Chapter 10: Hana Meets a New Friend!

Big Sis Slyvia was already making breakfast, and it smelled so yummy! But I was still sleepy from Steward's super hard tuition yesterday…

"Hana!! We're gonna miss the bus!!" Big Sis Slyvia shouted, and I jumped out of bed! Tama was still sleeping, and she was naked! I giggled and tried to wake her up.

"Hey, Tama, hurry up or you'll be late for school!!" I said, and she rubbed her eyes.

"Okaay...huaah!!" She shook her head, and we both started getting ready. Big Sis Slyvia was being like a mom, telling us to hurry up.

"Hurry, hey!!! Hurry up!!!" She kept saying, and I felt like we were in a big rush! But it was fun!

After a quick breakfast, we rushed to the bus, with Big Sis Sylvia by my side and Tama clinging to Brother Hazlan, who was totally smitten. Big Sis Sylvia teased him, "No lovey-dovey!" and we both giggled.

At school, we faced a surprise: Mr. Rahim, the infamous firebrand, was substituting for our sick teacher. Big Sis Sylvia whispered, "Let's hope he doesn't go berserk today..."

"Okay everyone, settle down!" Mr. Rahim said, but before he could start, a cute girl with a super long black ponytail burst in, looking like a lost kitten!

"Uh, sorry teacher, is this 2 Buccaneers?" she asked, and we all went “Aww!"

Mr. Rahim raised an eyebrow. "You're really young to be late, and what's with the weird answer?" Maya looked down, and we all thought she was so adorable!

"Okay, come on in!" Mr. Rahim said, trying to hide a smile. Maya wore a pinafore that was a bit too short, and we all giggled!

She bowed and introduced herself. "I'm Maya...nice to meet everyone!" And we all thought, "Aww, she's so sweet!”

But then Mr. Rahim asked, "Is that all?" And Maya said, "Yep..." with an angelic smile that made Mr. Rahim go “Hmmm!"

"Is that all...?" Mr. Rahim asked again, trying not to laugh. And Maya said, "Uh, I think so..." We all burst out laughing!

“okay….what about your background?” Mr Rahim ask her again and she started to reply back

"Umm...it's a secret!" Maya said, winking at Mr. Rahim with a super cute pose, making us all go “Kyaaa!"

Mr. Rahim's face turned bright red, and we could see the steam coming out of his head! Everyone was like, "Oh no, she's in trouble now!”

But Maya just giggled and batted her eyelashes, making Mr. Rahim even more flustered! We were all dying from laughter, trying not to get in trouble!

But then, Mr. Rahim suddenly became super calm and said, "Fine, find a seat..." Maya grinned mischievously and sashayed into the class!

She plopped down next to me and whispered, "Hi, I'm Maya! Nice to meet you!" I was like, "Wow, she's so bubbly!”

Mr. Rahim started the lesson, but Maya interrupted him with a cute voice, "Ummm, Mr. Rahim…"

"Yeah?" he replied, trying to sound stern.

Maya made an adorable pose and said, "You're so CUTE!!" She winked at him, and we all exploded into giggles!

Big Sis Sylvia warned us about Mr. Rahim's super-short fuse, and now we saw it go KABOOM! He turned beet red and erupted like a volcano, spewing out steam!

"You all finally have a class clown...well, then, let's continue..." He grumbled, trying to hide a smile.

After class, we all swarmed around Maya like bees to honey! We had a short chat, and she told us, "Hehe, I love making people laugh!”

We all giggled and asked her, "How did you do that?!" Maya just winked and said, "It's a secret!"

Maya's awesomeness didn't stop at being a class clown! She was also a math magician, answering questions with ease and accuracy, leaving us all speechless!

But that's not all - in physical education, she transformed into a speedy superstar! Maya outran even Mr. Marcus, who was left stunned and wondering, "What in the world…?!"

Mr. Marcus couldn't believe his eyes, and we were all cheering, "Maya, Maya, Maya!" She took the gold medal in our unofficial class Olympics!

But, Maya's a bit different... She doesn't eat much, except for one thing - CARROTS! She loves them! Even in the cafe, she only asks for carrots and mayonnaise. We find it funny!

When we're hanging out, Maya smiles at the grade 6 boys, and they try to smile back. But I want to pull her away because those boys might have other intentions…

I whisper to her, "Hey, Maya, those boys might want something else..." Maya just giggles and winks, and I'm worried!

