Chapter 3:
Magical Girl - Otoma
It was a cold day of the Japan, some police women, Miharu and Natsumi are relaxing themselves on the police car.
"Man, it was so boring here." Miharu sighed, her breath forming a small cloud in the brisk winter air. Natsumi nodded in agreement, sipping on her coffee. The quiet street was lined with identical buildings, each one's lights flickering off as the night grew deeper.
Natsumi nodded in response, her eyes scanning the empty street. "I know what you mean. It's like we're the only ones left in this city."
Then suddenly, Miharu heard a pleasant sound, a loud noise that broke the stillness of the night. She turned to see a burst of light in the distant alleyway. "Hey, what's that?" she asked, jumping out of the car. Natsumi followed, her hand instinctively reaching for her gun.
There, a group of wild warthogs were causing a ruckus, knocking over trash cans and scurrying through the narrow alley. The light grew brighter, and the sound grew more intense. It was unlike anything they had ever heard before.
Miharu squinted, trying to make out what was happening. "Warthogs? In the city?" she exclaimed, incredulous. Natsumi took a step back, raising her gun. "This isn't normal. Something's up."
The light grew so intense that it filled the alley, forcing them to shield their eyes. The warthogs ran over to Miharu and Natsumi, launching them to the sky with their surprising strength.
In the forest, Allen Kazuka was relaxing himself after a long day of work, taking in the tranquil sounds of the night. Then, Natsumi and Miharu are launched out of the alleyway and into the sky, landing unceremoniously at his feet.
Allen's eyes widened in surprise as he looked up to see the two police officers, one with short blue hair and the other with long pink hair, dressed in their uniforms. "Are you okay?" he asked, rushing over to help them up.
Miharu brushed off the dirt from her clothes, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "What just happened?" she muttered, looking around the unfamiliar woods. Natsumi, more composed, took in their surroundings, her hand still on her gun.
Allen looked at the two women, puzzled. "I'm not sure, but I've never seen anything like it," he said, his eyes returning to the alley where the light had originated. "But it seems like you've stumbled into something... unusual."
The sound of snapping branches and rustling leaves grew closer, and a sense of urgency filled the air. The warthogs emerged from the alley, their bodies now bathed in a soft glow, their eyes piercing through the darkness.
"Okay, I better stop them!" Allen Kazuka exclaimed, his eyes glinting with determination. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his pink wand that he becomes the magical warrior girl.
"Okay, transform!" Allen shouted, waving his wand dramatically. A wave of pink energy enveloped him, and in an instant, he transforms into.....Magical Girl Otoma.
The transformation was as shocking to the police officers as it was to the warthogs. They watched as the young man they had just met morphed into a beautiful girl with a frilly pink dress and a gleaming wand. The warthogs paused in their advance, momentarily stunned by the sudden change.
Then Allen, now as Magical Girl Otoma, she yelled at the warthogs. "You there, stop!"
The warthogs squealed in response, their eyes reflecting the pink glow of the wand. They paused, unsure of what to do next.
"This is your one warning," Magical Girl Otoma said, her voice firm and commanding. "Return to your peaceful ways or face the consequences!"
The warthogs, however, were not easily deterred. Their eyes narrowed, and the glow surrounding them grew brighter. They began to advance again, their hooves pounding the ground with an ominous rhythm.
Magical Girl Otoma's heart raced as she took a protective stance in front of the police officers. She had encountered strange creatures before, but nothing quite like these. "We're going to have to do this the hard way," she murmured, gripping her wand tightly.
The warthogs grew bolder, their snouts snarling as they charged towards the trio. The pink light from the wand grew brighter, and Magical Girl Otoma raised it high in the air. "Pink Blossom Whirlwind!" she shouted, releasing a flurry of petals that whipped around the animals, sending them tumbling away.
Miharu and Natsumi watched in amazement as the warthogs, momentarily dazed, struggled to regain their footing. The air was filled with the sweet scent of cherry blossoms, a stark contrast to the earthy smell of the forest.
The warthogs, however, weren't defeated. They began to glow with an eerie blue light, their tusks growing longer and sharper. "What are they?" Natsumi asked, her grip on her gun tightening.
