Castle caper Part 4

Melinda grabbed the cloak and pulled it back, only to find the dagger stabbed into the hinges of the opened metal box underneath it. Before she could react, Yuni leapt out of the darkness and tackled her, sending the two tumbling into the scaffold.

“IMPOSSIBLE! HOW COULD SOMEONE LIKE YOU-“

“See through it? Simple, the fact that you took away our smartest friend, and the one that can see through disguises. You think I didn’t take that insult you hurled at me back in Greece seriously!?” Yuni shouted as she wrestled with Melinda.

“You’re no Kabuki Dakota! You’re just an idiot!”

“That beat you! Enjoy your Reichenbach, BITCH!” Yuni yelled as she mustered all her strength to throw Melinda over the railing of the scaffolding as the clock struck midnight.

Melinda screamed in terror as she clutched the cloak and fell to the city below. As Yuni picked herself up, the rope holding the scaffolding suddenly snapped. As she began to fall, Serika lunged out and grabbed her in the nick of time. She roared as she tapped into her inner strength to hoist Yuni back to safety. The two girls laid on the ground and breathed heavily.

"O- Onee-san... You could move?"

"Not anymore. I managed to resist the serum briefly, but that was it. I can only resist it for a minute or two at most. But I'm gonna yank your twintails out. That was too damn reckless! I thought you died!"

“They say to fool your foes, you gotta fool your friends,” Yuni smiled.

"I WAS WORRIED!"

"Wait, did you seriously not notice me making preparations?"

"Then why the hell did we even save her!?"

"Who knows what trap she might have activated if we didn't. But thank you for saving me."

"I'm your older sister. It's my damn duty to protect you."

Yuni smiled and gave Serika a kiss on her forehead. Serika became a bit flustered, but ultimately let out a sigh. "Well, call Madoka and tell her to hurry up and save Emeri. No way you can carry me down on your own."

Melinda groaned as she lay embedded in the ground at the bottom of Big Ben. Thanks to the cloak, she had miraculously survived the fall, however, all her bones had been broken.

As she groaned in pain, she noticed a hooded figure hovering above her. "You... YOU!"

The figure simply stared and with a flash of their cloak, both him and Melinda vanished.

Elsewhere, Eriza prepared to deal a fatal blow to Emeri, but Madoka put a stop to that by unleashing a powerful kick down on the truck bed, causing the entire truck to flip over. Eriza immediately lost her balance, giving Madoka the chance to save Emeri and knock out Eriza with a powerful blow to the head.

It was so powerful, Madoka could even hear Eriza's skull cracking as she went flying out and faceplanted into the concrete.

She hopped out with Emeri and set her down, before breaking Eriza's arms and legs to prevent her from moving.

"Sorry about this. You alright, Emeri?"

Emeri groaned as she attempted to touch her bruised face. "Her punches hurt like hell, in more ways than one. Where are Yuni-chan and Serika-chan?"

Before Madoka could reply, a call came in from Harumi stating that the mansion would be sailing into London soon. Madoka nodded and quickly dialed Yuni.

"Really? That's great. But could you come to pick us up at Big Ben?"

"What happened?"

Yuni quickly filled Madoka on what went down.

"YOU BEAT HER!?" ...Heh, guess all that training paid off. Once we rendezvous with momma and drop off Eriza, we'll send someone to get you."

Yuni smiled and hung up before informing Serika on what went she had been told.

"Welp, at least the weather's not too bad," Serika grumbled.