Hehe, the boys wanted to talk to Maya more, but I pulled her back, like a protective big sister!

Then, one of the boys whispered to himself, "Hey, don't you know who that kid is?"

Another boy replied, “Huh?"

The first boy warned, "Jack!! That's Sylvia's little sister and Alex's real little sister!!"

Jack's eyes widened, "Huh!!!? Oh no, sorry!!”

He quickly apologized and said, "Okay, okay! We don't want to disturb you again!!" And he backed away, looking scared!

The boys ran away, and I felt happy that I protected Maya!

Maya asks me, "Your brother is Alex?”

I'm like, "Yeah! Do you know him?" I wonder why she's asking…

Maya shakes her head and says, "Uh...nope..." But I'm super curious!

I look at her with big eyes and ask, "You sure?" And she shakes her head again!

We're walking back to class together, and I think, "This popular girl is getting more mysterious!"

After class, Maya stuck to me like glue! I wondered what's going on…

"Hey Hana!" She tapped my shoulder in a super cute way.

"What's up?" I asked, curious.

"My grandpa's late to pick me up...so...can I go to your home with you?" Maya looked up at me with big eyes.

That's strange, but I felt like she needed help. So I said, "Let me ask Big Sis Sylvia…okay?"

When we reached the 3 Buccaneers' hangout, I saw Sylvia studying with glasses on - I'd never seen her like that before!

One of the seniors asked me, "Hey! You okay? Looking for someone?”

"Yeah...I want to talk to Big Sis Sylvia," I said, pointing at Sylvia, who was still in study mode.

The senior yelled, "HEY!!!! SYLVIA!!!!" Maya squealed, "Oooo, they're like pirates!!”

Sylvia looked up, surprised, and walked towards us. "Huh? Oh, Hana!”

I asked, "Ummm, Big Sis...can Maya come home with us? Her grandpa's late.”

Sylvia looked at Maya, thinking, then asked me, "What happened?”

I explained, "Her grandpa's late, so I thought she could wait at our house.”

Sylvia smiled like Big Brother Alex and said, "Let me think...okay..."

Suddenly, a boy bursts in, "OH SHIT!!!! Is that Alex's sister?!”

Everyone swarms around us, asking, "Hey, where's your big brother?!”

Sylvia tries to hold off the mob, but they keep coming! "We need his help!!" they chorus.

Big Sis Sylvia is like a bouncer, using her legs to keep them at bay! "HEY, calm down! One by one, please! I told you Alex isn't around, so don't disturb my sister!”

But then, a girl asks out of nowhere, "SISTER?! Are you already married?!”

I can't take it anymore! "HEY!!!! BIG BROTHER BELONGS TO NO ONE FOR NOW!!!!" I shout at the top of my lungs!

But the chaos just gets WORSE!!!

They're still swarming around us, and Sylvia is struggling like a crazy girl!

"Hey Maya, looks like it's okay, I think..." But then I see Maya's face, and she's FASCINATED! Her eyes are super wide!

"WHOA!!!!!! REAL CHAOS!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOO!!!!" Maya exclaims, and I'm just standing there, speechless!

Big Sis Sylvia suddenly transforms into an AMAZON WARRIOR, tossing boys left and right like they're rag dolls!

She clenches her fists and warns everyone to CALM DOWN, but it's too late! The chaos is OUT OF CONTROL!

Just when we think it can't get worse, Big Sis Mariam and Big Sis Priscilla burst onto the scene!

"What in the name of all that's holy is goin' on here?!?! This is bloody chaos, I tell ya!!" Big Sis Priscilla exclaims, her eyes WIDE WITH SHOCK!

But before she can even try to stop it, one of the boys pipes up, "HEY!!!!! SHE'S ALREADY MARRIED, SENIOR!!!!" Oh no, they're making it WORSE!

Big Sis Mariam just laughs and says, "Kukuku... Alex, huh? Leaving his wife here, eh?" NOOO, Big Sis Mariam, don't encourage them!

Big Sis Priscilla LOSES IT, "OI, SIL!!! WHAT'S THE STORY, MATE?! THAT'S NOT THE SCRIPT WE WENT OVER, FAIR DINKUM!!" Oh no, not again! Please don't fight, Big Sis Priscilla!

Big Sis Sylvia's had enough, "WHY DON'T YOU STOP BEING CHILDISH AND STOP THIS HORDE, THEN WILL YA!!!" She's shouting at the top of her lungs!

