The futuristic utopia

"Ah I don't like the moon tonight, lets make the sunrise! "

The dozens of bright pink- blue rectangular screens appeared in the air with an abrupt beep as the dark black night suddenly transformed into a bright sunshine day. The tall buildings kissing the sky line were scattered in the city criss crossed by levitating magnetic roads. Up in the sky a long chain of ufo like vehicles  were following in a straight line, people walked in the sky wearing some metallic shoes which were emanating puple flame from heels. 

"Ah shit, gotta revise the history lessons for tonight", a young boy wearing a rubber suit sighed sitting on the levitating concrete pull which extended till the horizon like the rails of a rollercoaster.

With the vertical swipe in air a 3D lighted hologram book appeared before him. 

Year 2069, "The Alter event" which followed the bombarding of a mysterious element "Alterium" from space evolved the very existence of humanity. The "fifth dimension" made possible by the Alterium has ended the age of expansion and conquest of the major countries of world. This new dimension evolved multiple worlds within our world which led to signing of the nuclear disarmament treaty between the major nuclear powerhouse under the aegis of UNSC.

Year 2075, when the temperature rose above 2°C from pre industrial level, the 5th dimension created by Alterium had made climate change a laughing pity. Even now, about four hundred years since then, the 50° C change in temperature is not a single worry.

The Nobel Prize in Economics of the year 2142 was awarded to Sugoistra Subaraichis who has revolutionized the application of Alterium in ending the poverty, hunger and scarcity of goods.

This truly is an utopia where main concerns of humanity have vanished. The ordinary life has evolved in the futuristic world made possible by the fifth dimension. It took mankind to thousands of years since inception to unravel the secret of 4th dimension, the time. It made time travel possible in 2068. But only within a single year following it, "The Alter Event" led to introduction of an mysterious element Alterium. 

"It's so boring reading the history, well I guess it is some Alterium fun time", as he poked a finger in the floating transparent book, it disappeared after shattering into glass pieces. 

The rustling screech of wheels of train flicked his ears which prompted him to backflip on the track. Those long glittering track were made of some spongey material which shrinked down as he put his foot on them. 

"Here it comes........... "

The levitating train running with 5000 kmph promoted a nasty grin on his upraised lips as the red front lights of it fell on his body and instantly the train passed the places after crushing over him. 

"Peek peek"

Multiple pink-blue little screens came out from the tail of train which slowly dispersed unraveling him who stood unharmed maintaining the same grin. 

"Well this is the magic of Alterium...... " he sat back on the edge of the bridge. No, I think it will be wrong to call it a magic. The Alterium is a complicated element but its functioning has become quite easy to understand, all thanks to the recent research. 

To begin, since the Alter event, 400 years ago, mankind has become habitual to the Alterium, which is multiplying in millions every day. It is absorbed in the buildings, the roads, these flying mini ships, rails, our food.......and even us humans. The chief function of Alterium is genesis of a "5th dimension", which is nothing but the cluster of individualistic worlds within our world. And within those cluster lf discrete worlds there resides another cluster of discrete worlds and so on. Only humans have learnt to transpass this 5th dimension created by Alterium and all the inmate objects have been put in 5D by default. 

"See the train was in a discrete world of itself, I have activated a 5D world around me so even if we collided, I escaped unharmed because I and that train were residing in completely seperate discrete worlds, even though out original world is common. ", he jumped down the bridge and swiped his right hand in air. " Galactic boosters " he pressed on the written letters of the small green transparent screen which disappeared as his shoes cracked from backheal............... "WOOOOHOOHOOOOOOOOOO", he laughed as the powerful punches of air scratched is stomach. He was flying in the sky extending his both hands too and fro to glide through the mountainous peeks of buildings which were moving up and down through a invisible spring fitted in the middle. 

"Ouch ouch..... Just kidding! " he winked his tongue out which was bitten by his teeth, "Ah this hurts", he went thrashed in the snakey tower which was curving in a helical shape.  The sparkling glassy crystals appeared as he hit the surface and he emerged out from other side. 

