Brooding chicken.

Ayane already cozied herself inside her share of futon, warming it up like a brooding chicken. Her hair was left untied and dragged on the floor, and the window showed a bright full moon.

"Thats no good, Ayane-chan. You can't let your beautiful hair loose like that while you sleep, its gonna damage your hair!", Sayaka noticed.

"Is that so?", Ayane didn't know. She rarely took care of her hair after 'that's night. How could she fix her hair when her heart needs to be fixed? She shook of her depressing thoughts. It seemed like it was all over, after all. She isn't bullied anymore in school, so that's good.

"Get up.", she picked a comb, "I am going to do braid them for you."

"Ehhh...", Ayane seemed reluctant. "But I just warmed up my futon..."

Sayaka grinned and pulled her out of the futon. "Listen to your senpai's orders!"

Ayane bathed at the moonlight while Sayaka gent combed her hair. "So... there's a lot I want to know, a lot I have missed while you are gone, haven't I?"

"Mhm.", Ayane nodded her head.

She smiled. Ayane really had grown up. "Do you mind if I quench my curiosity?"

"Senpai, you don have to be formal", she laughed lightly. "It feels weird."

"Okay okay."

Sayaka took a deep breath. It was a bit hard to process what questions she would ask after which one. There is a sea of questions, but she knew she couldn't dump Ayane with all of them. She thought of the most important question of them all. Well it was actually three questions. "How did you meet him, my brother? Is he treating you well? Are you two dating?"

She laughed again. It was a girl talk, though it was not with a girl of her age. She always wanted to experience one herself, though she couldn't.

"At the old bridge, when the moon was just like this, but a big bigger.", she gazed at the night sky. Sayaka noticed that she was blushing as she said. "A supermoon night. There I met him. No, we are not dating, and yes, he has been helping me a lot coping up with my surroundings."

"Thats good to hear...", Sayaka sighed. "My brother is quite a handful, you see. Like today, she just brought home a girl without prior notice! Like think about it for a second! What a dumb brother I have..."

Ayane laughed. "But he is responsible. And he tries to help. He has helped me all the way here."

"... thats good to know.", silence remained between them for quite some time. She finished combing the hair and was doing the first few knots of the braids. "Ayane-chan, you are hiding something, aren't you?"

Her heart stopped for a moment. Because it was true. She was hiding something. But how did she know? Was it too obvious? She didn't know. But she knew she definitely can't say those stuffs of her trying to end herself and the bullying she face, or the blackmail to her.