Big Sis Mariam chimes in, "Kukuku... this is what happens when you suddenly declare to them..." BUT Big Sis didn't declare anything, they just BLURTED IT OUT!

Big Sis Sylvia's still fuming, "GET THAT NUMBSKULL HEAD OF YOURS TOGETHER AND ACT LIKE A VICE PRESIDENT FOR ONCE!!" She's tossing boys left and right like they're rag dolls, just like in a ROYAL RUMBLE wrestling match that Big Brother loves to watch!

"ARE YOU TELLING ME MY BOOBS ARE SMALLER THAN YOURS?!!" Big Sis Mariam, THAT'S NOT THE POINT!!!!

Big Sis Sylvia's face turns beet red, "ARE YOU HAVING A BREAKDOWN?!!" She's shouting, and her eyes are getting all crazy! I can see an eerie aura around her, and I think she's going YANDERE MODE!!

Big Sis Sylvia suddenly SNAPS, "THAT'S IT!!!! YOU ALL ARE GOING DOWN!!!!”

Everything around us is FLYING - boys, girls, books, chairs, tables, even the whiteboard! It's getting super scary!! But Maya's not afraid, she's actually EXCITED?!

"WHOOO HOOO, IT'S A BRAWL!!!!" Maya jumps into the chaos, laughing maniacally!

Just when I thought it was all over, Big Brother Amin bursts onto the scene! Finally, some salvation!!

But wait, he's not here to save the day... "ITS A BRAWL!!!! LET'S GO!!!" Oh no, not again!!!!

Big Brother Amin gets pulled by Mariam from his legs and used as a HUMAN SLINGSHOT! I hear Big Sis Mariam shouting, "AMIN SLASH!!!!!!”

Big Brother Amin is just a weapon to her now! Big Sis Mariam is wielding him like a sword, swinging him around and taking down everyone in their path!

I see boys and girls flying left and right, and even the furniture is getting smashed! It's total chaos!

Maya's still excitedly cheering, "WHOOO HOOO, IT'S A BRAWL!!!!" while I'm just standing here, eyes wide with shock!

Big Sis Sylvia's still in YANDERE MODE, Big Sis Mariam's still swinging Big Brother Amin around, and I'm just praying for this to end soon!

Oh no, oh no, oh no! I hear a stampede coming, with a massive dust cloud behind it... IT'S MR. RAHIM!!!!! THIS IS GOING TO GET WORSE!!!

"YOU ALL ARE GOING TO DETENTION!!!!!!" Mr. Rahim charges at them like a raging bull, sending boys, girls, and even cats flying!

Big Sis Sylvia is fighting Big Sis Priscilla, while Big Sis Mariam is taking down everyone else with Big Brother Amin as her trusty weapon, swinging him around like a mad girl!

It's PURE CHAOS!!! Someone please stop this!!!

I climb up to the roof to escape the mayhem, but all I see is a giant dust cloud, with shouting, screaming, punching, and kicking sounds coming from below!

Maya joins the fight, and I try to pull her out, but she says, "Hey!!! Stop it, I want to have fun too!!!" She keeps fighting me, and I'm like, "Huh? Where did this come from?”

I try to reason with her, "Hey!!" But she just says, "Come on, let's have some fun!!" We start fighting, and I'm thinking, "Wait, we're fighting each other?”

But then I remember, Big Sis Sylvia trained me in Savate, and Big Sis Nat taught me some tricks too!

Now, the whole class area of 3 Buccaneers has turned into a BATTLEFIELD!

Maya comes at me with a flurry of kicks, but I dodge them easily and try to take her down with a leg sweep! She avoids it, and I'm like, "Wow, you're pretty fast!”

Maya grins and says, "Wow, you know how to fight nice!!!" I'm getting annoyed, so I tell her, "Well, I don't want you staying at my place like this!!”

Maya suddenly stops fighting and says, "Okay, okay, I'll stop!!" We escape the chaos and sit on the roof, watching the mayhem below like a raging river.

I start chatting with Maya, asking her, "Where does your grandpa work?”

She replies, "Ummm... he's like a traveling teacher…"

I try to relate, saying, "Oh, my mom's an anthropologist, she travels too!”

Maya looks confused, saying, "Uh huh... don't understand that word... uh…"

I try to explain, "An... thro... po... lo... gist... get it?" We both giggle!

Just then, Big Sis Sylvia appears out of the dust cloud like a ninja, shaking off the dust from her uniform!

