Chapter 1:

Intertwined Destinies

Beyond Eternity

"Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another"

- Albert Einstein.

Our universe...an endless number of galaxies and star systems. Not even in a millennia would humanity find out everything that it hides... But they never expected what it would bring to their front door...
In the Milky Way, where the solar system takes place, composed of the Sun; being the largest central star, followed by a succession of 8 planets... or so it was believed. The truth is that there was a ninth planet that humanity never discovered, a very tiny planet in comparison to the rest of them, it remained hidden due to natural phenomenas, that makes it invisible to see through the lenses of telescopes. In addition, its intrinsic atmosphere it's composed with a barrier that prevents the entry or exit of any type of signal. such planet would be know as "EnCore-35"

And so begins this story

In an aquatic landscape; a figure with a humanoid appearance flies above the river, hovering just above thethe water level at a constant speed. The figure is made up of a kind of thick white cover, with hollow patterns that give off a blue trail on it's end. This being descends until it touches solid ground, from there it walks away, after a while, it finds itself rummaging through a pile of scrap metal that catches its attention, it crouchs to check it with more detail, but ultimately throws it away again considering it useless.
It gets up and continues on its way.
Meanwhile, nearby the area; there is a girl in a deep sleep, upon hearing the noises that the white figure made, she wakes up very sleepy and, without knowing where she was.

"E-eh, what is this place?, where am I?"

She could see that she was on the outskirts of a plain and starts to wander around in search of clues.

That is where they would meet for the first time.

The two of them cross paths, exchanging glances with each other, both of them freeze since neither of them expected to meet the other. The young woman was already quite afraid, and seeing such a strange figure aroused more doubts than relief.
For her, it was some kind of a strange armor pulled out of a science fiction movie, she could guess from its shape that it had all the features to be either a robot or a person wearing it.
To which the enigmatic figures says to her:

"Can I help you?"

The girl was surprised since it spoke in her own language. So she asked him.

"W-who are you?"

The white being stared at her for a moment, to which he raises his arms to his head, and takes off his helmet, revealing his appearance.

"Don't worry, I'm a person like you, see? "(to which he extended his arms as a sign that he was just like her)

He was, in fact, a fairly young boy, showing a slight, sincere smile. Meanwhile, the girl kept asking questions in rapid succession.

"Who are you?"
"And how did I get here?"
"And what is that you are wearing?"

The boy replied to her

"You... you must be one of the newcomers, but what are you doing here and why aren't you with the others?"

The girl shows a gesture of confusion, clearly this raised even more doubts in her than answers.

"Newcomers? I don't understand anything of what is happening"

"For the time being, just follow me, I'll show you the way"

"To where?"

"To your new home..."

The girl was still afraid, but more important was to get answers; so she had no choice but to follow him to see what she can find out.
They walked away, the girl kept looking around to get some reference of where she was, but it was a lost case, she did not remember at all how she got to that place or what place it was. Impatient, and with many doubts to attend to, she uneasily asked the boy she had found.

"Where are we?"

"If I told you, you wouldn't believe me, so I have to show you it first hand."

"But could you at least tell me what country we're in? It doesn't seem like any I know."

"You're very far from from those, I'm afraid."

The girl was losing her patience as she only received vague answers to her questions, so she closed her eyes, inhaled deeply, managing to calm the ideas in her head a little, she wanted to contact her parents more than anything. But she didn't carry any device with her to communicate. She decided to stop asking about the place and focused on getting to know the person who was with him better.

"Well, if you can't tell me where are we, can I know your name at least?"

"My name is Eden."

"Eden eh..., what a curious name."

"Eden, are you from here.?"

The boy raised his hands and crushed his cheeks in a gesture of disgust, clearly answering so many questions was overwhelming to him, and he was not the most expressive person.

"You could say so."

After it, there was silence, pleasant for Eden, but unbearable for the girl.

"So, aren't you going to ask me my name?"

"Oh, right what's your name young lady?."

"My name is Elisabeth, but people call me Lisa."

"Lisa, I see, nice to meet you."

Eden extends her arm to shake hands, Eden's smile seemed much more honest, as they shake hands, Lisa began to feel more secure and confident.

"Come on, we're close now."

They arrived at what seemed to be a train station, no other people in sight, just the two of them. They entered inside one of the wagon.

"Don't we have to pay anything?"

"We don't do that here."

They sat together, the wagon was empty, Eden leaned back and sighed out of tiredness, Lisa, on the other hand, looked out the window excited to know where they were going.
The train began to move, despite being fast, it was not noisy and the feeling of traveling on it was cozy.
After a while, there was complete silence. Eden turned around to look at Lisa, in her eyes, she looked like an excited little girl on her first trip away from home, without noticing it; he had been watching her for a long time, she, when she turned around and noticed it, Eden looked away. This gesture was a little strange for Lisa. As a result, Eden broke the silence, this time he would be more honest with Lisa.

"Look, I know you have a lot of questions and I haven't been much help, but the truth is, what you're about to know isn't easy to digest, but I promise you that everything will be fine."

Having resigned herself to know something from Eden, Lisa was eager to get more information about her whereabouts.

"Listen... do you remember anything before this? How did you get here? Or anything from your normal life?."

"No, I can't remember anything, and to be honest, it scares me. -Said Lisa in a defeated tone

"Well, that was to be expected, the truth is..."

Eden paused, turned his gaze forward, avoiding eye contact. Lisa was attentive to what he was saying, and she had the feeling that what Eden was about to say was not going to be something that could be taken lightly. Eden looks back at her for a moment and continues speaking.

"You are no longer on Earth, you are on what is known as "Encore35", a small planet located in the Milky Way, your normal life is about to change, for better or worse."

Eden paused while speaking at times, so that Lisa could calmly process the situation she was in, step by step.

"Everything here is different from what you have know, the people, the places, the culture."

"But, you still haven't told me how I got here, or what I'm doing here."

"I'm afraid you'll have to find that out for yourself."

The train stopped, both of them gets out. They were just at the border of a city that could be spotted from afar, with really tall buildings, all built with the same architectural pattern consisting in just a single dominant white color for the outside with black on the hidden surfaces, this was applied to all of the buildings. Making then harder to stand out one from another.
From the perspective of Lisa, She though she travelled to the future. Clearly this city was miles ahead of everything she have seem before.

Eden proceed to disclose the name of the city.