" Woooohoooohooooooooo....... Alterium is life saver!!!" he flipped upside down and started falling like a meteor. As he was about to crash he pressed the button on the wrist of his glubs which let out a pressurized wave of air against the levitating road....... "A safe lending! ".He pressed his toes which transformed the sole of his shoes into wheels. 

The lifestyle has changed so much since the Alter event. The 5th dimension has created a new utopia on our planet. Reading history of centuries back seems like a joke when that kind of world was our planet where countries fought for the expansion and territory. But now with appearance of infinite discrete worlds within other infinite discrete worlds has made territorial expansion a redundant exercise. The poverty is no more present when everyone is master of multiple worlds where he can do anything without any dearth or interference. Climate change is not any big problem anymore since even the earth boils down thousands of degree, we can still influx the green house gases and pollution in those millions of worlds. For some reason it seems like we have reached a utopia, a peaceful world which is free from the threats and difficulties which ones scared the very core of humanity. 

"But it wouldn't have been possible without the progress in science which created this futuristic ecosystem to support Alterium. " he bent his knee which slowed down the wheels. 

"But is it really some utopia.....??? 

" I don't know, but there are some new problems have originated...... Well I'm not sure whether it is right to label them as problems"

The appearance of 5D and discrete worlds has altered human behavior. The 10 billion population before the Alter event in 2069 has came down to staggering 7.6 million in present year of 2469. The technological advancements propelled by the Alterium has made possible to design the artificial babies according to your preferred values and traits. Initially, a couple of centuries ago, it was considered illegal and unethical but now it has gained legal status to support this disrupted lifestyle. Many people have given up on natural births. But it's not like humans have lost interest in their pleasure activities, it is just the mode of consumption has changed bizarrely. 

"Oh damn...... " his eyes fluttered on seeing a man clinging to a woman in the nook of a silent street. He pressed his toes to accelerate as his eyes met with that man. 

See that guy must have forgot to sync the 5D world around that woman since in absence of such extension those discrete world merges with our real world. That woman has no ears, it explains why he has to sync the 5D world since she couldn't because she was not a human to begin with, she was an AI, a manipulated one. The other kind of AIs are independent ones and these AIs have become one of the pivotal theat......... No???

"Let me explain", he closed his eyes and scratched in the air using the right index finger. The empty, silent and peaceful world around him has suddenly turned in a dark atmosphere with purple sky where everything around the horizon was painting blood red. There was millions of AIs in human as well as bot forms which were gathered in a protest. 

"Phew! " , he suddenly waved his right hand to get back in the previous empty world of him. 

See that was the original world Inhabited by AIs which have already surpassed the humanity in numbers. They were demanding human rights. But again, it doesn't matter since the mankind is not favour of that idea and as they can't use 5D world by themselves these AIs are practically harmless. 

"In a world where everyone lives in their own discrete worlds, human to human contact has become almost inexistent. But today is the historic day in history of mankind. The  𝙛𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙙𝙤𝙢𝙨 are coming together for an secret announcement which will be broadcasted in the whole world. For the first time in last 400 years, it has been made compulsory for humans to sync their discrete worlds......... " he murmured when a red crystal screen appeared before his driving face. 

"𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉"  ........"𝘼𝙏𝙏𝙀𝙉𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉".............

"5 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙪𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜" 

He smashed the screen by his face and swiped his both hands together vertically in the air which transformed his pants in a transparent jet. "Ah, wait! ", he waved his hand over his face which led to covering of his white tonned beardless face by a black helmet. 

3...........2.........1........ " HERE I GOOOOOOOOOOOOO", as he clapped his hands together the jet in his paints propelled and took off in a hypersonic speed. 

"Wheeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzz"

The empty discrete world was getting behind with each passing nano second so that everything around appeared him blurry, all due by the monstrous speed. The same red crystal screen reappeared counting back from 10 as he entered in a gigantic open circular arena floating in the sky. It was getting supported by the high powered Alterium beams,criss-crossed at the bottom of arena and  appeared grey in texture. The screen disrupted with appearance of zero, the whole empty arena with only his presence erratically become overcrowded as multiple people seemed to be summoned there. 

