Prologue: Crossing The Road

It’s a rainy night in Tokyo, Japan. While everyone is at home, a certain someone walks through the empty streets. Wearing a coat and jeans, he enters a video game store.

“Hello, it’s me again!” the young boy says to the middle-aged lady at the counter. He seems to be a regular customer of hers.

“Hey kid, welcome back! What are you looking for today?” she says with a motherly smile. Maybe she’s more than just a store clerk to him.

“I'm looking for that new game that was just released. Do you have it?” he asks, his voice full of excitement, as if he’d do almost anything for it.

“Of course I do, kid,” the middle-aged lady replies, reaching for something in the back, she pulls out the game and shows it to him. “Here it is.”

“Whoa!” he hurriedly walks over to the counter, and asks “How much?”

She looks at him with a smile and says “You seem so excited for this game, don't worry about the price kid, this one is on me.”

The young boy thanks her profusely, and waves goodbye as he leaves the store.

After 2 minutes of walking, he reaches his home which is across the road, he looks right, left, there are no cars.

The boy takes a step, and…

BAM!

A truck slams into him, he dies upon impact, his body is lifeless, but tears were flowing down his face, his life flashed before his eyes, the sad moments, and the happy ones, his life came to an end at the age of 17.
