Chapter 11:

Chapter 11 (Histories)

Ankh Holder (Season 2) (The Reboot edition)

“Kava, Kava… don’t go there! come back!”

“It’s just here and there, mommy!”

“Bomp!” “Oof!”

As little Kava walked further, he was hit by a chubby running Bulgian boy. Kava was walking steadily, so it was the runner’s fault. But,

“Look at this! An Arunian hit me!” said the Bulgian boy. And he kicked the little Kava, creating a loud noise.

“Oh, Master, It was an acci-,”

“Huh!! Come here!! This Arunian creature hit me and dared to talk me back!!” The Bulgian boy yelled, and a group of Bulgian boys playing in the street came to the scene. One by one, they kicked Kava. They kicked his face and his ribs, and one even stomped on his right hand. They kicked and beat him up, and no one ever stopped them. For the Bulgian pedestrians, it was a typical scene. No surprise or no need to stop. It was only when the boys got tired of beating, that they left. Little Kava was left with a broken arm and a bruised face, along with a scattered soul.

“Haven’t mommy told you not to go outside? Now, your hand is broken. Our work tomorrow gonna be harder,” Little Kava’s mother said while placing a hot towel on the bruised areas. Sobbing, Kava asked,

“Why do we have to do these jobs, mommy? Why do the Bulgian make us, Arunians, do every labor they don’t want?”

“That’s because we don’t have our own planet!” Kava’s grandma, who was sitting nearby, answered with her deep, cracked voice.

“Oh, mother, don’t tell the kid about these things. It does not matter now!” Kava’s mother, Kara, said to her mother.

“Of course, it matters! He should know our history! He should know why we are being persecuted! We, Arunians, were once the most powerful civilization in the galaxy. Our planet, Arun, was so great that other planets had to give tributes to us. But, after a series of corrupted leaders, worn out by prolonged civil wars, our planet became inhabitable 1000 years ago. Thus, we became the refugees of the galaxy, being parasites to other planets and eventually becoming their slaves,”

Grandma wept while recounting the history. Kara said,
“Stop it, mother. It’s all over now. All these golden ages are now history. Slaves are slaves now,”

“Hey, but back when we were masters, our ancestors had made contact with the people from a third planet orbiting a star somewhere in the galaxy. At a delta region of that planet, our ancestors settled and shared our wisdom and magic with the natives. Those natives revered our ancestors as gods and even built pyramids just like the ships our ancestors came. Find that planet, my boy. Find the lost skills of our ancestors. Find it for our independence,”

Kara gave no attention to her mother’s words and left the room for her favor. However, for Kava, the words echoed in his ear.

The Arunians had to do every dangerous drudgery on the Planet of Bulga. The Bulgians made them work hard labor, including mining, collecting litter, constructing giant structures, and building railways. Medical and weaponry experiments were done on the Arunians. The Arunians had to work 25 hours a day (A day on the Planet of Bulga last 30 hours). They considered this hard labor as a price for their stay. In order not to get driven out by the Bulgian principles, they put all their effort into the drudgery. They had to teach their children that Bulgians were their saviors by sharing their planets and that it was an honor to serve the saviors. The conditions were the same for Arunians on other planets.

One day, Kava’s mother didn’t come back from work as usual. Grandma and Kava had waited for the whole night. Only at midnight, Kara’s lifeless body was sent to the Arunian’s unit. Bruises covered her whole body, and her neck was broken. The body was sent n@ked. The head worker said that there was an accident but only fools would believe that. Days after days, the rumors and gossip appeared

“Hey, you know that b!tch called Kara? Yeah, that greedy wh0re got herself prostituted by the boss. When the boss got bored with her, she got killed!”

….

Thus, 30 years had passed,
….

“Now, the speaker is…. Dr Kava Lamine!”

At a secret base, the Arunian rebels cheered the doctor of their kind with great passion. There were clappings, there were ‘Huzzah’s, there were whistles, and there was respect.

Ten years ago, the name ‘Kava Lamine’ attained fame on the Planet of Bulga. The Arunian scientist, the inventor of muti-functioning cyborgs, the caster of spells, and the scholar who combined science and magic with all these titles, he became.

It was not only because he found the lost Arunian scrolls on distant planets but also because of his ability to get connected with the Bulgian uppers to recognize his inventions. He had made all his effort to get ‘connected’ with those authoritative upper and avoided carefully not ending just like his mother. He had realized how fast things could get if he got help from the authoritative ones. Not only this, but he also became quite fond of getting the “Authority” in his hand himself.

He believed that no matter how skillful a person was, without authority and power, no one would respect him. He was the pride of the oppressed Arunians.

“To my brothers, Arunians, may I speak this. After all these years, we have lived in oppression, fear, and shame. We became refugees of the galaxy, being enslaved and oppressed, treated as animals. We had to work like machines and were barely paid for survival. No education except propaganda was available for us. We shall not hand this future to our younglings. Our generations shall not become slaves anymore! Thus, we need to find our own planet,”

“Huzzah!” “Our doctor!” “Then, you shall be our king!”

“Now, I’m proud to announce that I have found the location of the planet which residents used to worship our ancestors as gods! We will conquer that planet and make it our home! We shall revive the lost skills and magic of the ancestors hidden on that planet! I send my gratitude to all of my brethren who helped me find the ancient scrolls! Hail Arunian Empire!”

“Hail Arunian Empire!”

Meanwhile,

“The Bulgian military has known our locations! We need to evacuate now!” “The Bulgian soldiers have breached our base!”

Dr Kava Lamine attacked the soldiers with his magic, but he was unmatched.
“Dr!! Please flee!” “You are our last hope!” “You shall not die!”
The Arunian rebels risked their lives to cover him, leading him to a safe place. Knowing that there was no chance of winning, Kava Lamine escaped via a secret passage.

That evening, the news of executing the arrested Arunian rebels appeared on Bulgian national media. Some of them were barely adults. Kava Lamine wept after reading it. The media showcased him as a rebel leader. His image had gone, and his authoritative friends could also do nothing. But he cared nothing.

After this defeat, the public also began seeing all Arunians as rebels, increasing their hatred. Kava Lamine also swore to pay off the debt of his fellow rebels. He had been weighted by the depth of regret. He considered retaking the planet Earth as his mission to pay the blood of the rebels who died while saving him.

Within two days, he used the ancestor’s magic of “changing body and soul” on a Bulgian space pilot. He switched his soul to the body of the pilot and switched the pilot’s soul to his own body. Then, he killed his body with the pilot’s soul, faking his own death. He then hijacked a spaceship and arrived on Earth. He would retake Earth, the once land of his ancestor, by all means.

What happened after his arrival on Earth is shown in Part (1) of the story. To summarize, his spaceship broke and took refuge at the ascetic monk named “U Agga”. After that, by using the same magic, he switched his body with that of U Agga and killed the real monk. He then used technology to get the king’s favor and respect. He built his authority by seducing a witch named “Nagasena,” and making her the head queen consort.

At the same time, he had found the lost skills and magic of the ancestors but couldn’t use them. He needed a key and Zeya had brought it to him directly.

He believed that all his successes were the help of his ancestors and kept on worshiping them.
