Chapter 0:
Legend of Ionr
In a small village named Yunt, light flickering on the wooden walls. The children of Yunt sat in a circle, listening to the adventurer who had come to their village. His Name was Hjonir, he told them a story that none of the kids would forget.
“Ionr is a city of legend. It is said to hold all the knowledge in the world—answers to every question, secrets of every kind. But no one knows where it is. No king, no wadventurer, no explorer has ever found it. It’s hidden far away, in lands no map shows.”
The children leaned in closer. Among them was a boy named Cint, smaller in size than most of the other children in the village, he listened to Hjonir carefully and with curiosity.
“They say that Ionr is protected by strange powers, ancient things that keep it safe from those who aren’t worthy. Many have tried to find it, but all have failed, for centuries.”
Cint imagined a place filled with ancient books and wisdom beyond anything he could understand. The idea of a place that could hold every secret of the world fascinated him.
One of the boys asked him“are you also looking for it?”
Hjonir nodded “Yes,” he said. “I’ve traveled far and wide, but Ionr remains out of reach. I’ve followed rumors, seen clues that lead nowhere, but I continue to look for it.”
As the fire burned low and Hjonir's tale came to an end, the children slowly began to leaving, one by one, until only Cint remained. He sat in silence, gazing into the dying flames, his thoughts consumed by dreams of Ionr and the adventures that lay beyond the borders of his small village.
Noticing Cint still sitting by the fire, Hjonir approached with a smile. "What's your name, kid?" he asked.
"My name is Cint," the boy replied.
Hjonir chuckled "No need for 'sir.' What’s on your mind? Everyone else has gone home."
Cint hesitated for a moment "I was just thinking... how do I start adventuring? I want to find that legendary city."
Hjonir placed a hand on his shoulder. "You’ve got spirit, but you’ll need to grow stronger before you set off on an adventure like that."
Cint nodded, "I understand. But one day, I will find that treasure."
With a warm smile, Hjonir encouraged him. "I have no doubt you will. Good luck, Cint." He gave a final wave, his hand lingering in farewell before he went to a room he rented to get rested and continue his journey.
