Chapter 49:
The Lifeless Supermoon: A Fateful Encounter
As Ayane was going back inside the campus and to the library upwards, she noticed that her arm were redden with the fingerprints of Masato, who grabbed her arm pretty hard, considering that she was a girl.
"These people should know other peoples personal boundaries. Don't they know not to touch girls without their consent? Anyway...", she said as she went up the stairs.
Meanwhile, Sakiko heard everything, hiding behind the wall, and she quickly went away when she heard Ayane comeing her way.
"Now I have the perfect plot...", she grinned, as she devised a plan.
"Oh! You came back!", Yuki exclaimed.
Standing infront of the library counter was Yuki, waiting patiently for Ayane.
"Was I late?"
"Nope. You were just in time. See this-", she handed out the application form for joining the club, "Will you join with me to this club?"
She completed her form and was waiting Ayane to come back.
"Sure!", she couldn't resist her sincere request. It wont be bad joining the library club anyway. It's not like she hates books. She had read a fair share of books herself.
The library was empty. There was a senior female student sitting at the counter, and nobody else. It was peaceful, unlike other clubs.
"This might better than other clubs."
She filled up her form and handed it over together.
"Here you go, senpai."
"You guys are new here, first year, right?"
"Yes."
"Thanks for joining and welcome to the club. You can just laze here and read books or chat with each other. But don't make it too loud. You will have to do counter works from time to time, but those will be easy and I will be teaching you those."
"Thank you."
"I think I haven't introduced myself yet. I am Maki, a second year. Nice to meet you.
"I am Ayane. Nice to meet you too."
"I am Yuki. Also nice to meet you."
They were now officially the members of the library club.
"So what are you looking for, Yuki-chan?", Ayane asked, as Yuki was looking at the stacks of books.
She suddenly pulled Ayane in a corner and whispered in her ear, "Dark romance."
Both of their eyes sparkled with enthusiasm and energy.
"But do the school library have those type of books?", Ayane asked.
"Thats what I am looking for."
As they searched through the long shelves of books, they found none of that genre. Maki senpai noticed that they were searching for something.
As Yuki's eyes made contact with her, she made hand movements, telling them to come to her. And they did accordingly.
"If you are looking for dark romance, we have the, here, but keep it a secret, okay? Otherwise I would get in trouble.", she said, as she pick up a basket filled with books from under the table.
She was surprisingly friendly.
"But how did you know?", Yuki asked.
"Idiot. I exactly know what innocent looking book girls with round glasses like you love to read. I have a ton of friends like that."
They were both surprised and amazed by her keen eyes for people.
"Thank you, Maki-senapi."
"Thank you, Maki-senapi.", they said in sync.