She sits next to us and says, "Welcome to the Buccaneers, home of the pirates... Maya, I think I'm okay, but can you call your grandpa later? He'll worry if you're not in school."

"YAAY!!!" Me and Maya are jumping up and down like crazy!

Big Sis Sylvia says with a smile, "Seems like they're still going at it, since Priscilla's there... at least I'll slow down eventually…"

Maya asks Big Sis, "Do they do this every day?”

Big Sis Sylvia replies with an angelic smile, "I pray you don't need to experience that kind of situation…"

We head back to class together, and when we arrive, Mr. Akira, the new teacher, is already there!

Big Sis bows elegantly, "Sorry for the lateness, I brought this student here…"

Mr. Akira smiles, "It's okay, thank you, Ms. Sylvia…"

Big Sis waves goodbye, and I think to myself, "I really like Big Sis Sylvia already! She's always looking out for us and keeping us safe!”

In class, Maya whispers to me, "She's really a good sister... if I had a family like that..." I see a hint of sadness in her eyes, but I quickly hug her and say, "Stop it, we can be besties!!”

Maya's face lights up with a cheerful smile, and I'm happy we're friends!

School's out, and we meet up at the front gate where Big Sis Sylvia is waiting for us, along with Tama and Hazlan. But, we're blocked by a group of senior boys from Form 5! They're talking to Big Sis Sylvia, and it looks like they're trying to flirt with her!

"Hey Sil, how are you?" one of them says, trying to sound cool.

Big Sis Sylvia replies politely, "Great, Senior. Anything?”

The boy takes a step closer, "Want to hang out with us?" But Big Sis Sylvia ignores him and says, "Sorry, I need to look after my sisters.”

The boy won't give up! He grabs her arm, but Big Sis Sylvia shakes him off and says, "Sorry, Senior.”

The boy's friends try to drag him away, "Hey, bro, come on, man, let's go..." But he's persistent, "Wait up, come on, let's have fun…"

I'm getting angry just watching this! Maya looks at me and whispers, "That boy is really scum..." I nod in agreement!

Big Sis Sylvia's expression remains calm, but I can tell she's getting annoyed. I hope she doesn't have to use her ninja skills on them!

The guy thinks he can push Big Sis Sylvia around, but she's not having it! He grabs her shoulder, but she quickly reverses it and holds him in a tight grip!

"You need to learn manners, especially with girls!" Big Sis Sylvia says, her eyes piercing through him like a strong warrior! "I'm pretty sure the only girls you'll get are just from pictures that guys love to watch…"

Wow, Big Sis is so cool and composed! The guy's face contorts in pain as Big Sis Sylvia twists his arm behind his back!

"Okay, okay!!" he yelps, surrendering.

One of his friends rushes to apologize, "Sorry about it, Junior! He's new here, about to continue with Form 6 after this…"

Big Sis Sylvia bows graciously, accepting their apology, and waits for us to catch up.

Maya looks up at Big Sis with wide eyes and says, "Wow... you're amazing!!!" I nod in agreement, feeling proud to have Big Sis Sylvia as our protector!

We're all on the bus together, Tama and Hazlan are chatting, and Maya's sitting with me.

But Big Sis Sylvia looks different... she's staring down, and her smile seems fake.

"Big Sis?" I ask her, feeling a bit worried.

"Huh?... anything?" She tries to hide behind a weak smile.

"Nothing, Big Sis, you just look sad..." I press her for an answer.

"Oh, it's nothing... maybe I miss your big brother... anyway..." She gives me a devilish grin, but this time it doesn't seem so playful. I can sense that Big Sis is hiding something, and it feels like she's in pain.

We finally arrive at the bus station, and as we walk towards our house, Maya says to me, "This is a nice neighborhood…"

"Yeah, it kinda gives me the vibes of a village..." I reply, looking around at the familiar streets.

The sun is starting to set, casting a warm orange glow over everything. We pass by rows of houses with gardens full of flowers and trees, their leaves rustling gently in the breeze.

"It's so peaceful here," Maya says, breathing in deeply.

"I know, right? It's like a different world from school," I agree, feeling grateful for this quiet life.

As we turn the corner, our house comes into view. It's a cozy little place with a big tree in the front yard, its branches stretching up towards the sky like a giant's arms.

"Wow, your house is so cute!" Maya exclaims.

"Yeah, my mom loves gardening," I say proudly, leading Maya up the path to the front door.

