Chapter 1:

Scroll 1- And So It Begins...

The Witch of Scales

The world around her was aflame.

The screams of suffering souls numbed her hearing.

She covered her ears and cried.

She cried and cried and cried.

Until the world was ash.

"..." Lying underneath a park bench, a woman stared absentmindedly at the falling snow. Some piece of her mind was confused why, despite it being summer, that snow was still falling, but it was soon replaced by pleasant nothingness. She tried to close her eyes and sleep, but unfortunately, she was far from tired.

"Guess I should go for a walk." she mumbled, sitting up and phasing through the park bench. Once she was on her two feet, she began walking in a random direction. Her face was pointed down, staring at the snow. She should feel cold, but for some reason she doesn't. 'I wonder why.' She thought to herself with little interest. Her mind was more interested in figuring out the math problem that had entered her head while under her bench.

"2-3 is -1, take -1 and add it to 3+19, which is 22, and you get 21, which you multiply by-" Her words were cut off by a car ramming through her body. She watched it drive off and shivered some. "That's odd." She said to no one in particular and returned to her math problem, when she noticed something.

A giant red buster sword. "Weird." She looked from side to side. Apparently no one had noticed it. "You're so pretty yet no one wants to take you? How sad. You must be really lonely. It's okay, you can come with me." She spoke to the sword before bending down and picking it up with both arms. It was definitely heavy, but not so heavy that she couldn't carry it. Now with a sword wrapped in her arms, she continued along.

"Hmmm...where am I?" She wondered out loud as she examined the surrounding trees. "I guess I walked farther than I should have. Oh well." She laid down on the ground, lying the sword down next to her. "I'm tired. Sweet dreams sword." She said to the red blade, gently caressing it.

...cold...really...cold…

"Hmm?" The woman heard a gentle voice in her head.

Pick me...up...I'm cold…

The woman looked around, before her eyes stopped on the sword. "Hello? Is that you?"

Yes...pick me up. Please.

"...okay." The woman shrugged her shoulders and hugged the sword against her. "Better?"

Mmmm…

"A talking sword is a little weird. Do you have a name?"

Little? Hehe, that's a cute first question.

"Not really. It's just manners."

Alright then. I am Vilitania, the leader of the noble dragon fleet. And you?

"Im Monika." The woman answered.

That's a very pretty name for a pretty face.

"Oh. Thank you, you're very nice for a sword."

You can't call me nice just from a few seconds of conversation.

"Yes I can. And I will."

You already did.

"Oh yeah. Sorry."

Hehe. He-hahahaha-

The sword in the woman's arms began to shine and morph. The woman watched with a curious expression as the sword took another shape. As the bright light faded, a woman was lying on top of her, laughing with a beautiful voice.

"Oh. That's cool." Monika commented. Vilitania placed a hand over her mouth, stifling her giggles. Monika began examining Vilitania's new form. A long black cloak extended from her neck to her knees. Short red hair hung just above Monika's face, and she could feel two soft objects pushing against her. "Aren't you gonna be more cold in this form though?" Monika asked with slight concern.

"No. Actually, I can't feel cold. Or hot. I just wanted you to hold me." Her honesty confused Monika but she moved past it.

"Hmm, okay. Uhhh…" To be honest...she was a bit distracted by the soft feeling pushing against her. She hasn't been able to feel anything, yet she can feel this person's body.

"Monika...your cheeks are red." Vilitania teased with a smile.

"I'm just confused is all." Monika murmured.

"Oh. Then I apologise, but I might be about to make things harder for you." Vilitania placed her hands against Monika's body and pushed herself up slowly, revealing a pair of breasts hidden behind a red bra with...a scale like design? Vilitania raised one of her hands, and a crystal materialized. "It's nice to meet you, Monika, but I'm afraid to say you've made a horrible mistake." Vilitania said before crushing the crystal in her hand.

With a flash, the two bodies disappeared.