He glared here and there over their faces. Some have animal heads attached on their body while some have fire, trees, washing machines and even underwears!!! "Phew, I forgot! ", he closed his eyes and his face morphed in a train boogey as he remembered the levitating train from back. 

" Ahhhhh............ ", I can't believe I forgot to cover up my face. Well it is expected for people to morph their faces since humanity has almost stopped interacting with each other. Also I forgot to mention that since this arena (and I'm sure thousands of others in the whole world also) is targeted by multiple Alterium beams, therefore the discrete worlds of every single person in the world have merged together. That is why now everyone can interact with each other. But like hell anyone wants to interact.

*𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙅𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙫𝙪𝙨𝙝 𝙄𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨*.......... 

*𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙝𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙭𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙨*

*𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚,𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙇𝙪𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙨*

The periphery of arena got covered by five big emergent crystal screens with colours beginning from violet, pink, white, green and blue. 

"Ever since Alter event the boundaries of world have become redundant so most of the countries have lost geographical meaning. Since then out planet is divided in five parts, and each part is administered by these five kingdoms. Well they are only namesake, it was 340 years ago since today when humanity all around the world has gathered to announce formation of the 5 kingdoms. And it is now only when these useless kingdoms have interacting before us", he sensed a weird stare from behind but even though the overcrowding prevented him to move even a single inch. Suddenly the representatives of kingdoms continued one after another........... 

"𝙏𝙤𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 340 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙜𝙤....." another pink screen glowed up, 

"𝙒𝙚 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙞𝙣 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙".........

A black shadow inside the white screen reappeared, " 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩....... 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙞𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙚 𝘼𝙡𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙚𝙧𝙖...... 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙩.......... " ............. 

"𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙂𝙍𝘼𝘿𝙐𝘼𝙇 𝙀𝙓𝙏𝙄𝙉𝘾𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉 𝙊𝙁 𝙃𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙉 𝙀𝙈𝙊𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉𝙎"....... 

The bombs blasted in the sky over arena which formed in a big mirror where the humanity over thousands of such arenas has seen the reflection of their artificial faces.

 " 𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙙𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙛𝙪𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙡𝙤𝙨𝙨 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙗𝙮 𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙........ " The final blue screen turned darker, "𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙗𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙣 ....... "

The arena echoed with the thunderous sounds of crackers, colourful smoke covered the sky all over the world and as all the 5 crystal screens blasted together....... thus begin...... 

"𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙏𝙍𝙄𝘼𝙇𝙎 𝙊𝙁 𝙃𝙐𝙈𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙔"

"Whaaaattttttt, what are these trial shits, anyway it doesn't concern me. Three people from 7.6 millions....... Hahahahaha, it doesn't have anything to do with a ' Normal person' like me", he breath out nonchalantly. 

"𝙉𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨"

There was a feminine robotic voice telecasting from the sky, making it echo all around the world. 

"𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙐𝘼𝙎𝙍'𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙪𝙣"

In the eastern world, a boy wearing a blanket on the floating arena is summoned to a cylindrical stary night tunnel. 

"𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙, 𝘽𝙖𝙠𝙖𝙝𝙤𝙣 𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙭𝙞𝙘𝙖'𝙨 𝙆𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙞"

A woman from the northern corner of world, who was biting her nails, transported to the similar accelerating starry tunnel. 

"𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙛𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨........... "

"Wow, someone from our kingdom. Well it has a population of 1.82 million so who ever that person be, they have nothing to do with the " Normal person " like me.... Hahaha"

"𝘿𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨'............. 𝙎𝙖𝙙𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙖𝙣....... "

The synced 5D discrete world disappeared as the arena become empty again and even though that empty discrete world belongs to him but he was nowhere to seen.............???

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaa........ Where am I?????? "

The twinkling stars of the long cylindrical tunnel made his eyes flutter as his discrete world merged with that of other candidates. And thus begin, the trials of humanity taken by the most normal boy in existence.
