Epilogue

The baron land withered away by its former ruler was showing signs of growth after years of dormancy, patches of grass and trees splashed around the charred ground painted the gray landscape in new colors. The lands were now given a new purpose aside from allowing life to thrive, strange creatures work tirelessly on excavating an old relic, its material wasn’t known, constructed in the shape of a circular gate still in the same condition as it was made, as if untouched by time. Sitting in the background looming over a ruined city, on a continent not too far from Stellar, was the old god of Voids kingdom and castle, now with a new homeowner. I was there when my brother had fallen long ago to the one they call “ Queen of the Light” in battle, I could’ve helped him but decided it would be better with him out of the way, plus I would’ve died trying. We did not exactly meet eye to eye when it came to the future of the abyssal, he was foolish but not weak, in terms of destructive power he would outrank me. To think that someone of her caliber existed was something I hadn’t prepared for, something that won’t happen a second time. I would have to prepare better for any potential variables. Fortunately thanks to that fight she wont be taking to the frontlines anytime soon, which removes the need to plan ahead for that one, one obstacle gone for now, having forced her into the ascended plane was one of the few bright ideas my brother has ever thought up of on his own, her power is still regenerating and will stay like that for a few days at best. And in my brothers absence, a power vacuum was created through one that I can easily fill with another pawn, I can further my plans in time. I’ll continue to lay hidden, but if my information is correct the one who slew Onyx should be wandering Star alone, in exile, which makes him more dangerous than before, it would be annoying if he started looking into certain things, I’ll have to think of something for that but for now the plan I have to deal with him should be good enough. Regarding the matter of a base, it turns out my brothers magic was keeping the entire castle in orbit, but now that its gone the entire thing plummeted into NEST, now it kinda looks like its always been here, fortunately it remained intact and was still useable which was all it needed to do. I would use it as a secondary foothold and will be used to house the remaining abyss soldiers in secret, since such a large amount of abyss energy would attract unwanted attention, while my personal army will remain here. I will not fail as my brother has. Everything I envision will come to pass. Sitting in front of me floated a large slab of atherium, a metal found in the abyssal home world. Its shine was polished, it had red splashes in between the dark green, almost as if it had been frozen instead, the glowing runes engraved into it remain pulsating, and the slab float on top where supposedly Vacthius was killed, the lingering remnants of his power acted as the primary anchor keeping the slab chained to this plane, the secondary anchor was the chains of ascension which would allow me to eventually free the thing inside, that which binds under the strain of it, "Soon, my friend, soon. The key to your freedom will arrive,” says Lilith smiling, Sister to the first king. Fortunately for me I was able to siphon what was left of my brothers power before it all disappeared into nothing, allowing me to rip into space and transport myself anywhere. A shame that the view from my brothers castle of the planet was replaced by the sand strom encircling the newly placed castle shield, it seems when Onyx had ripped open space to the ascended plane, it remained within the courts space, leaving a scar like wound behind. The new queen looks aside to see the little girl standing not too far from her, smiling at her. Lilith’s mood changes, much like the first king throws an attack, a strange spear is thrusted into the floor, a spear made of dark material, similar to that of the Eternal Radiance. The little girl had vanished as quickly as she appeared, evading the attack. Hated her for reasons we do not know yet. Lilith sighs and makes her way back, her envoy standing near by, “ Well, has anything interesting happened?” She asks the envoy, to which it replies, “ yes my Empress, the spawn of the Ascender on star has been killed a few days ago and Jade has used its fragment to rid herself of the curse, allowing her to be reinstated as Queen of Light, according to the one, the Voidless Ascender has become aware of this system, but its main body remains dormant for now, I will notify you when it begins to move,” the envoy relays, Lilith stares of into the distance, trying to wrap her head around the idiotic decision made by those people, “ However,” the envoy continues, “ it seems Onyx had managed to contact the Ascender and brought forward one of its structures using his power in an attempt to destroy Luminos, in which they failed. The likelihood of the Ascender moving now has become even greater,” Lilith lets out a sigh of frustration. They made their move against it, this could complicate things. Although removing that thing was for the best, it was only keeping it from arriving, now it knows Star still strives and has the power to kill its spawn, I would need to hasten things in order to strengthen myself if its making its way here, I would also have to decide on which side I will stand on, “ Send word to my champions, we are moving ahead with the plan,” Lilith says, her envoy vanishing to relay her new command. The little girl stands from afar, in the shadow of her face a set of gleaming blue eyes watches as Lilith walks away.
