Chapter 2:
Enchanted Fighters
Before going into Wonderland, in the real world in Japan, on the abandoned house, there is Arina Danshi, along with her friends, Jason Matsu and Tyrone Wuza found a blue book with a golden star on it, the book known as the Wonderbook.
"Okay, I just open for the best day." Arina mutters to herself as she flips open the book.
An magical light came out from the book, which leading Arina, Jason and Tyrone are transported into the Wonderland. But it was flashback dream, Arina woke up in Ray's house, realizing that it was all just a dream. She was in her room, the sunlight shone through the window, birds chirping outside.
"Good morning, Arina." Ray greeted as he walked into her room.
"Oh hi, Ray. I think I have a flashback dream about my friends are lost in the middle on the fairytale world." Arina said while still lying on her bed.
"Well, that sounds like a very interesting dream. Do you want to talk about it?" Ray asked, sitting down beside her.
"It was so real...," she said, still lost in thought. "And it was so vivid. I could feel everything, taste everything. The colors were so bright...and it was so beautiful there."
As she spoke, she couldn't help but close her eyes, remembering the sounds of the flowing river and the chirping of the birds that sang throughout the forest. The air had smelled like flowers and freshly cut grass, and the sunlight had felt warm against her skin. Even the feel of the soft grass beneath her feet seemed to linger in her memory.
"Well, I have to face some fantasy here." Arina said, opening her eyes and looking at Ray. "It's just that...in my dreams, I've always wondered what it would be like to be in a world like that. To explore those forests, to see those creatures, to taste those fruits. It's like a part of me has always yearned for it, and now..." She trailed off, lost in thought again.
Ray placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "You know, you don't have to keep dreaming about it. Maybe..." She hesitated, searching for the right words. "Maybe I could take you there someday. Show you that world for real."
When there was a knocking sound, Ray goes to the door and opens it to reveal a old man with eldery white hair and brown eyes that sparkled with mischief. He was dressed in a peculiar brown outfit and wore a green scarf around his neck. He held a cane that looked like it was made of a gnarled tree branch. Arina looked at him with confusion and curiosity.
"Oh hiya my best nephew, Ray." The eldery man named Grand Jack said cheerfully, poking his head into the room. "I see you're back from your little escapade. And who's this lovely lass you've brought home?" He winked at Arina, who couldn't help but blush at his welcoming demeanor.
Ray looked at him with a mix of relief and excitement. "Grand Jack, this is Arina. She's not just any lass, she's the one I've been telling you about!"
Grand Jack's eyes widened in realization. "Ah, the one from the tales! The girl who stumbled into our world from the another world, am I right?" He beamed at Arina, who looked both touched and surprised.
"Okay, this fuck me up." Arina murmured, sitting down on the bed.
"Well, there is my stand store in the market, why don't you come in." Grand Jack offered with a wink. "You can meet some of the other interesting ladies around here, and we can always use another pair of hands. You never know what kind of adventures might find you here."
Arina raised an eyebrow. "You're offering me a job already? That's... unexpected." She looked at Ray, who nodded encouragingly. "Well, I guess... I mean, it's not like I have anything to go back to. And I could use the money." She shrugged.
Arina, Ray and Grand Jack are arrived at the market. It was bustling with activity, colors and smells. The stand that Grand Jack was referring to was quite popular, with a variety of items for sale. The stand was adorned with beautiful fabrics and trinkets, making it hard to miss. As they walked towards it, Arina couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging. The people around them seemed to accept her as one of their own, treating her with kindness and respect.
They finally reached the stand, and Grand Jack greeted the stallkeeper warmly. "Ah, Grand Jack, it's been a while. How may I help you today?" asked the stallkeeper, a kind-looking old woman. Grand Jack gestured towards Arina and Ray. "That girl was in the new town."
"Hello there!" Arina waved at the old woman, feeling a bit more at ease. "I'm Arina. It's a pleasure to meet you!" She smiled warmly, her emerald eyes twinkling with curiosity.
"I have my nephew was Ray." Grand Jack pointed to his nephew, Ray, who was about the same age as Arina. "I brought them here because I heard Arina can help her find her way home."
