Chapter 4: Dragon X of X The X Fox

Thanks to Mrs. Yako they were able to patch their injuries. Taro, Ryujin, Ben, and some other guys sat together probably talking about things going forward. Before anyone can start eating Ryujin and Taro gather everyone's attention,

“ I want to thank all of you for being here with us, moving forward from now on we will stand together-” Ryujin puts his hand over Taros shoulder, cutting him off.

“ We’ll face down with Emperor Sakutski and his loyal retainers, we’ll take down the entirety of Emperors rule as the Dragons of the fox!” Ryujin had dropped their new name ever so casually, Taro and ryujin start arguing, it seemed like Taro wanted to reveal the name. Mrs. Yako forced the two to sit down, Cheering and laughter erupt through the cafe. Akira sat with Yuko and Yukio, “ Ahh I was worried the entire time that something was gonna happen!” Yuko rambles on about her worries, Yukio laughs, “ Despite losing you still did a hell of a job, you probably would’ve won if you held on a bit longer!” he says,

“ Which means we’ll just have to train harder for next time!” he smiles cynicaly, the crazy returning to his eyes.
“ Next time?” Akira asks, not sure if she when she would fight Suzuki again, but it wont be soon. “ Well not against Suzuki, we’ll be going against the Emperor guys sooner than we expect, and when that happens we’ll be ready!” He says enthusiastically chowing down on his food. Yuko shifts the conversation in a different direction, back to anime, that was something they could all talk about. The timid girl had grown on Akira, she found herself enjoying her company more and more, slowly but surely she felt the same for the others, she would do everything to cherish this feeling. Suzuki joined them along with the two guys who started this whole thing. The other two stand while Suzuki takes a seat next to Yukio, who looked a littler nervous, his eyes wondering from his plate, to Suzuki, to me then back to his plate on repeat. They sat in silence for a bit. Yukio would’ve broken it but one of the guys spoke first. Or they both did.

“ Im sorry for what I did to you,” the two overlap their speeches, something about not doing stuff like that ever again, bowing in the process. Yuko was flustered at all this,

“ Its alright, I haven’t really held it against you two at all. I would also like to move on from that day, so from now on we can be friends!” Yuko reassures the two, who looked like they were about to cry, it seems what she said really moved them, move they did. After all that they said their goodbyes and headed to a different seat, Suzuki remained.

“ Im sorry too,” She apologises, leaving the three of them confused, Suzuki elaborates.

“ For last week, when I showed up to your school and started a fight. Since were part of the same gang now its best if I clear any tensions I have with anyone…or whatever” she explains looking away quickly, faint traces of red painted her cheeks, it was obvious that she wasn’t very good at this kinda thing. The three got a good laugh at least, “ You don't need to apologise for that,” Akira tells her, she looked relived to hear so, rebounding from the emotion of sorrow joy enlightens Suzukis face,

“ Thats good, cause from now on you work for me!” She announces laughing at the bewildered expression on Akira's face, the two would bicker on for awhile.

“ So what do we know about the Emperor guys?” Yuko asks, Akira knew nothing, and it seemed Yukio was in the same boat as her. “ Their leader is Sakutski, also known as the “Jade Emperor” hes strong and ruthless, the same can be said for his vice leaders, although their names aren’t know they are strong. Other than that nothing else is known,” Suzuki managed to shed some light on the enemy for the three, it might have been a bit but it was helpful.

“ The warriors of the Great sage,” Suzuki blurts out suddenly after 10 seconds of silence, Akira and Yuko were confused, but Yukio seemed to know what she meant,

“ The infamous Soldiers of the monkey king, what about them?” Yukio asks, his expression and tone of voice a little more serious compared to his normal cheery demeanour,

“ If we really want to take on the Emperors rule, we should at least ally with them, that way we won’t be at risk of being ganged up on,” Suzuki states her plan, she was going to let Ryjin know of this tomorrow, when everything surrounding leadership was finalized,

“ Theres no way he’d agree to that,” Yuko says, “ I doubt Ryujin or Taro would be against this-” Yuko speaks, Yukio cuts her off “ Not them, Jin. The leader of the Soldiers of the great sage. He isn’t the type to agree to something like that,” Yukio finishes, he seemed to have something to do with them, or the leader more specifically.

“ Im sure we can change his mind,” Akira speaks plainly, before Yukio can say anything she continues, “ all we to do is beat him in a fight, prove ourselves to this “Great sage”, right Yukio?” She say with full confidence, smiling. Yuko nod her head in agreement. The seriousness that clouded Yukio had dissipated, his smile returned as he laugh,

“ You really think you can take Jin of all people on in a fight, and win?” Yukio continues to laugh, Suzuki seemed like she was trying not to laugh, hues of red taint Akiras cheeks, they would bicker on about this, Ms.Tsumiya had prepped desert as well, a few different choices of ice cream and some toppings, we all get our bowls worth and continue our previous discussion, “ You seem to have something going on with this “Jin” fellow, whats that about?” Suzuki asks in between scoops of her ice cream. Yukio pauses for a second before taking a bite,

“ Its something, I’ll tell you guys eventually, just not now, ok?” the three don’t push any further than that, Yuko shifts the conversation away from gangs to something they can all relate to, anime. They would chat into the night. The four would continue to grow closer as friends, as was everyone present in the cafe.

// JADE DISTRICT, JUNJUIKO CITY//

Night had fallen over the city. A man clad in green walks into a dimly light room, it was decently sized. His greatcoat flowing behind as he walk, talking a seat in the chair that resemble a throne. On either side stood his vice leaders, they remain standing on the side.

“ Word has spread that the Foxes and Dragons met today, the Leaders from both sides were present, for what purpose we aren’t sure. But I suspect they might allie themselves,” Speaks Lila, Vice leader of the Emperors rule. The man rest his head in the palm of his left hand, an amused smile creeps onto his face, as if the mere thought of that happening entertained him. The girl on his right wore a cynical smile, she side eye Lila as she spoke, “ If thats true, which it might just be, that means we’ll end up fighting Suzuki, your oh so dear sister!” Yuka taunts Lila, whom remains composed.

“If it comes to that then so be it, anyone who stands in the way of the Emperor will be cut down,” She simply responds.

“ It doesn’t matter what they do, we’ll crush them all the same…Send word to the others, Its time we start moving forward,” A cruel smile encroaching his face as Sakutski spoke, the leader of the Emperors rule. The mans green eyes glint under the lighting from the room; the room was filled with many things, a circular desk sat at the center big enough to seat 5 people, for now all remain empty. A war was brewing, a large one, a heavenly war if you will. And it seems Junjuiko city will be thrown into chaos as a result, a chaos that would last a while. Who will emerge from this as the victor?
