Chapter 55:
The World's Savior is a Deviant?!
“It’s done. Good work, craftsmen!” I shouted to all the workers below me.
Morgala whispered to me. “It is done, correct? I can contact my Lord?”
“Yes, yes. I have finished the drill that will pierce the highest heaven and the deepest hell. Sure, it’s not as exciting as fighting the dragon, but this will be a good thing to do in the meantime. You better not lose.”
“Never. And it is all because of the resources you gathered and the plan you concocted.”
We stood before a massive drill-like structure that I had all the craftsmen of the country of the deceased Gargoyle King make for me. It was five stories high and oozing with dark energy. I had Morgala pour tons of mana into it to get it to work.
Epsilon sat by my side, idly playing her game. That was alright. I wanted Okaran to see what I was capable of. The war I didn't care for, but now the entertainment had finally begun!
I poured some mana into the drill causing it to whirl to life. A blue beam shot out from the top and soared into the heavens.
I inspected it with my helmet scanner. “Hmm. The internal structure is holding. The Bridge has been created. The path is open. You may send your allies through.”
I gave Morgala the go-ahead. My drill does indeed work, but Morgala has one more question.
“And what of the Underworld?” She crossed her arms and glared at me.
“That will take some more time, but after a day or two, many excavation sights will be created by the power of the Chaos Drill. All over this world, gates will be opened. You only need to wait. You can begin the assault now, though. I wanna watch the start.”
“I see...and what of you?” She purred with excitement as her deep-sea eyes stared directly into my head. “You have done so much for us and have asked for nothing in return.”
“I have a dragon to consult as well as more test subjects to augment. You do your thing and I will do mine.”
“Very well. We will resume our operations on this continent once Heaven is in our grasp.”
She tapped her golden scanner and began to speak: “ The Destroyer has done it. The path is clear. Dark Gods, the time is now. Bring any refugees of the Underworld and take the portal.”
She took off her scanner which resulted in her host body falling unconsciously to the floor. A dark ethereal version of herself flew up to the portal and was shot up its beam into the clouds.
“Welp she’s gone now, It's time to continue to work on how to capture a god. I hope this ordeal takes time.”
“Mhmmm. That’s great, My Lord. Want me to spit out some more girls?”
“That’s alright. But that dragon that she mentioned with the power of the future—if we are going to conquer everything in this world as well as both heavens, then I’ll need to acquire his insight.”
I walked by all the lifeless craftsmen who died working on the Chaos Drill. Their sacrifice was in vain, probably. It depends on who wins, though. I didn't mind either way.
I gazed upward towards the midnight sky in my Demon Lord armor like an over-exaggerated edge lord. “I wonder how that Savior is doing?”