The old woman looked at Arina with a keen interest. "So, you are from the outside world, Arina?" She spoke softly, as if sharing a secret. "It is quite rare for someone from there to end up here. Most people who come are either drawn by the stories of our enchanted land or they are lost like you." She paused, gazing into Arina's eyes. "Perhaps you were meant to find us, my dear."
"Yeah, I guess so." Arina replied, her voice filled with wonder. "I've always been fascinated by stories about magical lands like this. I never thought I'd end up here myself." She glanced around at the bustling market, taking in the sights and sounds. "It's so different from home, but somehow it feels... right."
A trumpet heard, there was a man, a mayor man has a big speech. The market stoped. Everyone turned around to face the stage, Arina and Ray did the same. The mayor man was up there, he was wearing a big golden hat. He had a horn with him. "Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls. We have a best party tonight!" He announced. The crowd cheered.
The old woman leaned in closer to Arina and whispered, "It's the annual Harvest Festival. It's a celebration of the season's bounty and a time for us to give thanks to the Queen Minara for her blessings." Arina's heart skipped a beat at the mention of the queen. A festival? This could be her chance to find the way home.
"Okay, let's giving up for Queen Minara." The mayor continued, also the queen is not here but she will join later. "Where is she?" Arina whispered to Grand Jack, her heart racing with excitement. He leaned in and said, "She's probably in the castle preparing for her grand entrance. She's known for her love of dramatics."
Suddenly, there was dark smoke came out from the castle, and the crowd gasped in amazement. A figure emerged from the smoke, floating gracefully down to the stage. It was witch baroness, laughed evily as she pointed her wand to the crowd. The mayor looked surprised and immediately the guards rushed towards the stage. The witch baroness cackled, "Your queen has abandoned you, fools! Bow down to me, your new ruler!"
"I knew it, you kidnap Queen Minara! You fuckin witch!" The mayor roared, his face turning red with anger as he pointed at the witch baroness. The guards looked at each other, unsure of what to do next. Arina's eyes widened in shock, and she grabbed onto Grand Jack's arm for support.
"Holy shit!" Arina exclaimed under her breath, her eyes wide with terror. The witch baroness was unlike anyone she had ever seen before, with piercing blue eyes and a wicked smile that sent chills down her spine. The crowd murmured in fear, and Grand Jack's grip on her arm tightened.
"I kidnap Queen Minara for last days!" The witch baroness cackled, her eyes gleaming with malicious intent. "Your beloved queen is now under my control, and she will never be seen again unless you submit to me! Perhaps you both should save here in my Dark Castle, hahahaha!" She disappeared into the smoke, leaving the town in a state of panic.
The mayor turned to Grand Jack, his voice trembling with urgency. "You know the Queen, can you help us?" Grand Jack nodded solemnly, his eyes narrowed with determination. "We must save Queen Minara. She is the heart of this land, and without her, the balance of magic will be lost."
"I am going to save her." Arina's voice was firm, her eyes sparkling with a fierce resolve that surprised even herself. "I have to. I have a feeling that this is all connected to why I'm here."
"Okay, I am with you Arina. To defeat the witch baroness!" Ray exclaimed, his eyes alight with excitement. "But we need a plan," Grand Jack said, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, which had begun to disperse in fear.
"Well, it's good. Now, step on the magical portal through to the Dark Castle." The mayor's voice was filled with hope and urgency. The guards led Arina, Grand Jack, and Ray to a hidden corner of the market, where a shimmering portal stood, surrounded by an eerie glow. Arina took a deep breath, stepping forward with newfound determination.
As they passed through the portal, the world around them changed drastically. Gone were the vibrant colors and sounds of the market, replaced by the cold, lifeless hues of the witch's domain. The Dark Castle loomed in the distance, its towers piercing the gloomy sky.
"We must be careful," Grand Jack whispered, his hand on the hilt of his wooden cane. "The Dark Castle is the witch's domain, and she will not hesitate to use her powers against us."
"Okay, let spilt up to find Queen Minara." Arina whispered, looking around the castle. They wandered through the dark corridors, the torches casting long shadows on the stone walls. The air was thick with the scent of burning incense and something more sinister, as if the very atmosphere was poisoned.
