Chapter 139:

Rika and Masaru's wedding

Spice of life [Remake]

Masaru let out a heavy sigh as the renovation team finished work on the newly renovated Wedding hall. "Why did you decide to add a wedding hall here?" he asked Rika.

"So we can get married here. Plus once we're done, others can too."

"I will admit, it certainly would be a good business move, but does that mean we're going to revive the whole hotel that used to be here too?"

Rika's smile told him the answer was indeed, yes. Though he had more immediate things to worry about, such as his own wedding.

Wanting to have a big celebration and get married before giving birth, Rika made sure to lay the groundwork as best she could to have the wedding hall renovated as soon as possible. It was now July of 2017, but everything was done. All that was left was the actual ceremony, which occurred on July 28th, 2017.

Masaru stood nervously at the alter garbed in a tuxedo as he gazed out at the audience. Since Rika considered all the patrons family, everyone was invited, though not everyone could get seated in the wedding hall. Luckily, Rika made sure everything was streamed to the TVs throughout the restaurant.

"So glad we're on Summer break. Now we can be at Miss Rika's wedding," Yuni smiled as she sat with the triplets.

"Ugh, why'd the only seating have to be behind her?" Serika grumbled.

"It was first-come first-served," Mochi stated.

"Say, we can get married here too, right? Bianka asked.

Over on another bench, Azuki glared, as Rize sat smugly next to her. "Why are you here?"

"Surprised you showed up, mommy."

"And why must I attend?" Benihime scowled.

"Tabemono gakuin alumni, yada, yada. Oh, and if ya try and raise a fuss, I got duct tape at the ready."

"You think I'd protest their marriage? If that man is willing to sell his soul to that murderer, let him."

At the other end of the bench, Honoka and Hanabi thumb wrestled as Izumi, Nero, and Ryuujin watched. Eluf was also seated nearby and sipped his tea, deciding that today was a day off from thievery.

What was most surprising though was the fact that Nino and Ichika were also in attendance. Though to keep up appearances, they had opted to tie themselves up and hide inside one of the benches, in order to claim they were brought there against their will. Rika was aware, but decided to allow it, so long as they promised not to mess with her soon-to-be family.

As for Ryokoma's staff, they had elected to make the wedding cake. Once all the food was done, they temporarily suspended food service in order to attend the ceremony. Once they were seated, it began.

The doors opened as Rika, garbed in a western wedding dress, walked down the aisle.

"Wow, she looks good," Madoka nodded as she snacked on some creped.

"I'd look better in a wedding dress," Helga grumbled.

"Just saying, the wedding hall officially opens to everyone once Ri-chan's wedding is over," Mimi smiled.

"Oh, I approve!" Harumi smiled.

"So got anyone you're thinking about marrying?" Zuina asked Itsuki.

"Not yet. How about you, Matcha?"

Rather than respond immediately, Matcha began to tear up. "Waki would have been her best woman..."

Itsuki smiled and gently patted her on the back. "I'm sure she's watching down from above," she nodded as she glanced at the photo of Waki Matcha was holding.

When Rika reached the alter, the priest began reciting the vows. Naturally, both Rika and Masaru said "I do" and were pronounced husband and wife. After that, everyone made their way back to the restaurant where everyone else was waiting to congratulate the newlyweds and eat the food that had been prepared.

"Alright! Now ready for some wedding music?" Onrai asked as his band began to play.

"I got wedding-themed magic tricks too," Maju smiled.

Rika and Masaru then made their way towards the giant wedding cake the staff had made and tried it.

"Free cake for everyone, but only a slice per person," Rika declared.

The day was festive and one no one would forget. As the restaurant closed up for the night, Rika leaned back and gazed up at her wedding ring.

"W- Was it suitable?" Masaru asked.

"Yeah, now lets sleep together. One of the hotel rooms has been renovated."

"Wait, but doesn't Nero sleep there?"

"He said it was fine, besides it's a brand new room that no one's ever slept in yet. Brand new bed too."

"We can't have sex."

"Look at you thinking about sex. Well, you did just marry a beautiful woman. Besides, I hear oral sex is a go even during pregnancy."

"Wait, What!?"

Masaru began to turn redder than a tomato as Rika laughed before smiling serenely.

"I'm glad you married me, Masaru."