Magical Girl Otoma frowned, her pink eyes narrowing as she studied the transformed creatures. "I've never seen anything like this. They've been corrupted by some dark magic," she said, her voice steady despite the danger.
Miharu and Natsumi exchanged a worried glance. "What do we do?" Miharu asked, her hand hovering over her walkie-talkie.
"We need to figure out where this magic is coming from," Magical Girl Otoma said, her voice a mix of confidence and concern. "And we need to do it fast before they attack again."
Otoma saw a young woman, who was dressed in a black cloak with emerging from the alleyway.
"I had to save her!" Otoma exclaimed, recognizing the cloaked figure. Otoma rushes towards the alley, with Miharu and Natsumi close behind.
The woman in the cloak, sensing their approach, turned to face them. As Otoma took the woman to a safest place, she could see the panic and exhaustion etched on her face. "Who are you?" the cloaked woman demanded, her voice trembling.
"I'm Magical Girl Otoma," Otama introduced herself with a confident smile. "These are officers Miharu and Natsumi. We're here to help you."
The woman's eyes widened, and she took a step back. "Magical... girl?" she repeated, her voice filled with disbelief.
Miharu stepped forward, showing her badge. "We're with the police. We need to know what's going on here."
Otoma had ready to fight the warthogs, but there's someone behind her, Otoma saw a gigantic warthog, easily twice the size of the others, barreling down the alleyway towards them, its eyes burning with malicious intent. "We've got bigger problems," she warned, pointing over her shoulder.
Then the farmer male goes to Miharu and Natsumi and says, "Do you know the about to Don Quin?"
Miharu and Natsumi exchanged a confused look. "Don Quin?" Natsumi repeated. "Is that some kind of code for something?"
"I'll explain for the warthogs story." The male farmer said, as he begin the story of Don Quin. "Many years ago, a farmer in Canada sought to breed the pig, was Don Quin. He was good of the farm, but his worldview was shattered. Don Quin was shocked that the pigs are now in the slaughterhouse, the pigs he raised. So, he was angry that all of the pigs are became meats, so he makes a deal with the devil. In exchange for his soul, he could turn into a creature that could save all the pigs. He turned into a warthog. The devil didn't say that he could save all the pigs in the world, just the pigs he knew."
"Don Quin? This is the tragical story." Otoma whispered under her breath, as the giant warthog continued to charge towards them, the smaller ones closing in from the sides.
The cloaked woman's eyes widened in horror. "The legend... it's true?" she gasped.
Otama nodded gravely. "It seems so. And now we have to stop it before it's too late."
Don Quin was a devilish warthog that stood before them, its eyes burning with a hunger for vengeance. The smaller warthogs had fully encircled them, their sharp tusks glinting in the moonlight.
Otoma had to do something, but she had her own idea and said to the farmer. "Okay, what are the warthog's weaknesses?"
The farmer thought for a moment before speaking. "The only way to stop Don Quin is to appeal to his original humanity. He only targets those who are connected to the meat industry."
Natsumi's eyes narrowed. "So, if we can convince him we're not a threat..." she began, but was cut off by the giant warthog's deafening roar.
"We don't have much time for a heart-to-heart," Miharu pointed out, her hand tight on her gun.
Otama nodded. "I know, but we can't just fight him without understanding his motives. Maybe is a A-10 was the warthog's weakness, but since we don't have one, I can do anything for a magic!"
Otoma raised her pink wand and uses her magic to summon a A-10 plane, which appeared out of nowhere and hovered over them. The sight of the aircraft was so unexpected that even the giant warthog, Don Quin, paused for a moment, its eyes widening in surprise.
"Okay, you are finished here." Otoma said, as she jumped inside on the A-10 plane, as she shoots the pink magic to the giant warthog, creating a pink force field around it. The warthog's snarls were muffled by the barrier, and it struggled to break free. Then Don Quin was fainted.
Miharu and Natsumi looked at each other in disbelief. "How did you do that?" Miharu asked, her voice a mix of awe and confusion.
Otama chuckled nervously. "It's a long story. But for now, let's just say that magic is a powerful tool."