Arina walked to the hallway, but there was an young girl which the same age as Arina, with the yellow light hair and green eyes, wears her purple dress. Also Arina passed the young girl, she notice something about the girl, it was the mark on her left wrist, it was the same mark that Arina have. Then Arina stop and asked the young girl.
"Hey, how are you? Do you know why you have the same mark on your wrist?" The young girl turns to Arina and give her a surprised look, then she said, "You have it too? I don't know why, I just have it since I was born. My name is Airi, what's your name?" Arina said, "My name is Arina, and I just come from the real world. I was just wondering, do you know anything about the witch baroness? Or the Queen Minara?" Airi paused for a moment, then she said, "Yes, I know something about them. The Queen Minara was a powerful sorceress who once saved our world from the darkness. She is now trapped in a crystal, and the witch baroness wants to use her powers for her own evil purposes. I was hiding here, trying to find a way to save her."
Arina nodded, understanding what Airi meant. "Well, we are here to save her too. We need your help, Airi. Can you show us the way to the Queen Minara?" Airi looked at Arina with determination in her eyes. "Yes, I can help you. But we need to be careful. The witch baroness has many traps and guards protecting the Queen."
Then they enter the throne room, there's Queen Mirana was trapped in the crystal, they saw witch baroness holding the massive sword. Arina rushes to sword. Then she lifts the witch baroness' sword with her might, just then the witch baroness tries to push her over, Arina struggles against her but she manages to keep herself standing. The witch baroness laughs evilly and says "You are strong, little one, but you are no match for me." Just then, Arina's eyes glow blue, which Airi surprised and Grand Jack impressed. Arina took the massive, ancient sword from the witch baroness' hands, and with all her strength, she swings it at the witch baroness, killing her. The darkness in the room disappears, and light fills the room. The Queen Minara's crystal glows brightly, and she thanks them. "You have saved us all. The world is safe once again." Arina, Airi, Grand Jack, and Ray all bow their heads in respect to the Queen Minara.
Just then, the town cheered just as Queen Minara was saved. The people, grateful and relieved, surrounded Arina, Airi, Grand Jack, and Ray, thanking them for their bravery and heroism. The Queen Minara herself walked over to Arina and knelt before her, taking her hand. "You have proven yourself to be a true hero, Arina. Your courage and strength will be remembered for generations to come."
"Thanks." Arina beamed, blushing lightly at the Queen Minara's praise. Airi, standing beside her, nodded in agreement, a proud smile on her face.
The festival is over. In night, at Ray's house, Arina tells about that she got in the Wonderland and said. "Okay, so I got stranded in the fairytale, fantasy and magical place was Wonderland. I got this magical book." Arina shows Grand Jack and Ray to Wonderbook with her hands.
Grand Jack takes a look and says "That's... That's impossible! It's not from here!" He looks at Arina, then at Airi, and then back at the book. "How did you... How did this...?"
Arina shrugs. "I don't know, I just found it. But it's really important! It tells me about the Wonderland and everything that's going on there."
Grand Jack looks at the book with newfound interest. "That's incredible! Do you think we could use it to get back home?"
Arina looked the Wonderbook, it has three uncolored gems on it and says. "But the gems of colored are gone." She frowns and looks at the book. "I don't know why..." She thinks and says.
"Okay then, but you both need to sleep now!" Grand Jack says, Arina and Ray are walked to the bedroom. "We can discuss this more tomorrow."
Grand Jack picks the Wonderbook, he goes to outside and pulls the shovel, shoveling the dirt in the ground, he pulls the Wonderbook and says. "Sorry, Arina. but I can't have you showing this thing around. Too dangerous for all of us. Now it's where it belongs. Where no one can find it."
Then Grand Jack buries the Wonderbook, but before that, he reads one page, the last page. "Hmm... It's talking about a prophecy. It says that the one who holds the key to the Wonderland's heart will be able to bring peace and harmony to the world. And that the one who misuses the power will bring destruction upon all."
Grand Jack thinks about it for a moment, then decides to keep it a secret from Arina. He doesn't want her to feel guilty or pressured into doing anything she might regret. Instead, he'll keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't stumble upon the book again. With that, he goes back inside and tucks Arina and Ray into bed, making sure they're both comfortable and safe.
