scratching his head.
A disappointed expression once again appeared in both Cecilia's eyes.
"Do you know, that cup and tea is a special object that I have been saving for a long time as a reward if I achieve my goal? But... Why did you break it?" Cecilia asked with an exasperated expression on her face.
"Eh? That's... Blame Kalina! Yes, blame her! If it wasn't for her there's no way I would have destroyed that very special cup and tea!" The young man replied.
"Ah, whatever! After all, in this world I can ask him to create that cup and tea for me again." Cecilia replied.
"Ask?" Asked the young man.
"Yes, like this."
Suddenly in Cecilia's right hand appeared a cup and the same tea water that the young man had drunk before.
"No way... Could it be this place is..."
"Yes, this is the Heaven that has been promised to us." Cecilia replied briefly.
"So... this is heaven?" The young man murmured.
Confused and mixed feelings gathered together in the young man's soul after he learned that the place he was currently living in was a heaven.
"Do I deserve to be in such a holy place?" Asked the young man.
"Of course, otherwise why would you end up in this place?" Asked Cecilia with a small smile to the young man.
Then the two of them returned and sat on the bench in front of Cecilia's small house while looking at the people who were currently still partying merrily in front of the two of them.
"Oh yeah, sorry if my question is a little bit late. By the way, what's your name?" Cecilia asked the young man.
"My name?" Asked the young man while tilting his head slightly.
"Yup, your real name."
"Oh, my real name? Hmm... Maybe it's because it's been a long time that I feel a little strange to say it. Well, my name is..."
“The End.”