Her victory was good, as Otoma turned back into a Allen Kazuka, the farmer male took a step back and said, "What the... How did you...?"
Allen looked down at his wand, then back at the farmer. "It's a magical device. It allows me to transform into Magical Girl Otoma and use magic to protect the innocent," he explained, trying to keep his voice steady despite the rush of adrenaline still coursing through his veins.
The farmer stared at him for a moment, then nodded slowly. "I see. I guess there's more to this world than I thought."
The cloaked woman was saw that Otoma was Allen Kazuka, she walked away. In the evening, Allen walked to his house with a sense of relief and a hint of bewilderment. He had never encountered such a powerful magical creature before, and the thought of facing it alone was daunting. As he approached his door, he heard a soft knock.
Then Allen opened the door, he saw the cloaked woman standing there, as she said. "Hello, can I come in?"
Allen nodded, still in shock from the events of the night. "Sure," he said, stepping aside to let her in. The cloaked woman, revealed to be a young magical queen, she said angrily. "Where did you get my wand?"
The living room was a mess, remnants of his earlier transformation scattered across the floor. "Your wand?" Allen asked, puzzled.
"Well, I confirm it that, where did you obtained my wand?" The magical queen's eyes blazed with accusation. Allen looked at her, then at his wand, then back at her.
"I found it," he replied tentatively, holding the wand up. "But it's not like I stole it. It's been with me for a while now."
The magical queen stepped closer, her eyes never leaving the wand. "You found it? Impossible. That wand is one of a kind, and it chooses its wielder. How could a mere mortal like you come to possess such power?"
Allen felt a chill run down his spine, his grip on the wand tightening. "I... I don't know," he stammered. "It just appeared to me one day, and I've been using it to help people ever since."
The magical queen's gaze softened a fraction. "I see. Perhaps the wand saw something in you that I did not," she said, her voice laced with curiosity. "I am Queen Minasa, ruler of the Magical Kingdom, and I have been searching for this wand for centuries."
"Magical Kingdom?" Allen repeated, his eyes widening. "I had no idea... I just thought it was a cool toy."
Queen Minasa raised an eyebrow. "Toy?" she echoed. "This wand is no mere plaything. It is a weapon of great power, capable of bending reality to the will of its user. It can only be wielded by someone with a pure heart and a just cause."
"Yeah, I realized....when did you lost your wand?" Allen asked, trying to keep the nervousness out of his voice.
"Centuries ago, during a great battle," Queen Minasa said, her eyes distant. "I accidentally dropped my wand in the human world. I've been searching for it ever since. It's been that I wasn't careful enough."
Allen's mind raced as he tried to process this new information. "So, you want it back?" He held out the wand, feeling a strange reluctance to let it go.
"No," Queen Minasa said, shaking her head. "I can see that you have been using it wisely. Besides, I am not without power. I came here to seek an alliance, not to reclaim what is lost. You are now been chosen as a magical girl."
"Mahou Shoujo, I like that! Just like Sailor Moon and Go! Princess Precure, I watched for full of years." Allen said, a hint of excitement in his voice.
Queen Minasa's eyes narrowed slightly. "This is no mere entertainment," she said sternly. "The fate of our worlds hangs in the balance. If you wish to continue wielding this power, you must do so responsibly."
Allen nodded, his excitement tempered by the gravity of her words. "I understand. I'll do my best to protect both our worlds."
"Good," Queen Minasa said, a small smile playing on her lips. "If you like yourself, you simp for them too much." She stepped closer to Allen, her eyes searching his. "But tell me, why do you wish to become a Magical Girl?"
Allen's cheeks flushed slightly at her teasing, but he met her gaze without flinching. "I've always wanted to help people," he said earnestly. "And if this wand lets me do that in a way that's more... noticeable, then I'll do whatever it takes."
Queen Minasa studied him for a moment before nodding. "Very well," she said. "As a magical girl, you will have my support. But you must also understand that with great power comes great responsibility."
Within that, Queen Minasa and Allen are bonded by a silent understanding, acknowledging the weight of the destiny that had been thrust upon him. The room was quiet for a moment before the sound of the wand's gentle humming filled the space, resonating with a warm, comforting energy.