Big Sis Sylvia turns towards us with a warm smile. "Welcome home, girls!" she says, as we step inside.

Just then, Mom arrives with Sam by her side. "Well, may I know who this little one is?" Mom asks me, eyeing Maya curiously.

"It's Maya, and I asked Big Sis Sylvia for permission, and she said it's okay," I explain.

Mom looks at Big Sis Sylvia, who's busy giving Sam attention. "Yeah, if Sylvia allowed it, then I allow it too, right Sylvia?" Mom asks, smiling.

Big Sis Sylvia nods distractedly, "Huh? Yeah... I approve…"

Mom chuckles and says, "Yep, that's what I like about her, Hana. She's always looking out for you girls."

Big Sis Sylvia tells us to freshen up, and I lend Maya some spare clothes since we're the same size. After we change, Big Sis and Mom are busy making dinner, while Tama watches Sam and Steward studies.

Maya's eyes widen, fascinated by Steward, and asks me, "Oooo, who's that?”

I whisper, "That's Steward, he's with the Patriots, and he's Big Sis Sylvia's little brother…"

Maya's curiosity gets the better of her, "Is Big Sis Sylvia married to your big brother?”

Mom's laughter and the clangs from the kitchen fill the air. Big Sis Sylvia rushes over, smiling, "Remember, we're all still young, let's not think about this yet!”

But Mom teases, "Ah, girls, don't worry, she's one of my top choices for your big brother's

future bride!" Big Sis Sylvia's face turns beet red, like a steam train about to explode!

Big Sis Sylvia responds, "Mother, this is not something they need to know..." I chime in, annoyed, "Yeah, Mom, stop it!"

"HEY BIG SIS!!!! I'M NOT APPROVING YET!!!! BLEH!!!!" I say, crossing my arms, while Big Sis Sylvia's face is still steaming like a kettle.

We have a simple dinner, and afterward, Big Sis Sylvia asks Maya to call her grandparents. Maya takes the phone and dials…

"Hey Grandpa... I'm at this place... Jalan Pangiran, house No. 808... yeah, yeah... I'll be waiting, Grandpa... huh?... You're kidding me?... That means... huh? You dumb Grandpa!!!!!!!!" Maya looks furious!

She glances at me with an embarrassed expression, "Um... it's okay... I could stay here for the whole week...?" She looks away, like she's hiding something…

Just then, the phone rings, and Mom answers…

"Hello? Ah, Maya's Grandpa? Yes... yes... it's all good... Sorry to hear about it... It's all good here, there's plenty of space, and Hana would love to have her around... Okay, all good, she'll be safe here... Assalamualaikum”

Mom hangs up and says to me, "Hana, Maya's grandfather had a sudden trip, and she'll be staying with us for a while. Isn't that great?"

I jump up and down with joy, my pigtails bouncing wildly! Maya grabs my hand, and we spin around like crazy, laughing and screaming "Yaaay!!!!!" Sam joins in on the fun, and we become a whirlwind of giggles and spinning bodies!

We twirl around the room, our feet stomping out a happy rhythm on the floor. Maya's eyes sparkle with excitement, and I can feel her happiness infectious!

Big Sis Sylvia and Mom watch us with warm smiles, happy to see us having so much fun. Even Steward looks up from his studies, a hint of a smile on his face!

As we spin, the room becomes a colorful blur around us. We're like three little tops, spinning out of control, but loving every minute of it!

Finally, we collapse in a heap on the floor, gasping for breath, but still grinning from ear to ear. "That was so much fun!" Maya exclaims, hugging me tight!

Big Sis Sylvia hands Maya some clothes and a towel for the night, saying, "You can wear these until tomorrow. Luckily, your uniform is still clean!" Maya thanks her with a smile.

As the evening winds down, Maya and I retreat to our room, chatting and giggling like old friends. Meanwhile, Big Sis Sylvia settles in at the desk, studying hard. But then, she sneaks in a phone call, trying to be quiet…

I try to listen in, curious about who she's talking to. "They're all good here... and we have another guest, I think her name is Maya... uh-huh... okay... dumbass, Alex... bye..." Big Sis Sylvia teases, smiling mischievously.

I realize she's talking to Big Brother! I feel a thrill, wondering what they're discussing. Big Sis Sylvia's smile grows wider, and she looks happy again.

As I drift off to sleep, I think to myself, "One thing's for sure, this house isn't lonely anymore..." With Maya here, everything feels more fun and exciting!
